My go-to moisturizer is riceberry littileextra. I received my 3 tubes a few months ago, and I’ve been using it for 4 months. I have combo skin, and it feels like it’s perfect for my skin. It completely stops my skin from getting dry for 24 hours. Non-sticky, doesn't have fragrance, this moisturizer feels great on a cool or rainy day. Maintains beautiful hydration. You can blindly trust this brand.
i have not used the rice berry moisturizer, but I have used the rice berry sunscreen and face wash, and they suited my face nicely. I'll test the moisturizer soon
oh, wow.. yeh that's weird because the cream is more rich. But at the end of the day no one knows what your skin would like more :) that's why it's always best to try as much as you can. Glad you like it!
I have been using the cream for 2 years and now I bought the lotion and I love it more than the cream tbh . It's so light and easier to use , I think I'll keep buying the lotion instead of the cream . The cream gives me the feeling of thickness on my skin . And it feels like a matt . While the lotion gives me a comfortable feeling, it's light and makes my skin more glowy
I also used the cream for few months then bought the lotion and have been using it ever since. I totally agree with you.. it's light and it feels great on the skin. The cream I believe is for someone with super dry skin that lives somewhere where the weather is cold.
I also have the same opinion, the cream despite being denser leaves the skin with a more velvety and dry touch. But I also noticed that the order of the active ingredients in the cream is higher, implying that the cream is more concentrated and therefore more efficient.
Am currently using cerave cream,i have seen my skin loves it,it looks hydrated and it's not drying out like before when i used scented lotions! I'll keep using it
Thank you for your feedback . I’m also using this cream , the drawback is that it takes little bit time to observe on skin other than that everything is good if you have dry skin
I have very dry itchy skin. So ,I went to a dermatoligist to get rid of my dry skin. She recommened CeraVe MOISTUZING CREAM after I before I apply a body wash to shower & after I apply CreaVe moistorizing cream to my skin when dry put on baby oil on skin. You will have skin that will never get itchy !!!
I live in Malaysia which have hot and humid weather and bc of u now i knew which cerave moisturizer that suitable for me.Thank you very much for the info♥️🥰
I know I'm late coming to the table I just started researching and using some Siri products I have the lotion and I love it and we used it all summer long I have combination skin but I don't care about oil because I'm 61 and I'm glad I have some oil on my skin to keep you wrinkle free. And I just bought the healing ointment because I have some eczema I was wondering about that cream with the pump like a smart move by Saving the pump handle not throwing it out that's a real good idea and this way you can just buy the small bug you don't same size tub that the screws are the top that screws on I was wondering also about their soap your body soap and if it was any good in any other CeraVe products that you use because I'm going to try and now it's winter or fall heading into winter I ain't no matter what time of year it like to keep my skin very moisturized because of some eczema I do have and it's not getting severe because I keep my skin moisturized so have you ever use the soap that's the thing and not too many people are talking about the face and body soap bar
I didn’t even know Cerave has a soap! It’s good that you came over to tell me ☺️ I would love to try it some time! I just checked on Amazon.. there’s a deep cleansing soap and hydrating soap, I believe you are talking about the hydrating one? Yes, for sure buy the product with the pump only once, then just use that same pump 👍🏻 It’s very stable and good quality, it will last you very long time there’s no need to pay extra every single time just for the pump 😊
My skin issue is exactly like yours I’m having medication at the moment so my skin is dry otherwise my skin is normal to oily which one would suit me better, and also which one can I mix in with my foundation?
Hi, Ayesha. I think the lotion would be better for you. But as a makeup artist I don’t suggest you to mix any moisturizer with your foundation .. I don’t think that would work. However if you want to do it anyway.. it might be easier to mix it with the lotion.
Finally, I found someone like me. My skin is 100% like you, sometimes dry and sometimes normal to oily and now I start to use Cerave lotion for my routine.
A compliment is never off topic 😍 thanks! Well, it’s hard for me to tell the exact color because I do it myself at home 😄 but I basically bleach my hair with standard bleach (I try to do highlights lol) and then I apply toner (Ash Blonde) for about 10 min. My hair never gets orange-y but if there’s any I use the purple shampoo, that’s it.
I might need to make a purchase for both. I live in Florida and right now the weather is so unpredictable. One day it’ll be super cool and dry out and the next warm and humid. I also have eczema (a condition I was born with) and it’s been hard to keep all of the skin on my body moisturized and feeling comfortable. Just recently I noticed eczema festering on my face 😬.Would you recommend or do you think I should opt for just one? I just want to make sure that my skin is healthy during the cold dry days and hot humid days. (Btw I have combination skin)
Wow, it's difficult to say. If I were you I would've bought the lotion first because you have combination skin and you live in Florida ... Use it for a while and if you don't like it for your face you can use it for your body (and then try the cream for your face). 😌
On the internet i see two types of those ceraVe moisturizers but named a bit differently. "CeraVe Daily moisturizing Lotion" And then it's says it's "for normal to dry skin" "CeraVe moisturizing Lotion" And then it's says it's "for dry to very dry skin" The first one is more known in the US and the second one more in Europe. But is there actually a difference between these two?
Hey, so I had a look.. Target and Utra (US retails) sell the DAILY Moisturizing Lotion while Boots (UK pharmacy) sells Moisturizing Lotion. As you said one might be for the European market, the other one for the US market. It might the same product with slightly changes in the ingredients list as some ingredients aren’t approached by EU or US ... or maybe it’s the same product but in Europe they’re not allowed to use the word DAILY to describe this product? Either way I don’t think there will be a huge difference between the both products. Actually Cerave isn’t even available in Dubai so I have to order it from Amazon and the moisturizing cream is imported from both EU and US and I’ve noticed that usually the US one is a bit creamier. However my skin cannot tell the difference at all 🙂 Hope that helps.
Please help. I have a normal skin. My skin is neither oily nor dry. Just normal. I used the lotion one and it felt like as it left a little grease on my skin. But at the same time after applied it my skin absorbed it, it felt like its not enough hydration. So i am looking for less grease but a little bit more hydration. And i am afraid to buy the cream one because everybody says its thick. And i am wondering if it is as thick as nivea's creme. Because that cream is too heavy for me. I cant decide its so hard
Yes, definitely don’t buy the cream if your skin looks greasy with the lotion.. the cream is almost as thick as the blue Nivea and it’s mainly for very dry skin.
Heyyy I’m new to skincare so uhm I usually have oily skin but than I started using the CeraVe foaming cleanser by itself but my skin is always dry bc I have no moisturizer so which one would be good for me? I don’t have a lot of money in my skin is the only thing I’m really insecure about so I wanna make a right decision... Also I live in California
Hi Layla, the both moisturizers are normally for dry skin type. However if you feel your skin currently dry and you want to try one of these then I would suggest the moisturizing lotion, the cream is way too rich and creamy, it would look greasy on your skin.
Here in Denmark in the winter its around 0 Celsius everyday. I'm a guy and my face skin gets very dry, and i've noticed that leads to more acne and other stuff on my face. Do you think lotion would help?
Hmm that's weird.. The skin usually feels tight when it's dry but these moisturisers are really hydrating, so it doesn't make sense. Maybe your skin is extremely dry?
My skin feels the same after applying that cream. Dermatologists advice to use it on wet/damp skin. It feels much more comfortable. I won't repurchase the cream. I would buy the lotion next time. Edit: Maybe it's because it contains petrolatum. It seals in the moisture as a barrier which might feel a bit drying.
Hey, so i usually have combo skin but recently ive started pills and benzoyl peroxide for acne and its also winter and cold so i get dry patches and my skin feels tight during the day Which one should i get? The cream or lotion
I personally used the cream when I started the treatment with bp (I also have combination skin, totally oily in the summer) so I would suggest you the cream for now, it somehow helps the redness and the irritation caused by bp. Once your skin is used to the treatment you can move to the lotion.
@@nadiazayatmakeup I have the same skin type as you also sensitive, thank you very much for replying, i really appreciate it Im getting the cream right away Thanks
I have recently started using the cream on my face and oddly my skin becomes very dry and it tightens few mins after applying making me feel uncomfortable.
wow, that is weird.. considering it's especially for dry/very dry skin. However there isn't one product that fits all so I guess this is just not the right moisturiser for you. Have you tried Cethaphil? I've heard great reviews about it.
yes it is possible because it has HA and draws moisture away from your skin if your skin is dry. you should apply while your skin is wet, as you get out of the shower
Very nice video, very useful. I have sensitive dry face skin, i tried both of them, , they give very good moisturizing for many hours, but i prefer the cream because it doesn't fell greasy nor it doesn't look greasy. There is another option cream also CERAVE , its only for the face similar ingredients as the body/face cream. Dou you know which one? Would you be that kind to let me know if its worth to buy one? This face cream is quite expensive in comparation to the body/face cream... Regards
Sure you can use it daily, actually it’s recommended to be used twice a day - in the morning and in the evening. For winter eczema and extremely dry skin I think the cream would be better.
Hey, Gwen.. is it humid in your country? If yes, then the lotion would be better because the cream is quite thick.. I also live in a humid country and some months I can't wear it at all. x
It's supposed to be fragrance free but mine smells weird! Kinda like iron or urine. The smell is light but I wanna know if mine is expired or it's normal to have this smell? I got mine yesterday and used it before bed and didn't seem to have any bad side effects..just the weird smell (I can tolerate it if its just how it supposed to smell but I don't want to be using an expired product)
Hmm I've been using it for years and I've never noticed any smell. Maybe you should return it if you can? The other explanation is that the ingredients slightly vary depending on the country.. Sorry for the late reply.
No worries! And I've been using it ever since I wrote that comment and everything is fine so I'll just continue using it..maybe I just have a sensitive nose. Thanks for replying!
Does the moisturizing cream get greasy later on or no (like in an hour or more). Because the oily look on my skin really what bothers me on some moisturizers?
If you have oily skin - yes, it would definitely look greasy later on. P.S .. I hate the greasy look too 😤 it's really annoying and I pretty much get it with all moisturisers. Try using Oil Blotting Paper.. get the cheapest one and use it throughout the day to remove the excess oil.
When I bought mine it wasn’t sealed and I just checked there’s no expiration date .. but if you’ve bought it from a trusted store and if it doesn’t smell or looks weird then it’s ok.
Plz tell me which one is best for my normal to oily skin? Cerave moisturize lotion normal to dry skin or cerave moisturizing lotion dry to very dry skin? And also there are two types of crem cerave moisturizing cream normal to dry skin or cerave moisturizing cream dry to very dry skin.
@@nadiazayatmakeup thanks 🙏 a lot .. r u not using adapalene for acne ?? My dermatologist recommended it but m quite scared coz I already have dry sensitive skin
They're both suitable for acne-prone, dry and sensitive skin. The moisturiser is very rich and thick and I believe it's more for very dry skin, while the lotion is lightweight and it can be used for dry and normal skin type.
Hey, both moisturisers are suitable for sensitive skin, however if you have combination skin definitely the lotion would be better for you. The cream is really thick and rich and it's more suitable for very dry skin.
If you are allergic ..it's usually from a particular ingredient. So what you can do is.. go to their website and see if this ingredient is on the ingredients lists of these moisturisers.
Can you suggest me? I think I have combination skin, very oily on my nose, and dry/balanced on cheeks, recently I bought facial foaming cleanser, and my face feels so dry after washing, which one I should get lotion or cream?
propylparaben like other parabens can be bad when in high concentrations but in most moisturizers (including cerave) the concentration is low and normally wont have an effect on your skin.
I want to try it but I am fair, wil this cream not dark me? I have dry skin sometimes when I use harsh shampoo I get red on my face so I have sensitive skin too Please reply can I use this cream wil it not dark me?
hey, dear...absolutely not! it will NOT make your skin darker.. that's practically impossible. There moisturisers are great for dry and sensitive skin. You should give it a try!
Yes, I have been using the both - the cream and the lotion after benzoyl peroxide and it's my favourite combination 👍🏼 Of course everyone's skin is different so it might not suit some people but it is definitely worth the try.
I have combination skin not so dry not so oily..also acne prone and scaly on my forehead...which on is good for me ..lotion or cream plz reply...🥺 Sorry for my English 😐I hope you understand!
If your skin is flaky means it's very dehydrated. If you live somewhere cold I would say use the cream for now to hydrate your skin well, after that you can switch to the lotion considering you have oily parts. Both are okay for acne-prone skin.
I would be so thankful to you if you can tell which face wash and moisturiser would better.. either clear transparent face wash and moisturisers are better or cream based face washes and moisturiser..which one have less chemicals
Hmm I don't think the colour matters that much.. it's more important what ingredients it has, what's written on the label.. is it made for dry skin, or for oily etc. I've noticed that usually the products for oily skin type are transparent, those for dry skin are creamy, but as I said I don't think that matters that much.. it's best to have a look what's written on the packaging.
Hey! Is it okay if I use the cream at night and the lotion during the day? I have combination skin but since I use benzoyl peroxide for acne my skin feels really dry :/
Yes, you can! 👍🏼 I completely understand, same thing here.. I used the cream when I first started using BP, it really hydrated and calmed my skin. After few months I started using the lotion as my skin wasn't that dry anymore. But you can totally use one in the morning, the other one in the evening, no problem at all :)
Yes you can 👍🏼 although I personally find the cream a bit too thick for the body.. I believe it's more for small dry areas.. maybe only your hands. But in general yes, both are developed for the face and body!
I have combination skin..not so oily not so dry. And also acne prone.. I love the simple hydrating light moisturizer, never use any thick moist. I want to switch cerave for ceramide. Now I am little bit confused to purchase lotion or cream. Please dear guide me❤️
I do have acne, i am using adapalene right now and some days my skin is super dry some days its super oily, what you suggest ? Should i go with cream or lotion
It's hard to say which one would work best for you. If you're in the beginning of the treatment it's better to use the more hydrating one - the cream. But if your skin is oily it might be better to use the lotion. It also matters where you live.. if it's cold where you are now - the cream, if you live in hot climate - the lotion.
@@nadiazayatmakeup i am using cream right now and weather is lil bit drying in my region but still with cream i get moisture when i apply on damp skin on dry skin it irritates, what can be the reason? Even though cream has more moisture than lotion
I’m not sure to be honest. If it hydrates your skin more when applied on damp skin then keep doing that. Otherwise if you feel the moisturizer doesn’t suit your skin, don’t be afraid to try something else.
www.idiva.com/amp/beauty/skin/using-hyaluronic-acid-on-your-skin-in-humid-weather-is-the-best-way-to-avoid-its-side-effects/18002102 It’s actually better to be used in humid areas..
The moisturising lotion I use it all the time on me and on clients under the makeup and it works great. The cream is quite thick so probably only someone with very dry skin would be able to use it under the makeup.
@@nadiazayatmakeup thank you. I just bought it. It feels great on the skin as it is. Have yet to see though how it turns out as a moisturizer/base under make up. ☺️
Hey, both moisturizers are for dry skin. The cream is too rich and it’s for very dry skin SO it’s definitely not for you. You might like the lotion as it’s lightweight but probably only for the winter season. Your skin might look greasy with it in the warm months.
@@nadiazayatmakeup thanks, I already have a cleanser and mask I just need the final product after I put everything else on. Do you have any other recommendations? also I appreciate how quick you responded.
No worries 🥰 For oily skin I like Caudalie VINOPURE SKIN PERFECTING MATTIFYING FLUID .. it’s non-comedogenic, it hydrates well and leaves the skin matte. Another good one is the Original Skin™ Matte Moisturizer With Willowherb by ORIGINS. But of course there’re many more, so don’t be afraid to try :))
My skin is oily type.but now I am in uk. But here my skin suddenly become dry..so is it good for me.? Which one is better for mine, cream or lotion? And Is cerave is gd for my skin?
Hmmm I’m not 100% sure.. it should be ok as it doesn’t have fragrances and it’s suitable for sensitive skin as well but it’s best to double check with your GP next time you visit them 💕
I use the moisturizing cream on my body right out of the shower on damp skin and my skin loves it. My skin feels so soft, hydrated, looks glowy and healthy. I wouldn't use any either on my face.
