Hello, Technically it should be because there is a window then…However I think by mistake the notice has missed on pointing out for level 2 and instead shows level 3 options. I would highly recommend you mail the institute (now would be best cuz you will get a reply) to confirm before taking a step.

While I understand how severe your case might be I don’t think you’ll have enough documents to prove it ? You can take a risk with the medical certificate but I would suggest try mailing the institute and asking them before going ahead cuz the window left is too small.

Hello Aamir, As per what I have checked the schweser updated books won’t be out in local stores till August. However you can keep checking on Amazon and the moment you register for the exam you’ll have access to the CFAI notes

As per my knowledge...One attempt has only one deferral. However considering that the reason you will state is on the parametric...I would suggest you mail the institute ASAP and check. don't take a decision or any action prior that.

No such thing has been announced yet so I would recommend not to pay attention to it at all. Yes if you give time now you can still pull through for November 2024

If this is your first deferral then only the deferral amount + tax.

The website says the deferral can be done anytime till 28th May. So shouldn’t be a problem as such. Having said that keep trying before your exam time…it should reset

Hello Shruti, Deferral forms open just a few weeks before the scheduled exam so you’ll need wait till end of October or early November to defer

Yes you can defer it to November. You can defer it to either August 2024, November 2024, February 2025,or May 2025

Hello, The forms were to be uploaded post 7:30 Pm today so check now it should be there. Also, as per what I know and am aware of yes you can change your centre to HK. Having said that I would definitely recommend you double check with the institute by mailing them and have it in writing from them as well.

Hello. Did you confirm with the cfa institute, if you can change location after deferral?

If it’s the paid deferral it should happen immediately…Maximum within 24 hours it should reflect in your account as well. If it’s an emergency deferral the time frame can be very tricky and as per the website it can even go upto 7 weeks.

Anxiety issue are obviously there, and I am finding it very difficult, should I defer and save 40000 rupees.

Hello, Making a video might not be possible since at this point but sharing the detailed steps and link below:- 1. Go to Google and type CFA deferral 2. You’ll open to this www.cfainstitute.org/en/about/governance/policies/cfa-program-deferral-policy-faq 3. Go to log in and sign in to your account 4. Post that it’s self explanatory as there will be a form which you have to fill out and you’ll get a confirmation on mail along with all the next steps mentioned 5. The next steps is basically registering for the August attempt…If the deferral was done then on the checkout page you’ll see the final amount as 0

Hello Nandini, The September scholarship result usually comes out in December and the February 2025 registration closes on 7th. Therefore unless by a extreme rare chance that the scholarship result comes before 7th November you can’t get a scholarship for February 2025

As per what I know You should still be allowed to purchase it if the invoice is generated before…Having said that I do suggest you also mail the institute once to be 1000% sure

Registration opens on 9th May, 2024 and early bird shuts on 9th July, 2024. More than the material it’s how you study and use it. Many people don’t use that material and still pass so make sure your that your agenda at all times is to have you concepts clear and practise constantly

Unfortunately not much can be done…You can start studying with schweser 2024 and when the updated material comes you can double check if anything has changed too much

Only and only if you are 10000% sure that the emergency you have comes under the CFAI list of emergencies and only and only if you have proper documentation to prove that emergency should you apply for an emergency deferral. Because like you said they can take longer than 28th to get back and in the case that the emergency gets rejected you won’t get the paid deferral as well.

If you have paid the deferral fee then no more fees needed for that attempt

Yes! But take note, it decreases further chances of getting a scholarship because they feel you wasted the chance

The rule is you should have 24 months left to graduate so if it’s a 3 year course then whenever you are in the second year you can give CFA Level 1

Only after registration can you check for availability of centres

Hey Ashutosh, I never give study time in hours as I find it very superficial. Instead I would say set realistic weekly targets for yourself in a way that you have to finish that…Phir chahe it takes you 1 hour a day or 4 hours a day or just sitting 10 hours in one day. Specially more beneficial because you already have soemthing going on. I would also say considering you’re giving CA in November…Start now and increase focus post November. Subject sequence you can use: Fixed income Derivatives AI Economics Ethics FSA Equity Quants Corporate finance Portfolio management This is basically a mix of similar subjected together + Easy/Hard alternate.
