The new Centurion D5 Evo Smart has recently been released by Centurion systems.
It is a like for like, replacement motor, for the Centurion D5 Evo.
This client had an older Centurion D5 Evo, which was giving the client problems, client elected to buy a new gate motor and requested Pottie to install the gate motor for him.
The installation was conducted on 19 July 2024 in Mondeor Johannesburg.
The old gate motor was removed and the steel base plate was checked for being properly secured, we felt that re welding should be conducted as well as extra steel brackets were needed to secure the gate motor more.
After the base plate was welded down properly, did we fit the steel nuts and the new gate motor into position.
the gate motor was secured down with the factory supplied steel nuts in a upright and parallel with the steel sliding gate.
The steel gate rail was also cut off and joined properly.
The steel gate rail was then welded into position as per factory specifications. Start up areas have extra steel brackets to prevent gate rail movement on start up.
The electrical supply was connected to the power supply.
the battery charging voltage was also checked before connecting the 12 volt battery.
The gate motor was then programmed via the my centsys app.
Remote transmitters were also programmed via the my centsys app.
The gate motor was then tested and found to be working properly.
The factory supplied anti theft bracket was adjusted by welding extra ears onto the steel bracket. This will prevent a intruder from quickly sawing through the steel rods of the anti theft bracket.
