Enjoyed the video, thanks! Masking tape applied just below the ejection port will prevent brass kisses in the gun's paint. The gun shown in the video is a second generation Marcolmar gun, with upgraded Ceracote paint and reliability enhancements to the bolt and mag well. Mine works perfectly with 5.56 ammo, but had a few failures early on with .223 ammo. Gotta say, powder fouling gets everywhere in these guns! No problem, just clean with a tooth brush and your favorite paint-safe gun cleaner. A single aluminum M16 mag from OK Industries is included with each new Marcolmar gun. Marcolmar does not recommend plastic mags. The original Spanish magazines were steel copies of FN-FNC mags. They were a tight fit in the original Spanish Cetme L, but they fit and work fine in Generation 2 Marcolmar guns, along with STANAG M16 magazines. Apex Gun Parts has original 30 rd. mags for $8. Gun Parts has NOS original slings. You can find unissued bayonets on eBay. Original bayonets were not factory sharpened, so if yours has no edge, that's why.
Thank you so much on the overview! The info on the ejection port being too small for live rounds and the Lancer mag compatibility are things i really wanted to know 😸
I got a CETME L and I absolutely love it. Marcolmar did a really good job when they made this rifle. Mine is really accurate and no problems after a couple of hundred rounds through it.
My understanding is they bought 10K kits. They are building half and using the other half for replacement parts... So a run of 5000. The less desirable HMG model was limited to 150 or so. The original run in Spain was only 100K and they equip their National Guard with the old ones they still have. This will be sure to be one of those collector rifles that goes up after they are gone. I got lucky on the used market and scored one from a non-gun guy who didn't like it after he bought it because the charging handle spring came loose. He never shot it. Got it basically new in the box. Picked it up for a grand. It's the gray model with green furniture and rail. It's about 150 units older than yours. I slapped a holosun circle dot with low mount on it, and it co-witnesses flawlessly. The 65 moa circle sits perfectly in the front sight.
Nice review been thinking about one of these for quite sometime. What shop do you work at? Do you guys offer online layaway plans? Thanks in advance have a great weekend.
Had to crank the volume up a lot to hear your voice well. Then during the shooting portion blasted my eardrums out. Good video, maybe work on the audio. Constructive criticism. Keep up the good work.
@@OreGear I used this rifle too in the spanish military service in 94, like Oskar. The story of this rifle is the same than everything in Spain: first prototypes were excellent but too expensive (around 1200 € by that time), politicians said that it was to be cheaper then manufacturer had to assembly worse materials. Result: a possible supergood rifle became a perfect bulls**t. Anyway, it is and it was the most beatuiful rifle ever.
En estos tiempos que corren como me gustaria tener uno, aqui en españa es practicamente imposible. Durante mi servicio militar use tanto el cetme C como este el L.
@@OreGear Thanks, Everyone mentions "surprisingly soft shooting" but never what they were comparing it to. (G3, MP5, AR-15 are all valid comparisons but they never specified) It's going on the short list :D
