Hey, very nice setup. I’m interested in the same thing. Could you tell me the dimensions of the pannier racks on Ali espress? I’m interested in the 48-liter Rhino ones. I want to see if they are compatible or if they are too large. Have you thought about whether you could do without the straps over the top of the seat and place them under the seat, or maybe modify them and attach them to the screws of the pannier racks? I’m very interested in your opinion. Best regards and thanks a lot.
It would be good to hear your feedback after you use these bags on a trip mate, and if you've had to fight with the removal of them. Thanks for the video. Cheers!
Thank you for your feedback. The first initial setup took me some time to get the straps setup and to figure out where they would go. As soon as their setup and you know where the straps will be routed, it wouldn't take that long to take off and put back on the next time.
Hi Diablo, and thank you for watching. I haven't used mine without the racks, but I think they will be very floppy and loaded with weight I don't think that is something you want. That will affect the handling of the bike. You would also want to keep them away from going under the rear wheel arch.
Thanks champ for detailing this video! Music was awesome! The racks look great but the bags are definitely complicated. Ill never forget riding all day & till midnight getting into Innamincka & it was pitch black. No way I would undo those straps after being absolutely shagged. Is there any other way to strap them down? Cheers!
The bags are only a bit complicated upon the first initial setup on the bike as all the straps need adjusting. After that there are 2 quick release clips(each side) and the one strap that runs around the back that will need weaving through a buckle. But yes, there might be simpler options available. I'm personally not a big fan of hard case panniers as they are way too wide for my liking and I'm sure after a couple of drops they will not look so good anymore. Ha Ha... I'm happy to provide these videos so we all can see what will work for us. I'm also learning in the process. Once again, thank you for watching and stay tuned for more.
Thank you for your feedback and I Apologize for that. Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! NZ$59.18 15%OFF | For CFMOTO 450MT 450 MT 2024 Motorcycle Saddlebag Support Bar Mount Bracket Original Aluminium Alloy Hanging Bag Holder MT-450 a.aliexpress.com/_EJHjypt
Ha Ha, not a bad Idea... Maybe I should keep the pillowcases for that... The Mrs would kill me!🤣 I'll see after my first long trip if it's a struggle and adjust from there. Thank you for your feedback and stay tuned for more videos...
Definitely yes... thin dry bags or plastic bags to go inside the saddlebags. The saddlebags are never getting off my bike, When I don't use them I'll probably remove the inserts and roll them tight onto themselves.
@@EddyOtway Hi Eddy and thanks for watching. You don't need it, it's just an ocd thing for me to keep it's original shape. I want straight lines on the seams.
