I really enjoyed this early show. You appreciate more when things start to happen and where people go for early beers on Buckaow. LK is virtually unrecognisable without the bikes which all appear with the girls.

Some people just love to complain in the comments. All I can say is, I haven't been to Pattaya, it's such a dream of mine that I watch your channel at least twice a week to keep this goal in the forefront of my mind. The exchange rate and details on how to handle things like that along with other newbie tips is critical to me. I will probably bring one of my good friends when I finally make it out there and I'll be the newbie blind leading the newbie blind. Anyway current price for a flight from Dallas Texas is $1,007 + taxes and fees per person. I'm still trying to afford my passport and when I calculated all my expenses there it would at least be another $2,000-$3,000 for a week. If I take my wife (don't worry, we aren't a monogamous couple and while that might offend some at least you know we discussed every aspect of this ahead of time.) it's going to easily be $5,000+ and over $2,000 on flights. Pair that with American inflation, to put it in perspective, I'm not a poorly paid guy but the cost of living has caught up with me just about every year of my adult life. No matter how many raises I get, no matter how high I get paid. You don't need to hear all this, just trying to offer a middle class American perspective for why we aren't just up and flying out. As for your laughing when talking to people, I do that too and it's a pretty cool social trait in my opinion. A lot of people take that as a friendly thing, like you're having a little bit of a laugh with them.
Some of the viewers will remember 1997. In 1997, Thailand massively devalued its currency to get the economy going again. And it helped back then. In November 1997, Pattaya was full of tourists. Suddenly it was good value for money again. We are now back at a point where the devaluation of the Thai baht is necessary to get tourists back in large numbers.
If only, they know it is a problem, with less exports and dropping tourist numbers. They were looking to drop interest rates, but given they are already at a low level it would have minimum impact 🙏🙏

I've just paid £830 for Newcastle (NCL) return for the 11th November, so not too shabby , could have got it down an easy couple of hundred to the low 600's if I wanted to mess about in Heathrow first , some would think its worth the hassle but not for me. So jealous of the fellow Geordie on his first trip. Every trip to pattaya is amazing, but that first time you go and have your eyes opened is the best 😁
@terryl5611 I weighed up the 3 hr drive from Runcorn to London to fly direct.... or do a Manchester Amsterdam bangkok flight with with Klm .... Manchester flight won.... and not much of a difference in price tbh.
@@scotsman510 yeah, to some people the savings are everything, you'll see them on your first trip when you get there, guys who will pick a bar coz the beer is 2 baht cheaper etc, I've got a mate who goes to Cambodia and he will get a coach from Newcastle to Manchester to fly to Phnom phen, then spend 36 hours flying and on layovers just coz it saves him £60, my time with boots on the ground in Pattaya is worth more than saving £30 each way. Enjoy your first trip, it'll be amazing, just one word of advice, apart from all the obvious, leave enough money in your bank to book your next flight when you get back home.... It will take away the Pattaya blues. You will be back again 😂

Another great video, like the mix up of locations. Been throughout Thailand for over 30 years, so good to see the changes around town. As per negative comments, l guess some viewers don't know the real Pattaya or Thailand. Keep up the good videos and hopefully will catch ya next year, when l look to retire in the land of smiles. This is my favourite time if day in Pattaya. Sun just setting and the night about to begin. Sorry I never made it down to see you when I was there. As you know, as soon as you hit Pattaya, your best laid plans all go out the window lol. Should be back February/March and for a bit longer so will definitely get a catch up with a few games of pool and a beer.

David I married a bar girl 16 years ago and have 3 kids in England I also have a bar girl girlfriend… if you know the score and if you know what you’re doing (only with experience and a few hard knocks), knowing the tricks and are wiser then it’s fine. As long as you accept the percentage game and risk and hunt out the “right ones” then bar girls can be like any other girl - you’ve just gotta know what you’re doing and what you’re looking for…

Any news on 'Triangle Steve's Mrs'? I didn't see the original comment, but would agree that Pattaya certainly isn't the place to go to looking for a serious relationship. That's not saying they don't happen but it's extremely low chance for them to be successful. If you want to do it a bit different sometimes, you could enter/exit at the Candy Club end of Tree Town occasionally. Another great vid.
"I expect it to be quiet" well, i usually stay in Buakhao so I really can compare 1:1 to my experience. I would say that there was half of the people on the street as compared to 2-3 weeks ago when i was there and video gave me pandemic vibes. All the news about flooding and clean up, the exchange rates and naturally the world situation, will probably affect negatively the tourism and i am not so optimistic as you (and the other people in the video are). Just for fun, i checked what would a ticket to Thailand cost me from 21.12.2024 - 5.1.2025 ( the typical holiday dates here with the max time in Thailand) and it would cost me 3500$ economy. Getting on the plane on the 24.12 would make it a bit better but still 2300$ and this prices is more or less all the time from now up to february apart on weekends. Compare it to when i was there last month, it was 990$ (booked only 1 month before the flight) and because of miles, I payed 770$ (all the prices 2 way and direct flights). Doesn't sound cheap to me and probably not cheap for many people. Sure, i know most people prefer having a stop in between and those flights tend to be cheaper but still, i don't know how many people will go to thailand at that time. For my side, i am pretty sure, i will not be there on Christmas / New Year.
Is there something different with the sound ? It doesn’t seem to pick up as well as normal with the music from bars etc. might just be me but when I watch older videos it’s completely different sound. Most of the bar girls don’t even show up until 8 pm! Starting out at 9 pm is the best for us. Out first time in Pattaya we stayed at the famous “Penthouse Hotel”; complete with a jacuzzi, a dance pole , a sex swing and a TV with porn channel! It was a great introduction to Pattaya nightlife 👍😎😈
Less filming going on compared to a year ago. Many bars won’t allow filming and the girls turn away from the camera. All of this killed the free advertising they were getting from RU-vid. Now less people coming. Cause and effect. If they had a dating district where you could find a datable woman, not just a freelancer, maybe this would help.
I think there are still many filming and in general most are happy to be on camera. I think maybe a drop off as YT changed what could be monetised so many will not do for nothing 🙏🙏

After 19 years in lk metro Alex at the Rock House is selling up due to I'll health so the lk metro apartments will be the longest running bar with Irish man Dennis mine host .my local bar for this length of time
It’s his video which he gives for free in his own time so he has a right to comment (not complain) on whatever he wants. It’s the negative people whining about all sorts who can never think of anything positive to say who need to wind their neck in and just enjoy what you are given, once again, for free.
Transport & Environment UK are lobbying for Duty on jet fuel,just like for petrol and diesel,to raise £6B a year....and they want to keep increasing it annually until 2030😮...now that will be a disaster
