In Sam's video he stated that Celtic were formed in 1887 but if you look on the club badge it says 1888. This was not a mistake on Sam's part. The club was indeed formed in November 1887 but it didn't actually begin playing any matches until 1888. Hence 1888 is on the badge as that is when the club first played a match (Edit - I should've watched it all the way through before commenting LOL!)
Everything got started in 87, but, first game was in 88! I don't suppose Brother Walfrid was in a race to get everything stamped before the New Year bells? He would just be relieved and happy that the first game was about to happen and that monies were finally coming in!
To be fair to Sam, he only missed one or two things! Celtics original name, Glasgow Hibernians, before Brother Walfrid changed it and where Paradise comes from! You CANNOT argue against that, Celtic have WON THE biggest trophy! Only DEFIANT Rangers supporters will TRY and argue, but it's only DEFIANCE! He was a great entertainer and in his prime was a class boxer but not in the same league as the likes of Calzaghe, Nigel Benn, Bruno etc but Naseem vs Barrera is definitely a match that needs checking out .

I took my granddaughter on the stadium tour, she is 17 and has never really cared about football, so on the day we arrive we meet the tour guide who gave us a great info about the clubs history which the grandkid loved, then into the trophy room has been my dream since i was a wee boy, saw all the famous trophies, the league title trophy, the league cup and the BIG one the European Cup ( a replica of course the real one changes hands every year) 11 boys from glasgow well 10 Bobby Lennox stayed a massive 30mile away, so a team THAT NO ONE IN WORLD FOOTBALL HAD EVEN HEARD OF CAME TO PLAY WHAT WAS "THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD" INTER MILAN HAD WON IT LAST 2 YEARS WITH A STYLE OF PLAY called " Catenaccio" score a goal before the opposing team then put 10 men behind the ball and stifle any attack with the most boring football ever. So day of the match i was 4 watched on tv with all the neighbours in the house with the biggest screen i lived in a tenament building so 6 families in one house and all the small boys and teens the place was packed and being a kid i knew this was big and when celtic scored to make it 2-1 my young brother about 15 month got threw up into the air lucky dad just caught him! then a BIG street party ( no religion that night) every one was happy that a scottish team had won the greatest trophy in world football.
