I've never seen an actress like Songyun who can portray so many different roles in different genres and make them all so believable. She's amazing! I just finished watching her in "The Eight" and her lead female role in that 34-episode series couldn't be any more different that this part in "Master of My Own." And how many male actors has she starred with so far? over 20 I think, and each time she seems to have such great chemistry with each one.

This actress can play any role. I have seen her playing a coming of age teenager, a commercial airline pilot a financial investor, a feisty clothing designer and others. She also has the face of an angel.

Just once I'd like to see a Cdram where the girl DOESN'T trip on something and land with her lips on his. Happens in almost every one of them. Sometimes 2 or 3 times in one drama. Gets a bit predictable and ridiculous. Also, the male lead usually starts out a jerk who treats the female lead like dirt, and thinks he's the greatest thing in the world, but miraculously turns into a wonderful guy in the end.

@ashi8809 Really, that sounds like hate is some kind of oil that needs to burn up before love can take its place, which is absolutely rubbish. As I see it, he likes her and got used to her, the only thing in common with oil (which contains fermented organic stuff from millennials ago) with him is that he isn’t a pig, but a dinosaur 🦖. So he has no idea how to communicate with a down to earth woman to tell her that he wants to keep her in his life. It seems he has no private life so dating doesn’t enter his mind, and if it did he’s probably too vulnerable to try something new. That she tolerates him and wants to leave him behind is very understandable. I’m not sure that she hates him. But she’s very disappointed in him, cause she had respect for him as his secretary and sees that as a mentor he’s the petty and dinosaur one. 🦖🦤 Why would she like or even love him, he is knowledgeable but at the same time suffocating. And being dinosaur doesn’t make him boyfriend or husband material. What kind of modern woman needs that much stress and frustration, also at home? Ay ya!!! 🦖🦤🦖

I love this movie,it portrays the power of education,friendship and love. I am happy I've watch this. The cast of characters are very good portraying their part. I even shec a tear when the CEO is telling his ex secretary about his life when his young.

Haven’t seen that much character development in ages. I liked the female lead a lot, very natural and believable. She’s very tolerant of all his antics and, let’s not sugarcoat it, abuse. That the male lead can change from a bully, or even a narcissist, to a person that can ask for what he really needs in life; well it’s about damn time. What probably makes him vulnerable and not a narcissist … Anyway, I hope in real life if a woman happens upon a guy like that, I hope that after all their trouble there is a good, loving and honest man at the end of the road. And not a foot stomping, whining duckling … Wouldn’t that make a story 👩‍💻🦆

Heartwarming movie! i feel the gentleman did a magnificent job of portraying such a unique character, & his emotional growth & transformation, as did his Girlfriend also! Their love was slowly cultivated, & he helped enormously by staying close to her in his home & at work. Whoever wrote this story is a genius!! Please tell them I said so!!! & please make a Part 2, where we see them with a baby or 2, & him playing Mahjong with Ning's father - & letting him win 🙂 Love Love from Patti Morey, USA 🙂

Yes. Wallace Chung and she somehow clicked so well! The sheer magic of their chemistry in the more evocative scenes caught me by surprise. Their acting skills were so on par. I think Wallace Chung’s amazing acting skills brought out the best in the actress. I couldn’t help falling in love with the show just because them. ❤❤❤
