In terms of minutes on the pitch, Idah has played just under 9 full games and has averaged a goal every 86 minutes for Celtic. So his "numbers" are good. Oh's goals per minute is also pretty good BUT I think the big difference with Idah is that his goals have been massively important goals and he's also "Passed the eye test" with his performance vs Kilmarnock in particular. Oh hasn't really bossed SPFL defences the way Idah has at times. If the asking price is £6 million or thereabouts then I think we should get him signed up as I think he can improve quite a lot with us and in 2/3 years time he could be the next big money departure from Celtic

Firstly, fantastic pod! Best one out there. Onto the match and rangers setup exactly as a St Johnston, County, Livi would against us. Compact, def and let us have the ball. Stay in it as long as possible and hopefully snatch something. The fact that they are what, 8 months into Clements reign and they are still playing long ball nonsense is hilarious (but great for us) He is getting nowhere near the heat I would have expected considering he has a worse record than mole man beale. Ange was practically chased out the door by the media in the early part of this term but so many have "bought" into the baldy belgium waffle that they cant back doon....theyve had to "double" (pun well and truly intended) doon

I agree with the pitch - when watching it with the old man, I was saying to him the pitch is green sand because it looks like the players are trying to run but they are acting as if they are stuck in soft sand. Made for a bad watch and seem to impact our players more, mainly because we tried to play the way Rodgers instructs because in the end almost our entire 11 had one of their worst showings all season... but we still won which sums up this season perfectly. This was them trying their best and giving everything but they come up short... AGAIN! I am trying to curb my enthusiasm but I am really hoping the board really do let loose in the market so domestically when to comes to the next league run in, we are double digits clear.

Brilliant lads, best podcast I've listen too. The last few weeks have been amazing. A week before the Glarby at Celtic park I was at Windsor park to see our part-time cliftonville beat full-time Linfield in the Irish cup final. Then Celtic beat their blues brothers, at Celtic Park, seal the league title and then beat them in the cup. Belfast is partying too. What a time to be alive!!

Idah and Bernardo are absolutely no brainers .. Do have concerns that Idahs work may not have gone unnoticed. Will Norwich want big bucks now and will there be pl suitors. I think Bernardo will go on to be world renowned 8 . Not the finished article yet but think he will be top class in the next year or two . If we don’t sign him think he may be a John mcginn what could have been scenario

I really like Bernardo. He works his socks off & has some improving to do, of course, if we sign him. But an experienced midfielder is where I'd like to see us upgrade on. Pleasently surprised by Idah. He has played a few games for a poor Ireland team & his finishing looked very poor any time he got a chance. Great at holding up the ball & he seems to be filling out now physically. I'm a bit undecided about him as of now, though in CL games we need that type of striker He hasn't shown himself as a striker who'll dribble past defenders & smash the ball in the net, but like Bernardo, he can grow as a player.

@@kevinbarry1888 think you are spot on . Even if oreily stays I would still argue we need another 10 as it’s unreasonable to ask him to play 55 games a season also proper cover for injury etc . Also an experienced head almost like a. Moi figure would also be a great addition to help us to manage games out .

I said it before.. Joe Hart was given a gentle push out the door, around the Christmas time from our own fans when a sizeable proportion of them shat the bed when things weren’t going great for the team in the pitch.

In fairness we're irrational, hysterical, emotional, passionate fans. The extreme good that comes with Celtic support has to come with the bad. Or else we'd be Southampton eating prawn sandwiches at half time. We don't get paid to cope with this rationally The club pay themselves exuberant fees and yet even us plebs can see how inefficient the club is run. Which in turn works us into a shoot and the only way we can express it is on to the players good and bad

Love the podcast lads. Surprised you didn’t talk about the kyogo penalty more, for me that was the biggest ref mistake of the entire game and it was barely mentioned by commentators or media. Kyogo has both legs taken away from him, from behind, from a lunging defender who doesn’t touch the ball whatsoever. It’s an absolute stone wall penalty, more so than the hand ball. I thought I was missing something it was such a clear penalty and nothing was mentioned. I can’t understand how that didn’t go to VAR, and if it did how was the ref not told to look. I’d love to know the conversation in the background around this one ‘ok, we can see the rangers defender doesn’t touch the ball at all, he comes in from behind and kicks both of the attackers legs away from him making the attacker fall .. so play on and ignore brother’

Only time I’ve ever been on the screen : I got hooped staring directly into the camera in the temp stand at half time with ma wee curtains and ma nevica jacket on 😂😂 I won a free kit at Robert stores. Instead of buying a Celtic kit (as I had them all) I bought the PSG kit for my wee brother for his Christmas present. Good times 😂💚🏆🏆☘️

Last Season was special under Ange but this season feels even more special. To see Rodgers come back, go unbeaten against sevco and prove all the haters wrong and win the double. Hopefully the board back Rodgers With A New Centre Back Left Back Idah and Bernardo on Permanents and we can finally bury sevco and Voldamoor once and for all next season.

He cleared the ball straight up in the air in the box under no pressure and it led to a Rangers chance that CCV had to somehow divert out for a corner.

@20MinuteTims Thats it? One header into the air. Rangers didn't create a chance of note. Scales basically is getting the same crap that Starfelt got last season. It also is in stark contrast to the Ccv worship that goes on. Seemingly he can do no wrong. He came on against Lazio and a howler led to us losing the game. He was also owned by Miovski in the cup game.

If you're about to compare CCV making one mistake in his 3 seasons here to what Scales does every week then you're not a serious person.

My point is this criticism is ott. We saw it with Starfelt last season. Celtic were poor in that cup final and in particular the second half yet the only one who gets flak is Scales.
