REAR CONTROL ARM IS THE STEP WE'RE WORKING ON TODAY. ITS A MUST HAVE FIX I DO TO CENTER THE REAR WHEEL. I CALLED UP MY FRIEND JB TO GET IT DONE. STEP BY STEP TIL WE REACH THE FINSIH LINE.

If you bolt up bigger wheels then it will push the rear end forward again. That’s why you needed extended adjustable arms for the upper and lower rear control arms. And there is a u-bolt kit for the rear shocks that way you just have to spin the nut to install/remove rear shocks instead of trying to use those tiny original bolts in that tiny area of the frame. The u-bolt points downwards and stays there permanently.

Our family first impala was a 65 sky blue on sky blue interior on 13s no switches. Dad lost it in a crash in 2005

Ha ha great minds think alike, cleaned sway bar and primed it yesterday, getting paint today. I got a 94 fleetwood. Thinking about getting a 93 roadmaster my boy has for $3500, 80k miles. Has 5.7 but not lt1 in that one.

She coming along nice bruh 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 that ish always irritated me how the rear axle wasn't centered on the bubbles. You'll like those KYBs, I ran them on a P71 and they ride firm without being harsh like Bilsteins.

Just got the same set but with the Bilsteins. Got lowers in easy, upper is a pain. Haven't gotten the upper bolt out yet. Soaking in pb blaster now lol

center the rear wheel brings back between 3/4" to 1 " depending on which brand control arms you use,, then you have to get longer drive shaft, or have some companies like DENNY (NEW YORK)or INLAND EMPIRE(CALIFORNIA) or the tooth on trans mission side can not engage properly and you will round off the teeth, or in worse case pop out and cause the car flip over! at least install drive shaft loop ,so if it pop out, it wot won't hit the ground and cause the car flip violently

@@UncleMichaelable technically no, because of law of physic pressure= force/area force is engine power so it won't change area is getting smaller because you are pulling the drive shaft out 3/4 or an inch therefore you are adding more pressure on what ever amount of shaft left inside the transmission and and about that much more on tail shaft teeth of tranny, because there are less are engaged so you add more pressure on both of them, and the one with softer material will be destroyed

I am doing this right now to my caprice. Just so I heard this right in your video you purchased both the "extended" (3/4") lower and upper control arms or BMR standard (stock length) uppers & lower control arms? Did you have vibration after the install?

I will never understand why Chevrolet built the Impala this way. You should not have to replace your control arms. Your wheel should already be centered.
