I use the the AM and PM moisturizers in the colder months, and then switch to the ultra lightweight one for the warmer months. Sometimes oil-free moisturizers aren't enough in the winter, but CeraVe never lets me down. And it never pills when put over serums.
1:20 What you should look for in a moisturiser 4:25 Moisturising cream (best for dry skin) 7:13 Daily moisturising lotion (best for balanced to dry or combo skin) 9:25 PM facial moisturising lotion (best for balanced to oily skin) 12:22 AM facial moisturising lotion with sunscreen (best for all skin) 14:20 Ultra moisturising face lotion with sunscreen (best for combo to oily skin)
I have oily skin that sometimes get dry as well. although i don’t want my lotion with sunscreen as i also want to apply it at night so which one is best. the one with balanced and oily?
i have very oily skin but if i use the moisturising cream at night, i wake up with perfectly balanced skin to the point where i dont have to wash my face in the morning anymore lol so even if you have oily skin give it a try!!
Girl I just want to say thank you you are the reason that I have a skin care routine right now like I've bought every single product out of your recommendations
Thank you so much! I’m new to skincare, so I’m starting off with Cerave. Eventually, with the help of Hyram and other skin influencers and you, I’ll be able to buy other brands too.
The moisturiser I’ve used from Cerave, is the moisturising lotion. It is slightly thick in my opinion. I found out that it caused me breakouts, so I stoped using it. The one I’m using at the moment is the Versed Dew point moisturising gel, and found out that it works incredibly on my combination skin. Hope this helped 😄
as a skincare starter and a broke college student, your videos are such saviors! I've been wanting to start a skincare routine but am always hesitating bc I couldn't afford some of the high-end products that some of my classmates are using and also bc I have had acne since puberty which has only gone worse during the pandemic. Thank you for the amazing recommendations and you earned a subscriber right here!
Combo skin here too! More oily-sensitive-balanced-ish type of skin but the moisturizing cream is something my face LOVES! I combine it with the foam cleanser for normal to combination skin and AHA face toner afterwards and it’s great! I have to wait a bit during the daytime for it to get absorbed before applying my sunscreen, but it’s not that bad.
hey, as a oiler skin person i find it suprising that this suits your skin, because i have normal to slightly combination skin and i tried the moisturizing lotion and it left my skin very oily. and i dont understand why cause its targeted towards normal to combo skin types. maybe its because of the very humid climate where i live. is the place u live colder as the cream was not heavy for u
every time i go to get a new product, i always watch your reviews over them and you help soo much! i bought the hydrating cleanser after watching your review on it and it works very well for me!! underrated queen ❤❤
I like the PM Lotion a lot and LOVE the Ultra-Light Lotion w SPF, but I can't stand the AM Lotion. The consistency is atrocious compared to the other two (and you definitely don't need to over-apply to get pilling, it just sometimes acts up).
@@ilovefood1636 based on what they said, I guess. I'm also planning to use it in the morning as I have an oily skin so a lightweight moisturizer would be good
@@ilovefood1636 I do! I like the feel of it soooo much more than Cerave AM! I use Cerave PM as a moisturizer in the am before I apply my sunscreen, usually DRMTLGY. I also have other moisturizers I switch up!
@@ilovefood1636 sorry for the late reply, but I use the Ultra-Light Lotion SPF 30 in the morning and the PM Facial Lotion at night (or the Renewing Night Cream when I'm dry), but the PM is totally fine to use in the daytime. It's nice and lightweight.
Just in time when I wait for Amazon to deliver some CeraVe products! Question - Are the PM / AM lotions good enough for rehydrating Dehydrated, Oily skin? I tried using other brands with thicker cream texture, it caused mini breakouts. My goal is to hydrate my skin without the oily t-zones problem. Thank you Cathy!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I recently bought the CeraVe PM moisturizer since my skin type is combo and oily at times, and after watching your explanation, it really made me reassured and feel safe to use it. Its actually been few weeks so far using this moisturizer, and i see no problems yet!!! Again, thank you so much 😭❤️❤️
I didn't know Cerave was such a humorous thing😂😂 I mean why is she smiling continuously?? May be the moisturizers are kinda funny. I got so so turned off due to this unnecessary smiling.
Omg I was just about to buy a new cerave moisturizer! Thank you for this video! I'm getting the moisturizing cream, because I have combo/dry skin in the winter and my cheek area tends to get really dry and flaky so that lotion will hopefully fix the problem! I love your content!!
She is so underrated, she needs more attention cause her knowledge is gold!!! We stan the right person!! Thanks for your wise words and for giving us infos that is really helpful❤️🙌🏻
Have you ever heard of the company NIOD and Hylamide they are owned by the same company (deciem) as The Ordinary. They have more advanced formulations and products and id love it if you could do a review of them or just take a look 💛
I'm so glad I watched this video! I've been using CeraVe for 3 years now but occasionally I suffer from random skin infections! I had to switch to the lotion to avoid re-infecting myself with the pot based cream but I didn't know they sold a version of it with a pump! This will be great for me since I have dry and dehydrated skin :)
cleanse ur face with gentle cleanser first and then wait for an hour if ur skin is dry means u have dry skin and if ur skin oily means u got oily skin, then u can decide which moisturiser suits u. if a moisturiser is working on you ur skin will not getting too oily or too dry, it will make ur skin feel normal
I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (thin and I believe dry skin - especially on my top eye lids). Because of my EDS, my skin is a bit like “paper skin” I think it’s called. Would you recommend CeraVe?
Ceramedx is basically a vegan/cruelty free cerave dupe Similar price/fragrance free and cruelty free and they have ceramides as the highlight of the brand like cerave
Hi, i really love your videos!! Could you please do a video about normal acne-prone skin?? Like a "whole" skincare routine. I cannot find any videos for my skin😭
Hi, with a moisturizer that also has sunscreen in it, should you put it on damp or dry skin? Idk what to do because moisturizer you put in damp skin and sunscreen you put on dry skin..
I have OILY skin and I like the cream plus it definitely worth the price. Unfortunately, I adore the ultra light lotion with spf but the price is too high for me for the quality.
I belive you can, yes. But yeah it does depend on your skin type. I have combo skin as well, but more combo/dry in the winter. Personally for me it didn't work, but it's still a great product!
Omg I love this video it’s so in depth! But there’s one thing. For anyone out there that uses cruelty free products, Cerave unfortunately isn’t cruelty free :( I made a RU-vid video on cruelty free dupes for cerave tho if anyone’s interested!
Thank you! Perfect timing! It's almost time for me to replace my CeraVe AM moisturizer and was just sort of wondering if there was another option to try because it's sort of...gloopy. I am going to get the ultra-light moisturizing lotion and see what I think!
@@Infinity_Wanderlust the cream didnt work for me at all. i got dry patches and overall broke out a little bit around the mouth. but my face loves the lotion. currently on my second bottle
Moved from the Cetaphil face & body all skin types 48hr moisturizing lotion to the Cerave moisturizing lotion. I think the Cerave is working a lot better for my skin.
I bought Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleancer that also removes makeup and i am really pleased with my purchase. I think i should go and check other products too. And i love that they are fragrance free (really don't like when i use lotion with strong fragrance that not match with my perfume....)
Neutrogena deep clean foaming face wash twice a day The ordinary niacinamide serum every morning The ordinary lactic acid serum every night Cosrx birch sap moisturizer twice a day Laneige lip sleeping mask The ordinary aha bha exfoliator serum once a week Cosrx aloe spf50 sunscreen Face halo Bobbi brown makeup Wet n wild makeup Maybelline lipsticks Garnier micellar water with medical pharmacy cotton Johnson baby body lotion Retin a 0.05 % 27 years old Oily acne prone skin . 🥰😍
Oooo I love your nails!! Also I literally just bought the Cerave hydrating facial cleansers and the moisturizer in the tub (forget the name lol) because of you...hoping for good results because proactive has been so hard on my dry skin 😔 ❤️
I used to PM moisturizer. It’s my fav I only apply it with a serum and then sleep I got no pimple at all. My skin is like oily during T-zone. I used it for years now only it and nothing else.my skin used to be so sensitive and dry that when I apply cera ve on my face it feels like burning but now it okay.
the old version of pm lotion really suited my skin, I used it for am and pm. the reformulated one (2018) unfortunately broke me out. I’m curious about the latest one though, idk if I should try it out or not
hii i bought the PM cerave lotion recently and i've been using it for a few weeks now but im not sure if its breaking me out or also because i didn't get enough sleep because of my exams thats causing my forehead to have tiny bumps and pimples :(
Wait wait wait... Are the "Daily Moisturizing Lotion and "Moisturizing Lotion the same? I really need to know it because i can maybe get the moisturizing lotion from my local shop, but haven't found the one with "Daily" in the name.
Hi i have combo skin i have acne on my face and blackheads too could you please send me the combo names ,like cleanser ,moisturizer, serum, sunscreen names pls i tried so many its not working i want to try cerave products thank you
I wish they had a moisturizer with ceramides and MVE but no petrolatum, parabens, chemical sunscreens, or polysorbate-20 All of these have at least one of these 😔
After going through hundreds of reviews, I got this moisturizer by liitllextrra riceberry, and this is definitely a must-have. You can feel the difference even after the first time using it. It doesn't make my skin oily, my skin feels weightless and moisturized, unlike others. Thank goodness I got my hands on this. And the best part is it’s suitable for every skin type. This is not at all harsh on the skin. Your face feels smooth and you get a radiant look. The texture of the moisturizer is creamy and has no smell. The performance of this is just amazing. The ingredients don't irritate the skin. Go ahead and try it. This is the most amazing moisturizer ever. Absolutely a 10/10.
Can they not just put Niacinamide in the regular lotion?? Honestly. Niacinamide is not an expensive ingredient, theres no reason to sell the face moisturiser in the tiny bottle.
Hey love, i have the cerave lotion and I really like it but it burns my skin in the first 20-30 seconds when I apply it Is this normal? I don't want to stop using it because 1. I really like it and 2. I have a big bottle so I don't want to throw it out or use it on my body Is it bad? It doesn't burn after the first 20-30 seconds but I really don't want to damage my skin I hope you answer❤️❤️
Yep, they're not cruelty-free. This is such a bummer. They sell in China too and for skincare and cosmetic products to be sold there, companies need to do animal testing.
I'm 23, I have very dry face , oily, dehydrated parts and different types of acne and open pores as well as sensitive skin. Which one should I use( i don't have too much knowledge about skin care nore have a well defined skin care routine)
I have combination skin and underlying eczema, cerave cream serves well on my skin. It holds my make up the whole day and makes my skin glow naturally 😊
Again- What moisturizer do you recommend for very bumpy ,sensitive, oily skin? I don’t have a lot of acne but i do have a lot of those smallI red bump. I tried a lot of products but it didn’t work, and the night cream/moisturizer im using is making my skin even more oily in the morning and I don’t think that would go well with my bumpy face lol
If you haven’t found something that works for you yet, I would definitely recommend a gel-cream moisturizer. I have sensitive combination skin and I personally use Versed’s Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream. Its really nice because it has aloe and green tea so it calms down sensitive skin AND moisturizes it. But its also super lightweight :)
I have oily skin but I bought the daily moisturizing lotion, do you think I could still get away with using it without any problems 🤔 if not what could happen to my skin for using the wrong type for my skin
DO NOT use the lotions if you have eczema!!! as someone who has eczema, the moisturizing lotions always have broken me out and stung my sensitive skin, also causing flare ups around my eyes and cheeks. The cream is what you need! Avoid parabens at all costs!!
thank you so much! today my family and I went out and bought the CeraVe hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser and CeraVe daily moisturizing cream!! (even though they're very skeptical lol)
I have dry skin and I use the moisturizing creme at night and the am moistureizer in the morning. I’ve also used the lightweight spf moisturizer and liked it.
