Technically speaking, this is a 414a Chancellor, not a straight 414, which only got the “Chancellor” nickname later (1976). Differences are: skinny vertical fin, longer nose, and more importantly, integral fuel tanks while early straight 414s add bladdered fuel tanks and 310’s like tip tanks. The 414 was created by Cessna to bridge the inexpensive unpressurized (masquerading as being so) 401/402 “Conqueror”, featured earlier on this channel, and the more sophisticated and powerful 421 “Golden Eagle” (geared propellers). The 400 series of propeller airplanes from Cessna, from the bare 402 to the turbine 425/441 Conquests, are the paradigm of very safe cabin class travelers aircraft born in the 60’s and still relevant today, more than 50 years later. And very good looking at that! Note: this one seems to have 4 blades propellers which are non standard. Suggesting it may have received the non official 400hp engine kit upgrade (320hp originally).

The 4 Blade props are available aftermarket from MT Propeller. The largest certified engine upgrade was the RAM Voyager TSIOL-550 with 350HP. 37 were modded, the upgrade was a huge failure. Most have been converted back to air-cooled TSIO-520s

Oh wait, you're referring to the Riley Rocket IO-720 upgrade. This isn't one of them, it has the wrong cowling. Plus that mod was never used in the A model. Only the 414 with tip tanks got the mod. 7 were built. The only surviving one is N314AV (414 not a 414A model) 2 have crashed. The rest are unaccounted for (possibly converted back to RAM VII) The mod lost its Certificate of Airworthiness and is Restricted.
