Clicks on video: “how bad could this be possibly be?” *Microsoft Sam starts narration* “Hoo boy, it’s even more fantastically terrible than I could have dreamed”
Oh no.........not two minutes in and Microsoft Sam voice has me face down on my desk giggling. This is horribly delightful. I might have given it a more positive review if the toilets flushed 😂😂😂
Why is Samara in this Silent Hill rip off? Why is fake Pyramid Head floating across the ground? Why is male Siri the voice actor? Why are you able to Spartan kick for no reason? In short, I adore everything about this game.
Game name based off of city that Silent Hill movie was based off of, with dude looking for his daughter similar to Silent Hill 1.... I.... why's it gotta be like this
And it'll keep going for another 250 or so. They just stopped postal service. One of the few residential uses of flying buttresses. Shove that up your Gothic architecture.
It's been a while since you've played something truly awful but holy cow that intro voiceover promises a trainwreck. Thanks for helping along my Wednesday 😂😂
One of the things about indie games these days is it's very easy to make a game that LOOKS good. So they can pull you in with the graphics, (since even stock unity assets are super good quality) but as soon as you start playing you can see what's really going on.
My two favourite parts of the game: 1. The monster’s orange neon teeth; 2. The notes and the way the writing just kept on going over the edges of the pages. Cool!👍👍👍
I wanted to see the body bouncing around down in the morgue while being spiritually attached to you. I bet it was beautiful. The sound when you switch batteries makes me think of a vending machine O.o
Sadly, the town of Centralia will be gone soon. Someone really could make a good game about the town, honoring the people who died in the accident and the history. But no, we got this shit.
What accident would that be? No one died in an accident in Centralia. It was just a series of stupid decisions that lead to an uncontrollable coal mine fire. The real thing is nothing like silent hill. I wish people would do their research before spouting off nonsense and rumors.
@@zenhaelcero8481 Just so you know It's Centralia, PA (underground mine fire still burning to this day) that is being referenced in both silent hill and this game. So you proved absolutely nothing expect that you can type things into a search engine, and my original comment still stands.
When that opening voiceover started, it became obvious that this game would be a trainwreck of a gold mine. Hahaha, this game definitely gave me a good laugh.
I want to use the erudite Italian expression "schifezza" to describe this conglomeration of atrocities.Although I appreciated the machine gun disguised as a torch. Very useful in combat, especially if your skill is that that the character shows in this game.
I can't believe they released another game besmirching Centralia like this... Their first "Centralia" game 1406 was an abomination and used the town's name as marketing. Having been to Centralia multiple times I'm positive they've never been there or even bothered to look at it on Google Earth. There are 2 houses in the town, a firehouse, and a church which is actually on the city limits. The actual town is mostly barren except for a large grouping of trees and cracked asphalt and piles of dirt with vent holes where I was able to stick my hand in and feel the warmth, even on a rainy day. Graffiti Highway is another portion of the town, I showcased pictures of how it looks in my video on 1406, and talked about how I proposed to my wife there and how I found the ghost town so peaceful, like watching nature taking back the surrounding area. PS: It's pretty regarded that it was the city burning trash that caused the fire to spread to the nearby coal mine, and in 1992 was already well past evacuation (it started in 1984) and would have been owned by the government at that point as buildings were caving in.
I live in Pennsylvania about 3 hours southwest of Centralia and have always wanted to see it. Is there any special protective gear I need for a visit to Centralia?
@@TypeZeta2 Hiking Boots for the hills and long pants for the overbrush should be all you need. It's not like Chernobyl or anything overly dangerous. There's a city nearby called Frackville we would grab a motel room at, and a restaurant called Dutch Kitchen Inn that I liked a lot.
Me: /sees name Alessa; is suspicious/ Also, Shirley seems way too close to Sheryl. I love how you enjoyed this though! And while so many things are hilarious, it's not at all terrible-looking.
Oh boy, it's episodic! If the title hadn't told me it was bad, that would have been an immediate giveaway. Also holy shit the text to speech started while I was typing that and I'm absolutely losing it. 😂
LMFAO... we might be seeing another Digital Homicide here, not surprising this "Developer Team" released this game and 3 other games in less a month apart from each other.
I have had an absolutely shit day, so you are an absolute lifesaver mate. It always makes me feel better to see garbage worse than what I have to deal with, and especially to see someone else suffer through it. Thanks from across the globe. 🍁
"That's the name of the indi games studio - Indi Games Studio" - omg I died... Now I know how to name absolutely everything I create. Maybe I'll even change my name to the "Girl", why not, right? Only started to watch, but it's already hilarious. This howling in the forest sounded so unnatural for some reason, and your reaction to the machine gun was just brilliant))) The dead body, following after you, was actually the scariest part of the game in my opinion. And just look how fast your heart is beating while you're solving the puzzle! The character's trying really hard it seems... Oh I laughed so much during this video. And your commentary was awesome as always, CJU!
I got this game on Xbox under the name “The One We Found” but some aspects of it aren’t the same. There’s that intro with the Microsoft sam voice and in my version there isn’t and I think there is voice acting. The door to the stair case in the building wasn’t open and in the morgue there was a monster to deal with and a gun I think (and there are a few guns) I believe there were 11 or so acts. It was also a bit buggy but it wasn’t as bad as this version. There were also lots of notes. And dream sequences and a few different enemies. Some of the bugs in the game were the guns you swapped out would overlap and that the guns you could find locked behind chainlink fences were obtainable by climbing over where it seems you really shouldn’t be able to and it’s hard to get out of when you get in but not impossible. And there is lots of copy and paste enemies in certain areas that are just odd things to see copies of (same clothing and face and stuff). However I hope you give the version I had a try if it’s possible because it was better than this and it’s not so much like silent hill in this version. Absolutely love your channel man you make my nights more entertaining and I hope to watch you for years to come!
This asylum/hospital map has been used in so many bad horror games , so much so that when I see it I automatically assume it's going to be a bad game. Shame too, because the forest looked well done, too bad they didn't stick with that
"Greedy [developers] dripped so deep that...they dug up something terrible and bad." True dat, description. LOL. Thanks for slogging through the drippings, Chris, to give us a giggle. ツ
So... The main character Henry Nelson, not so be confused with Harry Mason, is going to a long abandoned town where lots of crazy stuff happens so he can find his run away daughter Shirley, not to be confused with Cheryl. Then to top it all off there is a note about a woman named Alessa Nelson, not to be confused with Alessa Gillespie, who was in a comma at the hospital. Then the darkness comes and the walls start to peel away like rotting flesh... So, a terrible Silent Hill rip off for sure. Totally worth the laugh though.
il be honest, i thought i was gonna be more laughing than scared because that voice just makes me think of the emperor from the TTS series, and its kinda hilarious.
LMFAO! When that narrative kicked in, I already knew that this will be a terrible treat of the amusing kind. XD And you know what's even funnier? The devs themselves, for thinking that they've created a masterpiece of a game.
Text to speech narration. Torch labelled as "machine gun" in inventory. Discrepancies between subtitles and spoken words. Chris: "Well, this looks alright (graphically)." Me: "Okay, which asset pack did they get this spooky forest from?"
33 seconds in and he's already laughing for the wrong reasons. This is gonna be fun. XD I can't tell if this game wants to be a love letter to Silent Hill or a parody.
Terrible indeed but at least I get a lot of laughs out of it.. They didn't even try to hide the "inspiration" for the game.. Sometimes I wonder if it was meant to be this bad like a parody or a troll-game or if this really is someone's idea of a well done game that they are really proud of. In that case it is just sad..
I wondered why the text-to-speech was even there when they had this crying voice in the background that sounded so life like. No, it was CJU trying his damnedest not to die laughing over the beginning story lines. Lol
As someone who suffers from low blood pressure and occasional irregular heartbeat, that sprite at the bottom right screen is giving me anxiety. I love how you barely even commented about how that guy who randomly appeared toward the end of the game had glowing teeth. I don't think I've seen any antagonists with glowing teeth since Attack the Block.
Only a minute in and can very safely say someone saw the Silent Hill run, read the name 'Centralia' and decided to use the name. In actuality, Centralia is an interesting place and the history about the still burning fires are well worth looking into. Some people still actually live there, even though its no longer recognized as a town. Something about the legal red tape surrounding it couldn't force people who didn't want to relocate to move. The graphics are actually fairly decent so far. Makes me wonder why someone would put effort into that and then crap on it with everything else. "I'm not far away, you need to go only three miles.." (..turn right in 1.5 miles....) Sounds like this dude might need some meds for the fourth wall break.
Although I'm a bit late, I recognize the image of the sliding puzzle it is the nebra sky disk, it is exhibited in a museum in Halle (Germany). if anyone cares ... also "so I came" he got me with the giggle
LOL, I felt like rewatching this, I don't think I notice this before, but the opening intro is a UE4 Asset Preview Video (Horror Dining Room - Asset Pack). I'm gonna take a wild guess and say these "Dev's" just took the preview video without the creator's permission (mentioning this to the asset creator about this).
