What’s it like teaching students who are incarcerated? A team of Centennial College instructors found out when they took part in the Corrections Literacy Initiative (CLI), a joint project with the government of Ontario to teach literacy and life skills to inmates. In this video, our instructors talk about how teaching at the East Toronto Detention Centre works, and how it’s given them an opportunity to be innovative.
