With less than 2 hours on it, our 2021 CF Moto ATV’s electronic power steering failed on us. Luckily it was a quick fix! Check out the video to see!

3:09 Stumbled across your video while searching for why my EPS wasn’t working since I bought my CForce 600 EPS in September 2021. The dealer couldn’t find the issue. After replacing the fuse, my EPS works beautifully. Thank you for posting the video because it helped me solve my power steering issue. Because of this I’ve subbed. 3:09 3:09 Fantastic job!

CFMotos are really great machines! I am loving 2019 UForce 500. I had a minor issue with mine concerning the emissions issue but it was resolved under warranty and life goes on. I am a happy owner so far. You get a lot for the money!

Thank you for this video. Mine went out about the same time, 1 hour. Brand new 800xc. Dealer is 1 hour away. I'm going to go see if I can dig miine out and change the fuse. Thanks again. I just subbed!

Ok brother. I have a 2021 800xc myself. I bought mine in September of 2020. After my second ride, at about 68 miles, my EPS went out. Cfmoto may make this a recall issue. Warranty will fix it for free. I've been where you are dude. 😩😩😩😩😩

Thanks for posting. Well I didn't read all the comments but the EPS fuse is located behind the battery up near other fuse box left side if looking at it from the front.. I tool battery out to make it much easier. It is clipped into a hole in plastic, I had to pop it out of the plastic and moved up into open. Have photo if I am able to post.

Thank you very much for the information. At 101 miles same thing happened to me on a 5 hour ride and I was 1.5 hours into it. It was miserable considering I broke my shoulder a few months ago.. they are a beast to turn and drive without it! Will be checking that out today!

There was a recall to replace the power steering unit and wire harness in May 21. If you just bought one you shouldn't have the power steering failure issue.

Thanks for the post I will have to check that fuse because now that I think about it my power steering might be out too. It doesn't turn when sitting still. I wish there were more video and information about working on these on the internet like this video.

Good it was only the fuse. CF Moto is a good brand, but remember all brands and models have their issues.

There was a safety recall issued 5/6/21 on the 21 800XC manufactured before 12/26/20 to replace the EPS unit, wiring harness, and install new firmware to correct the power steering failure issue. Both of ours that we bought new in December 2020 were recalled.

Yeah I got my recall recently. Just have not done an update yet. Seems to have fixed the issue

What was the problem with the power steering that caused the recall? Did the power steering just quit working or did it pull to one side or the other?

Today I have same issue but if I off it it work for 4 minutes I will check tomorrow and see if it’s fuse problem

Yeah that's the problem I'm having I went to my local ATV parts store orps.They had a hard time even finding A oil filter for me. They did give me the right one but had to dig and they weren't sure if it was the right 1. Hopefully in a few more years this won't be an issue as they become more popular in my area. A lot of cfmoto parts matches up with Yamaha parts. I'm ok with that.

I am having this issue with my newly bought CForce 500s on Fb market place.Only had 3 miles on it.Did some Plowing and the steering was locking up on me.Gonna check the Fuse and see what happens.

Hi, I bought a CFMoto 600 two up in 2019, it only has 300 miles on it and the power steering went out, I took it back to the dealer and it has NO warranty left on it. So, now they are telling me its the power steering unit its self?? I just don't understand. After watching your video, I am trying to see if mine might have the same fuse, but so far I can't find it. I will keep looking. Thanks for your video..

Take fuse out. Replace with 40 amp circuit breaker.

That’s what I’m gonna do if I have trouble with my power steering but my fuse is located up to the right side of the battery standing from the front. Just purchased in January 2022 seems to be working fine. Been plowing snow with it. Has about 10 hours of runtime on it now seems to be working great. I also got the lava orange color it really pops.

Biggest issue is the power steering not working. Many people post about this mysterious defective fuse but no one is willing to take a picture of it to better explain where it is. My dealer wants to sell me a new EPS module at $500 with no guarantee that that is the problem! Machine plus plow= $10,000. I am 71 years old and am frustrated beyond belief, does any one know how to contact CFMOTO customer service?

I just got a terralander cf moto and the steering wheel is super hard. I thought it was missing lubrication or something. So this would mostly solve that issue? Turning is super hard. It is my first atv, so I thought it was normal that it would be a bit hard to turn, but noticed from other videos that it is supposed to turn with more ease.

Where watching, when i have oil pressure and eps lights? Sometimes it lightning(then eps doesnt work),and sometimes that issue going away. (sorry for my english). P. S before that was installed another mind(without speed limit) and was very dirty rideing.

@@ssdandp It wouldn't stay charged. And it would turn off when it idled....we ended up taking the battery out and putting it back in. So far it seemed like it worked

To be honest I had to take mine back to the shop originally because the harness comes zip tied to the side of the motor from the factory. When I bought it they forgot to cut the zip tie and move it up beside the battery which is where is should be

I got 3,000 miles on mine lost control of it the other day in woods pulling real bad and jerking to right. Tires good, new bearings, lugs good… think I need to install a new steering box 😫😫

I have a 2023 625 touring 3la model and the eps has stopped working. We changed the eps controller and the steering motor and it still doeesnt work. What else can we try??

I bought a 2020 800 xc cforce....all I have been trying to figure out is the passenger weight capacity for it. Manual, dealer, and manufacturer dont have this info. I want to take a passenger with me riding and she is a plus sized woman. What is the passenger weight limit on the 800s?

Total Weight Limit for the 800XC is about 480lbs so subtract your weight and that's passenger.......it will take more.

It just makes it really really stiff. But yeah you can get it home. We were probably a mile in the woods.

That's the relays. No fuses in there. They are in a small black box.

See above I mentioned where it is located.. Up behind battery left side if looking at machine by battery front. I would post a photo if I knew how.

Everybody love's these machines when they're new. After warranty runs out, it sounds like it's a coin toss on whether they're ok or garbage. I always found it odd these often come up for sale after they're about a year old. My parents had a cfmoto uforce and it was complete trash nonstop and they only used it to haul gardening tools and pull a small yard cart. Get what you pay for.

I'm on the fence with CFMOTO literally have that d*** thing wrapped around a fence. 4x4 and diff lock will not help in this situation.

That’s a bad idea if it is short it will burn the machine to the ground. They supply an extra fuse beside the fuse holder. They probably know people are gonna get stuck in the mud and play with the steering and blow the fuse they anticipated that problem already.

Wait till the cheap ass $2 plastic love joy spider connection breaks. Took me 2 hours to find the power steering motor. They want a $1000 to replace itBecause you can't buy just the part. You have to buy the entire EPS assembly. I don't think I will buy another CF MOTO

2018 500 back under seat by starter solenoid . less than 300 mile on this gutless turd .fuse didn't fix. yae me. I dont recommend these to anyone. and as stated in this video, good luck getting anything for a cfmoto off internet.

Bought new, 2017 cforce 800-2. Worst purchase I have ever made. Nothing but problems. I've owned it almost 4 years and have only been able to put 200 miles on it. Always broke down. EPS quit working, tail light filled with water, no longer works. electrical short almost caused a fire, winch rollers flimsy junk bend every time I use it, if parked on an incline can't shift out of park. Dealer is worthless. I hate this oriental POS. Hey CFMOTO are you listening? How about buying this thing back from me? Someone make me an offer, I need this thing gone! Still making payments on machine I can't use. Bought it to plow snow but there it sets.
