In todays video, I share my experience with Tac System Quartz Guard. Maybe even light it on fire...and a severe scratch abrasion test!! 😂
Quartz Easy emphasizes hydrophobics and durability (a stronger version of Moonlight), Quartz Guard favours slickness (slickness helps with coating 'self-cleaning'), as well as comes in a large 200ml bottle (will do at least 10~15 mid-sized vehicles), making a great choice for pro detailers for their customers looking for a 1~2 year coating (depending on layers).
Has a tinting effect making dark-colored paint deeper and white's more reflective.

All shenanigans aside...its not a bad coating....not sure its worth the price for just 2 years durability however. Your thoughts?

It doesn't seem outrageously expensive at $96 for the bottle, especially when you get as many applications as the ad states. I just don't like the idea of fighting with a grabby coating--I've had that before and don't care for it. I want a coating that is very effortless to remove. Thanks for the video Brian.

As a detailer i am questioning the need for multi year coatings on well maintained cars. There are so many great spray coatings now like BC 2, are they really worth the effort? Plus you get to try all the new products and they are easily removed if you need to make a repair.

$100 for something that will last a year, maybe a tad more for a daily driver, and require a little bit of extra effort to remove is not my cup of tea. I tested the oil based moonlight which was awful as a stand alone and a topper on an existing coating. Couldn't get 8 mos out of it. PITA to remove as well.

I think for the extra fighting time for the grabby coating I would say I’m not a fan. The work for 2 years of the life of the coating is a negative.The video was very informative and hilarious at the end. I think other coatings are a better option especially your Blue Collar coating.Thanks again Brian 👊🏼😂

Jetting effect! 😍 Getting black or dark colours even darker and richer is just as important as mirror-like gloss for killer looks IMHO. If they made this in 50ml size or smaller for us DIYers then I'd snatch it up.

it is so funny that you did this video, I had a coworker asking me questions about Ceramic Coatings. He stated that some place wanted to charge him $600.00 to do a coating on his truck and showed him a video that a Screw driver couldnt even scratch the paint after the Coating was applied. I told him, I WOULD NOT TRY IT!!! Then you make this great Video once again. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

That was downright hilarious. I could picture you selling products on QVC channel. It seems you have " taken a shine" to those Lake Country HDO pads. I recently bought the entire polishing , HDO and CCS line. They make a simple system of three colors, Blue, orange and black. You can pretty much do it all with these, except heavy cutting. When my wife see"s the bill i am going to blame Brian for highlighting them.

Your Jaguar is very cool! I'm kinda spoiled and want everything. Easy to apply, gloss, slickness, and durability at a competitive price. It was great having fun in the video. Two thumbs up for that! Fell out of the chair laughing with the gloss meter.

Brian on a property prepped car, how long should I expect BC1 to last on my car? Unfortunately it’s stored outside(South Florida) , but is maintenance washes every 3 weeks. TY

So what if you coated with the easy, then give it an hour or so, then top with the guard for that extra pop and slickness. I mean you might even be able to do it fluidly from start to finish on a vehicle. If you follow same start to finish. Both being so simple to apply and all.

All of the above. I did a repair to the hood and roof...stripped them. others hads PPF and coatings.....no problem at all.

I’d coat my car yearly if someone made a slick, paint enhancer coating that sheets. The hell with beading water, get the water off the car. I also give 2 shits about how hard it is or it lasting 76.2 yrs. People are having to put coatings on afterwards because the looks fade in a few yrs anyway so what’s the point of a coating that last a lifetime. It really doesn’t protect much anyway in the grand scheme of things.
