I loved it and hated it all at the same time. The nerves with every wave after wave of barca attack and big fraser scrapping to the ball. Could harldy stand it. You could feel it in there as well, everyone was just beyond nervous and then big wanyama fired that header in and the noise and emotion of seeing that hit the net was absolutley out of this world man. The nerves for the rest of that game were just horrendous. Will never forget the moment wee Tony went through on goal... That split second of pure silence as he shapes his body to hit it.. When it hit the net i dont even remember celebrating. I was that overwhelmed by it that i just stood there with my hands on my head in utter shock at the scenes i was witnessing. Was like i was out of my body for a second and then in a flash thrown back into it to find that there were tears in my eyes and at that moment i realised ill never ever experience anything like this ever again in my life. Couldnt sit down for the remainder of the game. Just stood there rattling saying Hail Marys, cringing every time barca made a pass. Messi scores... "Dont do this Celtic, dont do this to us, please God dont do this to us" Everybody standing screaming for the whistle raging for it! Big man punts the ball right into the north stand... Final Whistle... Chaos... I crumbled man. Until that day i had been to the biggest Celtic European Nights against some of the worlds best teams and was always celebrating like a lunatic no matter who we scored against or who we beat. But that night, i was incabable of celebrating like that. My body wouldnt allow it. It was like every mad celtic moment id witnessed up until that point just flashed though my memory and i experienced them all at once and i crumbled. Grown man crying his eyes out for the Celtic. Just stood in disbelief watching Lennon run onto the park and everyone around me going into oblivion. When it calmed down for a bit i realised that nearly every single person within eye shot had tears on their face. I couldnt bring myself to leave. Eventually just sat down and breathed out looking down onto the misty grass. I didnt want to leave, coz i knew id never see anything close to this ever again. When i think about it, its probably the best moment of my life. They say its just football. Nah not Celtic Park on a Champions League Night... Youd swear those stands are where Heaven meets Earth. It truly is and always will be... Paradise.

Its 2021 now, every single day im thinking about the day when covid is finally gone so we can come together, watch and enjoy matches like this again. Getting tears in my eyes watching this from beautiful clubs like Celtic and their loyal supporters. I knew there was something On walking up the stairs that night, 125th Birthday n all that, could sense the energy n passion n maybe even a wee bit cheeky confidence in the crowd, come what may it's Our 125th and we're going to show Europe what Celtic Park is all about. I've been to many a rangers game in the old CP and Ibrox, Cup Final wins in the 80's n 90's, League Title winning days and a few great European Nights but i swear i've Never seen or heard it as Great as it was that night, still get goosepimples thinking about it. I remember watching this game here in Toronto, Canada. Epic match, and at the end when the stadium sang You’ll Never Walk Alone was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in sports. Gives me goose bumps .
Watched it on the TV but jesus christ with the volume turned up fully I could only imagine what the atmosphere was like i've been to some of the best atmosphere's in celtic Park on glorious times many a time but I would have loved to have been there to just witness that atmosphere you talk about Rod Stewart crying at the end of the game that was me at the start of of it thank god I was brought up a Celtic supporter hh

The amount of Americans that react to like are football over hear well the fans and they all say the same thing they wish they did that with there sports I’ll yous your football as example it would take basically a group of your fans to come together and create the chants and stuff because once a group is doing it it will become easier for the rest to jump on

I just want to say..this was an epic night..a night of heroes..a night of pure football..of drama of joy.. yet no sour grapes..barca handled this loss with true dignity... My lasting memory and man there was hundreds! was post match when Tito Villinova said "I don't like to lose..but if im to lose then this is how I want to lose" what a humble being... and yhe respect he showed post match is a lesson to all..imho. RIP Tito...and thanls for the memories and thanks gor what was another epic barca team.. YNWA xx
This video captures the atmosphere of that night so well. I can still visualise Tony Watt bearing down on the Barcelona goal to settle the tie, even though I was at the other end of the stadium. And the unbelievable feeling of the stand vibrating under our feet. No wonder Messi was impressed, and we even got to say we'd seen him score! Heroes all, but none more than Fraser Forster!

For those saying we only attend for the big games there were 43000 at the weekend against Dundee ffs. Stick that in Anfield it would look packed so I don't really feel like our attendance's are bad considering the level of team we are and the opposition we face in the league.
Anfield holds 45000. Celtic Park holds roughly 60k. Almost 20k seats empty on average per week is shocking. Celtic fans only turn up for the european nights or the Old Firm, but you do make a good atmosphere in these games.
Seen many games with a brilliant atmosphere ( 4_2game in particular) but this is the very best video that catches what the atmosphere was like I watched it on TV that night & believe you me my telly was turned up to full volume we may not play in the greatest league but what we do have is the greatest support in the world this game will live with us Celtic supporters who saw it either at the game or at home until our dying day

Declan Cairns - I was at that game ( I'm a Celtic fan ) my Rangers supporting season ticket holder work colleague covered my shift - what a night for Scottish football - Us O/F fans have a reputation for not getting along ( to put it mildly ) but at the end of the day - Good luck mate ( just not against us :P )
