To be perfectly honest I made this video when I ended up having some unplanned free time with nothing but my phone to entertain me. Found a few videos I just happen to have on my phone so I started editing and this is what I ended up with. This might be the first video in a future playlist, maybe called...........Speaker Porn? lol. Anyway hope you enjoy!

Perfect way to listen music loud! Sensitive speakers and clean non-clipped watts of power feeding them

The 10’s are underrated… sad they don’t make the 10’s anymore as far as a 3 way cabinet. 12’s are awesome, and 15’s are too much for what most people use them for. You got a garage or an average home the 10’s will out perform the 15’s in a smaller space. Need a lot of open room, and big power to make them 15’s really sing. Just my opinion though. My grandpa has a set of 15’s in his barn and they sound pretty good… but not a big enough space for the sound to travel. My uncle hooked his 10’s up to my grandpas receiver in the barn and they blew the 15’s out of the water. Anybody that is buying these for a barn or living room or a garage, buy an older set of 10’s or buy 12’s… if you have a huge ass house and you’re throwing an outdoor block party, buy the 15’s. That simple. Bigger doesn’t always sound better. Have to utilize them for what they’re made for. Love the video man. Just subscribed.

10s are underrated but can’t handle much power as I’ve cooked the coils in hed 103 vs100 and at10, had them in a technics su-g91

My brother had those same AT-12s back in 1989 and I inherited them years later. I blew many fuses but never the speakers. lol You either love CVs or you hate em! They can handle a lot of power. I have a pair of SL-28s in front, a pair of SL-5Ms for surrounds and an XLS-6C for center. I have an 8” Klipsch front firing sub up front by the towers and a 12” Klipsch down firing sub in the back next to my couch. Maybe not the perfect setup but since I wheel and deal a lot in used home audio I hardly have any $ into them. Anyway, great video!

I have yet to hear any of the LA series but from what others have said so far they seem to be a good bang for your buck. They obviously have gone the route of most modern speakers these days with smaller drivers narrow front baffle. I can only assume they are designed to be more accurate rather than focusing on sensitivity like the old school models. One day when I get my hands on some I would love to measure them and see what they're all about.

Them are really good bands, but woofers wouldn't be flexing while playing such music, like they do while playing hip-hop etc.

I agree. Great bands, both of which have to be cranked up everytime! Unfortunately I am limited to royalty free music for RU-vid videos so that would be a no go.

Yes sir. When I got these speakers someone used what I think was JL Audio rubber surrounds. They attached them with some terrible glue that dried hard as a rock and was almost impossible to remove. I was testing them out after the fix and that's when I noticed the rattle.

Yes I was reaching the limits of my microphone, also one of the AT-12 cabinets developed some rattling that I noticed in this video.

Are the D3 VEGA'S any good? or should i upgrade? if they are good, can you tell me what amp/receiver will give them true life?

Really depends on what you're after. The 10's aren't going to have that powerful low end bass like most 12's and 15's have but the 101W2 woofer in the D-3 still preforms very well in my opinion. I use a set of D-2's in my main everyday system in my living room. Those use the same tweeter and woofer as the D-3 just without the midrange and they are one of my favorite CV speakers. With that said I also run a 12" Paradigm subwoofer with them to get that extra punch.

I have some CV E312 but their woofers do not flex or move too much back and forth when I press them with my amplifier....I bought them a long time ago already repaired, what could it be?

How are you able to run the 4 speakers at once? Are they 6 or 8 ohm?

They are both 8 ohm. Hooked up in parallel so amp sees 4 ohm load. I have ran a 2 ohm load on that Adcom before and it handled it no problem.

Man! What do you have against the Chinese? Also, Cerwin Vega products were manufactured in the USA up until around the early 2000's. Later on, some were made in Indonesia and then China. Some of their mids and tweeters were made in Japan, and Taiwan. But man pretty much everything is made in China these days, so either the Chinese really did you wrong one time or you have some anger issues. I'm sorry either way because there's nothing my channel can do for you no matter which issue it is. 😆
