As teens. We hung out in the cemetery at night. Listened to music and smoke cigs. We never vandalized anything tho. Never had the desire and honestly cannot figure out why anyone would do so. Very cruel. Love your vids Lamont!
As teens, my friend and I would go walk our local cemetery and cry when we found graves of babies/children. Odd pastime, but that's what we did from time to time.
I lived near a grave yard, we played & hung out but didn't disrespect or destroy anything. One grave had a bench for sitting. So peaceful & calm. Let the dead rest in peace.
Being in the business as a funeral director/embalmer, I deal with cemeteries all the time. I would hope that those deceased are not in there because I can't imagine after 3 years they haven't put the names on there. Upkeep can be costly but no excuse for that. Thank you for all you do, Lamont!!❤❤. Peace out✌️
@@rogerstlaurent8704 , you dont even know what a green burial is . Waste of money is supporting a reg burial . Green burial is a few thousand $$$ cheaper than reg burial
@@juliewessels4045 So it just takes a few thousand years to eradicate respect and dignity? This is why people like Genghis Kahn and Cochise were buried in secret.
@@shawnstephens1251 But Archeologists are a WHOLE different case sir. Here it’s about criminal/vandals messing with the deceased. With all due respect, how could you even compare a case of legitimate and legal exhumation from archeologists to criminals vandalizing graves?
@@dianarendon5845 It's legitimate because somebody said so? I think if it were me, I would prefer my grave unmolested. Apparently, it's okay to disturb a grave and remove its contents as long as your intentions are good.
Creamation for me.Beautiful place.Big Bopper was exhumed to check for any bullet wounds. He was said to be in really good shape. His son finally got to see his father in person . Batesville casket company took the casket to study it and donated a new one for reburial
Lately after my mom passed away I've been depressed, but watching Lamont's channel has certainly helped me get through hard times.god bless you Lamont and stay safe brother!
it's a shame dead people can't see any peace! when I was a kid I went to cemetery's and just looked at the headstones not desecrate them . great video telling about this disturbing thing that happened! take care Lamont!
I cannot wrap my head around the depravity of disturbing someone's resting place. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is shameful and disgusting. Lamont- thank you for sharing this. Appreciate what you do.
This is horrible when a person can’t Rest In Peace with out being attacked by criminals. That person or persons involved are the lowest of the low life. Stay safe in your travels Lamont ✌️
There is a mausoleum here in cullman Alabama that has been abandoned by the owners and the building was not vented and some coffins have exploded. My neighbor owns heritage funeral home here in cullman and she has removed and buried several coffins from there.
@@2009jadeorchid Perhaps the chemicals from the type of embalming fluids used along with & the Methane gas from the body’s own fluids & decomposing tissue, can cause these types of explosions .
I hope those people who vandalised those 2 coffins in the mausoleum are cursed for the rest of there life’s, it’s so evil and disrespectful, it’s costs so much to bury or cremate your loved ones. I hope they put the name tags back on. RIP to all those who suffered. Very clean cemetery. Thanks Lamont. Xxx
What is wrong with people. I was raised to respect those who have passed away. Good video to shed light on this. Love your videos. Always done with respect.
This is a rare happening. Burning yoir loved ones remains isnt a good idea. My uncle owned a funeral home for decades and has been in the business for as long. He said you are getting the ashes of hundreds of people, not just your loved one. The oven is not sanitized and pressure washed after every cremation. Just saying.
I love your videos! Not just the pics of the headstones but also the stories of how they lived and died! For those of us who will never see these, it is informative AND much appreciated! Thank you!🦋💜
I remember Babe Zaharias from a TV movie back in the 1970s - she was played by husband & wife team, Susan Clark & Alex Karras. She died young of cancer and in the end of her life she came out as one of the first people to talk about cancer publicly. She was an amazing athlete - excelling in every sport.
My thoughts exactly. To take that much effort to vandalize a casket means it probably was targeted for what was inside it. Sad, but people will do anything when desperate.
Brother Lamont.....I appreciate you checking back to see if the cemetery staff had restored the damage that was done. I also appreciate you giving glory to God for your life. You're a good guy Lamont thank you for your invaluable service to our great nation.
Another respectful look by our man Lamont. Thank you, Lamont, for giving us a glimpse into the lives and deaths of a few of the forgotten.........Peace Out ! !
Coffin failure is always nasty. I've seen other crypts where the fluids had dripped down the wall. Also the smell from that is enough to make you vomit. I wish they had caught the person or people that did that. Such disrespect. I hope that person can rest in peace now. Thanks Lamont. Good video. It's a nice cemetery.
It breaks my heart to see any Cemetery or Mausoleum that has been vandalized by people who are heartless and they should be brought to justice. My prayers go out to everyone that's buried at the cemetery or mausoleum and to the families.💐💐 RIP J.P. “Big Bopper” Richardson (Jiles Perry Richardson, Jr.) (24 Oct 1930- 3 Feb 1959) (aged 28) you will truly be missed and my prayers go out to you and your family. 💐💐
I really enjoyed this one. Its so sad when they have died so young never to have lived a full life. The scum that destroys a person grave will get theirs Karma it always comes around. Thank you Lamont you stay safe always ❤️
wow we had cemetery vandalism here in Central Illinois where a small group of individuals were stealing decorations including floral wreaths, brass/bronze vases, etc.
The cemetery my grandparents are buried at has a code that has to be entered on a keypad to get into the mausoleum. Only the families of those who are interred there are allowed to know the code.
We in Australia 🇦🇺 have had vandalism of head stones but not sure if a grave or an internment has ever been desicrated....it is disgusting how anyone could do this I do hope the person or persons are caught
I hope you get to and pass 500k sub's before the year ends! You deserve to be at a million by now! You are one of my favorite channels along with Fascinating Graveyards!
for the most part, but it still has it's issues. Many older graves are almost impossible to find, they get neglected and end up getting covered up. We have had 2 bad floods in the last 10 yrs and nearly all of the cemetery was under standing water for days, the lower lying areas have never been properly restored. It really does need some maintenance work. But I give credit to the lawn crew, they work hard and do a pretty good job.
Thank you for bringing this crime to light, if the vandals bragged to friends about what they did, I hope they see this and turn them in! There is no excuse for such disrespect
My girlfriend's grandparents bought their crypt over 30 years ago at $7,500 each. Today's price would be 4 times that..Their names will be added when the time comes..It takes a really sick person to destroy someone's final resting place.
I can't understand what goes through those sickos minds...vandalising people's resting place...shame on you whoever you are. Thank you Lamont for sharing 🙂👍💖 ps wouldn't Babe have been 55 the year she died?
Thank you for covering this. It just astounds me what people can do. Regarding Baton Rouge, I've seen some vids on how absolutely appalling the conditions at Sweet Olive Cemetery are. I actually was in tears watching. Have you ever been there? If you ever go, tell them how sorry I am that they are so disrespected. 😢
Why on earth would anyone want to be "buried" above ground, in a mausoleum?? Look at all those disgusting fluids draining out of every "grave"! Unless a body is burned, or put back in the earth, it's not truly "buried" in my mind's eye.
Waylon Jennings was supposed to be on the airplane that killed JP Richardson. But JP was sick and Waylon gave up his seat for him. As sad as it is that we lost 3 great early rock stars in that crash, I'm glad Waylon Jennings got to live. He created some awesome music in his career. His song, "Are you sure Hank done it this way" was #1 on the country charts on the day I was born. Great video, as always.
… beautiful Mausoleum with the flagstone wall…Thanks for the visit to see the Big Bopper, and Babe Zaharias was a total surprise ! …tragic stories in those other headstones..
You'd have thought the CCTV would have caught whoever done that UNLESS it WASN'T installed until after they broke into them 🤔🤔🧐🧐!! Which what seems to happen over here in the 🇬🇧 when places get broken into or vandalised.
there were no cameras anywhere in the cemetery. Until a double break in at the newer mausoleum near the front entrance in Oct of 2015 (I think), Urns were stolen and oddly later recovered from a mentally challenged young man who said voices told him to take them and care for them. Cameras were installed in that mausoleum afterward. My sons and uncle are there. My uncle is one of the ones who got to do a lil after death traveling. We were very lucky to have him returned. Crack heads often steal urns to sell off for scrap metal to buy more drugs. How sick is that? Cant be good for one's karma I would imagine.
@ One MercilessMing It reminds me of the original or first episode of the old Dark Shadows series. A lowlife character named Willy breaks into the mausoleum/grave of the Collins Family which is somewhere on the Collins Family estate. He does this to steal the jewelry of Barnabas Collins which is still supposed to be on the body. However in his criminal quest he unleashes the Vampire Barnabas Collins and gives him new life and so starts the beginning of Dark Shadows.
@Juan Cervantes Is that how it started? I never saw the beginning. My mother didn't allow TV during the daytime. I was a teenager who had a summertime babysitting job. I watched it then. But I REALLY loved the movie.
It’s so crazy how unsecure those cripts are, my grandparents are in the same one and I seen how they do it, it would take probably two minutes to open one up I wish they were more secure.
Hello Lamont, my adopted parents grave in NH was vandalized. My birth family helped me pay for footstones due to my adopted father was a veteran. Love your channel. Jean Crosby Nashville TN
Watching from the uk 🇬🇧 some people just don’t have respect…I have a friend and her grandma grave was constantly being robbed rosary beads ECT…so now my friend only leaves flowers 🌺 people should be allowed to leave whatever they like to leave on their loved ones resting places…
I remember that video you did, where you talked about how you learned your lesson about not spitting on graves. That you had spat on the grave of an executed criminal and he followed you back and haunted you. I can't help but to wonder if, God willing, a little justice didn't follow that person(s) who desecrated those graves and coffins? That may not have been pretty.
