Start MIG welding for $200! Picked up a few goodies, totaled $300. Amazing starter machine.
Pros- Light weight, portable, solid construction, 120V (NO HOUSE REWIRING), Good welds up to 1/4" steel
Cons- Flux core (no sheilding gas, spattery welds), harder to get good beads.
Conclusion- Great welder for everything from house projects to go kart and motorcycle frames
Running 0.035 flux core wire

I jusT got one of these and I love it! I have a bigger 225 Lincoln welder and this one can keep up with that one! It will do anything you need to do depending on thickness of steel but you can literally weld it all.

My first welder was a small dual voltage Everlast stick welder with a tig torch kit. Great memories of learning how to weld with that little box.

Also if you flip the knurled wheel on the feeder you can use .030 wire too!

Btw getting a vulkan is also a good bang for your buck. And also, just spend the extra money for some mix gas, it is sooo worth it.

Great video. I want to tinker with welding and am looking at inexpensive options. This little machine will have to end up as a contender for sure. Looks like a good value for the money.

A cursive lowercase e is the motion I use while pulling not pushing the puddle.

With FCAW you drag the slag. Even stated in the manual.

I got this dump cart, it's like 19 ga steel, I converted it so that the back gate lifts up and off altogether instead of pivoting at the top. So my first "big" try with this welder was to weld 1/8" x 1" tabs that the gate would slide into/out of. I dialed the amps down below the recommendation for 18 ga, but even still I was blowing through the 19 gauge steel on the cart. Eventually what work was dialing the amps down to the lowest setting and the wire speed around 5. The welds look horrendous, but it seems to hold, only time will tell.

I got an app called "cyberlink powerdirector" on my phone. Its real easy to learn and if u wanna remove the watermark its like $9.99 for 3 months

Definitely misleading! MIG also uses DCEP, this welder uses DCEN.

No it cannot. It’s flux core only, no gas inlet. 120v AC 20 amp circuit. .030-.035 wire

First of all, THIS IS NOT A MIG WELDER! MIG= Metal Inert Gas, which this welder does not use. Practice and get proficient before you post videos.

Also MIG is DCEP, FCAW is DCEN. Also people should be able to post their progress to show beginning welders the reality of what it’s like in the beginning compared to IG welding pics.
