@deltazero3796 That's one thing I can always expect out of CEN. When I had the issue with the shocks on XT, they stepped up and released a kit to fix the shocks. Wish more companies would support their products better.
Overall, this cat looks fantastic. I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting to see head-to-head comparisons of this against the HPI WR8. However, regarding that "rear bumper", I'm not certain that's going to 'fix' the problem. While watching the video, I zoomed in to that specific area, and I paid particular attention when you were pressing in on the body. For the greatest part, you were "pressing in" closer towards the center, where the bumper is, which would (obviously) prevent the body from bending inward. The reason I mention that is because, the first time you pressed the body in, you did it from the outer edge, closer to the tire, and I could EASILY see it bend right into the tire. Watching it (still zoomed in) a second time, if almost looks like you noticed the body bending into the tire, and then quickly moved to pressing in the body closet to the center, so as to not cause the body to bend into the tire. I'm not saying your were trying to cover up the body bending into the tire by quickly changing the position of where your were pressing in...but, it does seem to be a good possibility.
@ninthislandrc Will the bumper fix the corners bending back into to the tires, probably not. But I don't feel that was the reason for the redesign. I've put one pack in so far and no issues to report back. I really think the corners the influencers were calling out was more on a body alignment than the overall issue of the entire rear bending back and/or the corners getting destroyed. It would have been better if the influencers that received the updated design, installed and ran the car and reported back since they were sent these RC's as part of R&D.

Hey great overview. Did you find the bellcrank is a weak point? Mine broke with one small hit. The linkage was fine, just broke at the thinnest spot where it joined to the actual tie rod. Cheers
I’ve got the CEN Puma bodyshell with plan to fit it onto one of my WR8’s - would you mind measuring the width/track to outside of the wheels for me? While the shell isn’t much wider than the WR8 the arches seem to overhang more Thanks 🙂
Sadly this thing is a piece of fragile trash and Cen Racing customer support is worthless. I received mine two weeks ago and after 10 minutes of initial driving in an asphalt parking lot, the left side rear axle snapped at the hex pinhole. This happened while accelerating in a straight line on a smooth surface. I contacted Cen Racing CS and after exchanging a few emails they have since ghosted me. Some helpful folks alerted me to replacement axles being in stock at HRP so I placed an order; most spare parts for this car are out of stock on the Cen Racing website, including the axles. I had hope that Cen Racing would send me replacement axles free of charge but as I said they have ghosted me. The axles arrived and I replaced the one broken piece. I then took the car out to a baseball diamond (loose, smooth dirt) and, I kid you not, within 10 minutes of driving the steering post snapped like a dried twig. So I've had the car for two weeks, I've driven it for a total of 20 easy minutes, and have experienced a broken axle and steering post. What fun. I am still on my original battery charge btw :)
@Sleek_Paprika69 That sounds horrible. Got to say I've never had that experience and any issues I've had with my prior CEN Racing truck (Colossus XT shocks) I worked with HRP to get the fix. I took this out on 2S no issues. Sometimes you get a Thursday or even a Friday model, it's happen to me. Hopefully where you bought it from can be the middle guy to get this right.
@ReadySetRC Yeah it hasn't been a fun experience. I bought it from IslandHobbyNut and they have also ignored my email requesting assistance. I should have just bought the WR8 Flux. Oh well. Live and learn.
@@ReadySetRCYeah just online. Also one thing I forgot to mention about the Cen Puma is that before my axle just randomly snapped the little bolt holding the pinion backed out and I lost all drive. I was able to find it in the crank case and reinstall. Just poor quality and assembly all around.
Every video I watch the rear end gets folded up into the rear wheels, and multiple videos show body cracks or outright piece missing after 1 test run. To me, seems the body is madeof super brittle plastic more intended to sit on a shelf, than actually have a battery installed to use it.. very very cheap quality... and yes, their CS is brutal, 1 word answers,. no hello/bye thanks for purchase, just quick 1 line reply, didnt even address the problem, complete joke!
