@Mz C Blackpool is a great town. In my line of work, I rub along with every level of social status in our society from the humble person forced to live in a shop doorway to, IV drug users and millionaires. I definitely keep some interesting company.

Yeah we used to get kebabs from a takeaway there almost across from the George. I forget it's name, but we were there often.

Yeah I walk down there all the time at night & never feel unsafe. I used to knock around Ibbison Court back in the olden days, behind The George Hotel, which has now disappeared.

You are dead right. I was confronted as I was finishing the video near the junction at the end, so I had to cut that bit & dub over the outro in editing.

It's actually not too bad. I'd be a bit more wary in the inner cities than here.

Blackpool being dangerous is a myth. Parts of Manchester & Liverpool are infinitely more dangerous.

@Mz C I’ve actually been to some pretty scary hoods in USA. Philadelphia, Camden, , West Chicago & Skid Row LA. That was long before I started doing this.

Love the videos as grew up loving blackpool and worked on social projects for a few years. Your cities have gangs but Blackpool is just home to a lot of transient from prison or have just failed where they were from. I’d say on the front it isn’t more than 5% of people from Blackpool. Mental health wise there’s no where on earth quite like it. You’ll never likely get shot at but anyone can have a knife and the murder rate seemed as high as any inner city. I’d do visits to places I stayed in which were crack dens. It’s gutting to see. There’s a lot of beautiful things in Blackpool. I dunno how the b&bs are still surviving. Some of them struggled with having basic milk and bread in for customers. They don’t convert into flats, they’re far too small. At some point they’re going to have to take massive amounts of streets down. It’ll be sad to see and it will lose its character but it’s no worse than seeing it as a human dump for other towns and cities to get rid of their ‘problem’ people.

The Dunes is still going, or at least it was before we had this latest lockdown. If you look up my first Lytham Road video from a while back it can be seen on there.

I didn't ask to find out lol. Surprisingly, one of them was very attractive and didn't look like a drug user or anything. She smiled at me and asked how I was doing. That was enough to give it away what she was.

I certainly do intend to do a video from Middle Walk after dark. Kinda waiting for my girlfriend to join me I don’t want to go down there on my own lol.

@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool I used to live at the lynton apartments on the seafront, just next to lytham road, i absolutely hated walking down it at night, someone got stabbed at a cash machine there for absolutely no reason once 😬 Great videos btw, I’ve been watching for a while now.. keep up the good work! 👍

Yes I was on a bike, just in case I needed a quick getaway lol.

Blackpool does have a high death rate from drugs, possibly the highest in the country. I think other local authorities have been sending problem families & individuals here because of our high number of cheap properties. We also have a few hostels & halfway houses in the town.

It mostly comes from the outside. The guy that owns The Sands is putting a lot into Blackpool with the new venue.

There is one in town, just opposite where the Wilko store is they are demolishing. It has a side door where junkies go to get their methadone fix.

When we used to hang out in this area back in the day we kinda looked up to older people who were drug users because they were exciting & always getting into trouble with the police. It would have been easy to follow their path, but I glad I didn’t. I know a few from my school who are no longer with us because of drugs.

@@charliebowman2891 I was a season ticket holder from 2009-2014. Watched them rise up the Championship to the Premier League. Most memorable match I’ve been to was Forest away in the play off 2nd leg. I don’t think anything will top that one.
