@@ewanmacfarlane9195 with regards to silly money Rangers still are spending silly money. Given all they've gone through it makes little to no logical sense how they can still have the 2nd highest wage bill in Scotland and spend £7million on players like Ryan Kent less than a decade after their liquidation.
having said that, at the time i remember Dr Joe also wasn't the most popular with Celtic fans, and Celtic fans screaming for Fergus McCann to go and booing him the season after stopping 10 in a row, even after Fergus had saved Celtic from close to a similar fate as what happened to Rangers.
@@KSRugby Aye it's easier too look back in hinsight I suppose because at the time everybody is just so concerned with winning.Your right about them spending silly money the week after they went bust giving 7 grand a week to Ian Black and Lee Mculoch etc made no sense whatsoever still doesn't.
keep drinking the electric soup greg...........the magnificent number 7 was way way way galaxies away better...the stats don,t lie...as we all know the tributes love their stats........both domestic and international stats at that....hurting much.............Hail Hail
your an alky, as all alkys think like you do - biased. your an idiot. you cant see objectively because of your thinking bias. thats the problem. your eyes are wearing emerald green lenses - but you probably cant understand that.
I am blessed to be old enough to have watched (been thrilled by!!) Charlie Tully...then by Jinky Johnston and by Henrik Larsson. !!! and all the other Celtic greats , of course....Liam Griffin.
Was at that game I couldn't believe the player I was seeing in Lubo I remember every of us said Lubo who never heard of him Little did we know he was a gift from God a magician of a player how he never player for a top Club before us baffles me still to this day
How great it was to be scottish in the 90s... This fixture was religion from glasgow all the way to the Shetland Islands... Great memories, womderful rivalry. Bring on next season!!!
17 years younger...its insane he was wasting his talent all those years... alot of scouts with their heads up their arses not doing their....its wasn't just us....the whole football world missed out...Lubo was so good that Henrik said not so long ago he still didn't know what foot was....amazing 🍀🇮🇪🍀
@@shooterdalton5014 it wasnt wasting of talent. He was one of leaders in St. Etienne what was those days great french team. Dont forget it werent scouts but Venglos who gave him a shot and he took it even they boh were criticized for this transfer
I remember being at the game with my mates and saying I didn't like Lubo cos he didn't celebrate.......how wrong was I! Apparently he was quoted as saying he was that stunned he didn't know know what to do
I was in southern Russia when this game was played, phoned home to check on the score and can remember dancing around and celebrating, with another Celtic supporter, happy days. 😬
@@dannyboyle8041 So I was right it was not live. That was the Q (Was it not live at the time?) i asked above in comments 2 years ago but no one reply till I saw your comment, now u answered my Q cheers HH
Moravcik vs Celtic the rest is a history . Mean time Raheem Sterling making more per week than Celtic pay for Moravcik transfer and Sterling is shite compare to Lubo as footballer . Hail Lubo !
Laudrup would have a claim, but Larsson over his career at Celtic was immense, could've had more storied career if left earlier but didn't do too bad huh!
My best mate worked on the main stand as a steward & he let me in but before it we went for a cpl of beers ( I drank then) & I said I feel a bit apprehensive about the game by God I had nothing to fear that day we blew them to smithereins I landed up blootered that night I can tell you woke up to no voice & a throat like a badgers arse still not believing what I just saw 12 hours before brilliant day & night from what I can remember
T Hemphill what we paid for him was a pittance considering what we got and the fact that he chose to stay so long was amazing considering he'd have graced any team in the world
As celtic fan all ma life that only game I said to my mates I think we get fucked the day saying that it cost me big time all ma mates made me buy them all carryout on the way home fae game money well spent I say hail hail
Was at the game, not the greatest Celtic team ever, but what a contrast to the utter mediocrity that's at the club now, Same goes for Rangers/sevco . Scottish football has fallen to a new low in the last decade or so.
Yes fine players , I maybe done that team a disservice, but they won nothing that season. A darn sight better than recent years but. But thankfully the board changed policy recently and employed a top manager and we are seeing the benefits now. Hail hail
Lol!! Fella on Talksport - "I am just ringing about Craig Brown's selection for the Scotland squad and he must know Hearts have a good team. We have Colin Cameron, Steven Pressley. What about Antti Nemi?" DJ - "Antti Nemi? For Scotland??" Fella - "Aye" DJ - "He's Finnish." Fella - "What do you mean he's finished he's only 28." DJ - "No. Not finished. He's from Finland"
