As a native of Assam, I personally oppose the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). It poses a threat to the indigenous people and culture. While we welcome our Hindu people from other countries and sympathize with them, we cannot continue to share our resources. In Tripura, the native people have become a minority, and we cannot allow the same fate for Assam. Already burdened with millions of illegal Bangladeshis, Assam adheres to the Assam Accord, and we urge the Indian government to treat Assam similarly to the other Northeastern states.

CAA won't directly give citizenship to a person. People getting citizenship today were already living in india and if they were unemployed then their status won't change. They will get benefits from govt schemes. They will also work thereby increasing the country's GDP. People migrating after today will get citizenship after 5 yrs.

Im a hindu bengali from Tripura, bring CAA as fast Government can ,our state is somehow increasing muslims alot faster. 10 years ago there was rarely any muslims but with time it feels like they are increasing 4x time. Our native population is suffering more :)
