You're telling me there are people who DON'T think she was one literal atom from killing the entire party/city to further her own goals like a Saturday morning series finale boss?
Calamity really showed off a different facet of Brennans ability as a DM. Dimension 20 is a brilliant show and showcases other ways to play beautifully. But a problem it has (as I think was showcased by the recent Neverafter) is that, because the cast are all trained in comedy, the serious and tension is always releived by a good joke. And thats their job! And they do it wonderfully! It's something that happens alot around home tables, where tension can be uncomfortable and scary. It does however make it difficult to build certain types of atmosphere. Of course, both CR and D20 can flip the script, so to speak, with scenes that debunk the above. I love them both, BECAUSE they bring different things to the table. I'm certainly looking forward to watching Matt DM for the D20 crew soon to see what energy we get there :)
