It's not so much about religion, but particularly about history and politics. Celtic was founded by Irish immigrants who came to Scotland during the Great Famine. When they came to success quickly, all the British loyalists and unionists started supporting Rangers. The rivalry between these two clubs is basically the Northern Irish War, but on the pitch and in the stands. It's Ireland versus the British Empire. This was illustrated quite well not too long ago when the Queen died.

Then him and his dad jumped me when I came out of a shop. I was fighting with them in the middle of Main Street about 7pm, I don’t mean to brag (aye I do😂) when I got on top of the dad he shouted, GET UR KNIFE OUT AND STAB HIM! That made me stop what I was doing. The next minute is actually a blur but I remember the 2 of them running away. The chicken💩 stabbed me in the lower back. That was the second time I had been stabbed by one of THEM. The first was a broken bottle at nearer the top of my back but was drunk then so don’t remember much about that.
