Taylor is going to show you how to use the free online program Celtx for writing your own scripts. You have a great story to tell. Have some fun writing while you are at home.
I was just recommended this software to start getting used to a more professional scriptwriting format before sinking the money into something like Final Draft one day. I couldn't even figure out how to start typing up a page after the title! This helped a lot. Thank you!
A super tutorial. It's really great to work with CeltX. I have only one problem. I hope you can give me a tip. In the middle of a scene, it often jumps to a new page. Then there is this line and I can no longer move it. This creates many half-full pages that I can no longer fill.
Can I write a shot type (dolly) thereafter write the area where that shot is facing under 'text' option? And do I still put my character name in all upper case for the second time they appear?
Only one thing though. I want to say that the camera points at a specific object in the scene but that isn't really a specific action so I don't know whether I should set that as "text" or action?
@@spoonspoon3826 well if you in your script instruct the director to do something or tell them to place the camera this way, they'll most probably put your script in the trash. Directors don't like following your instructions. It's the directors movie not the screenwriters.
Hi! thank u for the video it was really helpfull. If I have 3 continuous scenes at the same place, but day afer day, do i have to put "INT - BEDROOM - DAY" then "INT - BEDROOM - NEXT DAY"?
