I tried playing Ego before you released this video. And I think I played it right, but its nice to have a confirmation now that tells me I was playing it right. :) It looks like Ego is super strong. I played Ego against myself, and I cant manage to win from him. Because everytime im winning the common aspiration, at the end of egos turn, ego gets willpower for it. And he already urns a lot of points during his turn sometime. So when im in a revelation Ego has always enough willpower to make me lose from him xD I probably have to play differently and need to play more to become more experienced. But its weird that when im winning the common aspiration the whole time before the revelation, ego is getting rewarded for it and make me lose from him when the revelation is actually triggered :p But like I said its probably cause of a wrong playstyle im having atm. :)

Ego is able to spend WP to beat the player in the Aspirations to help keep the game balanced since Ego's Operations might not have it perform an action that would actually help with the current goals. It can definitely be frustrating when that happens, but that is why it is important to not let the time between Revelations be too long--the quicker you can score, even if you only place a Minor Fragment, the less WP Ego will have to spend to take the win.

We are actually already working on the Ego Playthrough Video that will be up in June. Careers, life, and more involvement in the board game industry left us with less time to work on our videos than we expected. But you will be seeing more videos coming from us at more regular intervals; our goals is to have one video ready every month or so.

Sorry this took so long (both our reply and the video), but we just posted the sample playthrough (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k2Eo4VRigvA.html)! Hopefully, you will find it worth the wait and we will try to be more consistent with our uploads. : )

was very confused at first, for the command cards, as the frame has a symbol on the left card, I used that as an action for the EGO. Finally gave up with the management of the EGO being so complex with all the priorities making it difficult and long each turn. Will try again someday. Honestly from the team of Anachrony, I'm very disappointed, the Chronobot use is very simple and straightforward, you execute things with no interpretation, no exception ...

Yes, the Ego was a unique challenge. With Anachrony being a Euro/Worker Placement game, it was possible to have a more straight forward AI. However, as Cerebria is an area control game, the AI had to be able to make decisions about what it should do. The Ego does a great job of simulating another player and works well with the game without feeling like it was an after thought or add-on. I will agree that it is not as straight forward as Anachrony's Chronobot, but this is to allow the Ego to make decisions without player input in a game with more possible strategies. We are finishing up our Sample Playthrouth video for the Ego and it will be up this week. Hopefully, it will help to make it a little easier to understand--once you get the rules and priorities down, it is quite quick to go through the Ego's turns.

@@TabletopTutorials I think it would work if it was a human opponent, but it's actions are done by the player, who is its adversary, so it can lead to not doing the best for the ego, possibly involuntarily

The player does/should not be making any decisions for Ego as the rules and procedures make all of the decisions. This is why it doesn't seem straight forward. If done correctly, there is no way for the player to involuntarily cause the Ego to take a suboptimal turn. When we first looked at this, it seemed as though the player could impact Ego's decisions but, as we got more familiar with the rules and gameplay, we realised that this is not the case.
