I believe what Monse's dad said at the at the beginning was harsh. He said that Cesar's life isn't going anywhere and her's can. I really thought that Cesar was gonna have a bright future, buy BOY did that last scene at the end of the episode proved me wrong!

Tbh you will, when I moved I had two amazing best friends one of them I knew since I was 4. In the first year when I moved we use to call each other ALL the time, but then gradually the calls started ending. It's nearly been 3 years now and were not even following each other on social media any more. And that's reality life isnt a fairytale where everything is perfect, btw I found really good other friends now. Good luck 💗

It happens. But I moved away from my childhood best friend at age 11 and we are still best friends 15 years later. But she’s my longest friend. Other friends I’ve had since I was 12 and 17 or college. So, if both of y’all are willing to put forth the effort it’ll be fine... but you may find other friends and that is ok too!

Having watching this season twice now, it all now makes so much more sense. I don't believe Cesar joined the gang after Monse left due to maybe feeling he had no other option/ sad without Monse. This scene speaks volumes and to me its clear that Cesar had made up his mind about joining the Santos when Spooky said he wanted out of the gang lifestyle. In this scene Cesar was really pushing Monse to go because... A. He's always supported her dreams of becoming a writer B. He needed her to go in order for him to be truly affiliated with the gang because he knew she would try and stop him. I believe his mind was made up in this scene that he was going to join the Santos. C. Also he wasn't offended by what Monse dad said in this scene. He actually agreed with him like he has come to terms with it truly. Which leads me to believe that he knew from this scene that he was going to join the gang. I maybe completely wrong, but this is my theory.
