Hiking Hot Creek Geological Site: Sierra Nevada Mountains (Inyo National Forest). Mammoth Lakes, CA.
The site is located east of Highway 395. It is accessed via Hot Creek Hatchery Road, which is mostly dirt. Beyond the Hot Creek Geological Site, the road gets even bumpier. For those who soak in the hot water downstream, it is an even longer and bumpier ride.
