Noise produced by an intermittent that was let run without oil for an undetermined amount of time. Currently filled to spec with LaVezzi intermittent oil.
+William Wright it came from a somewhat local (within an hour of St. Louis) drive-in theater, which went digital. I got the projector, soundhead (Century TR-4), lamphouse (Christie SLC-70), platter system (Strong Alpha 3), makeup table (Strong), splicer (Neumade), and countless other items for a whopping $100. It was badly neglected by the theater though, as you can probably tell by the super-noisy intermittent. I've since replaced the intermittent and intermittent drive gear, added a water cell for water-cooling the film trap, replaced the shutter (which had a nasty hole burned through), and I did a bunch of other work on the projector and other bits to get them back into fully safe and operational condition. It's now running in my personal home screening room.
WOW ! You Stole that ! Sweet ! Great job on restoring it. I've always wanted my own personal 35mm projector, , but - normally the cost would have been the back breaker. Of course - I don't own any prints ether. Congrats man ! That's got to be nice.
