Wow, fascinating! Love the steam gauges! And your expertise and obvious affection for this veteran jet. (I fly a ‘46 Champ, hand prop, so love old school.)
Beautiful aircraft and helpful overview. I'm currently 2.5 hours into right seat and looking forward to any chance I can get to train up to PIC. Going over the systems now, and trying to digest all of the intricacies! The engineers had fun with this one. Thanks for the info. safe flying.
I learned a lot from this presentation re the Citation II from a very beautiful captain, my son kept asking to see the RU-vid clip over & over at least this is documentary-like not some empty movie. Good job Mr Johnson.
@@behindthen0thing they curl the water back towards the ground not allowing water to go up the sides of the fuselage, the are only on aircraft with engines on the fuselage
Currently working on my IR. Can't wait to get my hand on something faster than 110kts during cruise! Very nice plane, I believe i've worked this plane at BJC Dallas Love Field.
Really great video. Was thinking of looking at a Super II presented to me. This brought me up to speed, and answered by questions. Seems like a CJ2 or CJ2+ is a better choice on the used market.
TKS leading edges are also made from stainless steel verses the aluminum heated leadings as TKS can be corrosive to aluminum. Stainless has a very good corrosion resistance.
And if you observe, the windshield alcohol is on able to be supplied to the pilots windshield only, the copilots side does not have the nozzles for alcohol.
Looking to get an SII someday. Heard the engines were almost impossible to get. Cool work-around you did. Yeah, heard the TKS was the one downsides of the S. A lot of airplane for the money though.
Actually Aubrey you were close, but the reason to the the chines are on the nose wheel is not to deflect water from the belly, rather to deflect water away from the engines..prevent water ingestion on landing or takeoff risking engine flameouts.
Try using a fluid morph to cover those jump cuts of use broll. It makes the watcher think they’re having a stroke. I’ve used fluid morphs to cover jump cuts in avid media composer for 20 years on everything from tv news, to corporate video, to large studio feature films. They recently (few years ago) introduced a version of it on Adobe premiere. It’s not as good but it’s fine. What they do is morph the image between the cuts to make it disappear. Just like the Michael Jackson black and white video face morphing. But since it’s the same person in almost the same position, you can make a seamless cut. You can also play around with the position of each in and out frame to help it as well as control motion vectors. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ML1kKzzipwM.html
@@behindthen0thing Aubrey is smart, she knows the components and workings of the aircraft with an emphasis on excellent service to her clients. Her work is her passion and talking to her, her brilliance shines through.
ErikJohnston I understand that but it’s annoying to me when on a 20 minute video I have to watch two 15 second ads (same exact ads) every 5 minutes. Just being honest.
Tony Tech I appreciate your honesty. It takes an insane amount of time and a good chunk of my own money and time away from my family to make these videos. The ads help a little bit with gas money if you will.
Tony Tech Jesus....is it really that tough to watch these ads? Considering how much time it takes to make these videos? You’ve just wasted more time complaining about the ads on here then watching them. Some people..
