The best thing I find in this discussion, is that you never ask to share, subscribe etc it's just by highlighting a bell sound without interrupting the discussion. I really appreciate people who don't beg like others especially when viewers sole are connected with speaker/ topic while discussion. No fast talking, no loud advertising like others. Lean, slow and knowledgeable till last second of discussion. Such channels need 2 likes button for sure.

Hi Jenil, I am doing good and wish the same for you. Thank you for the compliment 🙏🏻 It has passingly crossed my mind but never really extensively taught of it. I think the fact that my CFA L2 got very delayed due to 4 covid deferral then the unfortunate situation in my L3 has really made me just want to first finish this, complete a few professional plans that I have and then maybe consider. P.s. if it’s abroad I’ll most likely consider masters and if it’s within India then maybe an MBA…Having said that these are no where my priorities or tbh anywhere in my list as of now at least.

Thanks for sharing such valuable info! I am currently studying for CFA level 1. I have done my graduation in Btech last year, I am somewhat concerned about job opportunities after level 1 because according to my mentors doing CFA+MBA is good option rather than just doing cfa alone and I am least interested in doing MBA. So is it that tough to bag a job after completing my level 1 as of now ?
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 2 месяца назад
Glad you liked the video 🙌🏻 There are honestly 2 sides to this coin…MBA after CFA or with CFA is preferred by some companies because it gives them the surety that you are good at management and ultimately soft skills as well. Having said that doesn’t mean that CFA alone will not take you places…Yes you won’t have placements so that struggle is there but once in it’s all about how you prove yourself. To be honest once you’re in the corporate life it’s your work that speaks not really the degree that you have. After level 1 it is not impossible to bag a job but yes the struggle to find it is definitely there.

@tanishka3338 3 месяца назад
Hello, In my opinion if you’re looking at CFA from an angle that the moment you do it people will immediately what to hire you then that’s not the case. But if you do it well…Then the knowledge will definitely able you to crack most of if not all interviews that you sit for and thus people will automatically want you in their firms. Also to add to it, the certificate is of very higher reputation in the finance industry and even otherwise so that’s an added advantage

Hello Neha, CFA will not help you get interview calls…the struggle to find a job like any other person will definitely still exist. However once called for an interview the things you learned in CFA, including having an analytical mindset will significantly push your chances of cracking the interview.

Hey, after my BBA if i cleared the CFA level 1 with average coding skills, Excel, power BI, financial modelling and valuation skills, Is it for real realistic to expect a job even after level 1? Do people get jobs after level 1? And What to expect a salary in Mumbai?
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 3 месяца назад
Yes you definitely can get a job after level 1. It’s not gonna be very easy since CFA does not have placements so that struggle to find a job is there but it definitely is available and in fact CFA Level 1 will help you in many ways to stand out. Average salary in Mumbai for a fresher with CFA level 1 can go upto 5 Lakhs (your soft skills can significantly increase or decrease this amount)

Hi, im currently a second year student of Psychology and have realised that I have interest in the field of finance. So should i prepare for cfa and take the leap. Would I be able to get a job in finance or considered as a viable candidate for jobs or should i just drop the idea of it? Your guidance would be highly appreciated.
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 5 месяцев назад
Hi Navya, If you are interested in finance and have realised that then it’s honestly the best time to take this leap. Won’t lie, finding a job will be a slight struggle because people will only see your Cv which will show psychology but if you don’t take this step you’ll end up in a field that you’re not passionate about and that too will not lead you in a good space. What can help:- Make your finance so strong that the moment you reach the interview they hire you…Which basically means the only struggle you will have is to reach till the interview stage which too can be navigated at least by 50% with a cover letter where you will pitch yourself and explain your story. So my suggestion would definitely be take the leap of faith because if you don’t you’ll live with a constant regret… Just remember if you can fail at what you don’t like then you’d rather fail at what you like 🙌🏻

CFA or for that matter any course as such will not be the reason for you to be called for a job that may be a small part of it but not the main reason. Hello maam Recently i have completed my 2nd year I want to persue CFA 1st option is that i complete level 1 in college itself and level 2&3 after college . After CFA take a gap year to prepare for CAT and persue MBA in finance 2nd option would be after clearing level 2&3 , gain some work experience of 1 or 2 years then go for MBA (becoz there are points for candidates who have work experience) Basically i want to ask whether i should gain some work experience before appearing for CAT or not
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 Месяц назад
Hello Ansh, For MBA it’s always best to have some prior work experience as it adds value to your enrolment and to your overall degree as well. Having said that it’s important you note that once you start earning and get a level of financial independence in hand it does become difficult to let that go. So train your mind before hand and if you feel it’s not something you can do and if feasible then complete MBA first and then go for a job directly because at least this way you’ll do what you want to do for sure

I had done my BCOM from DU regular college and then after i got my self enrolled in MCOM from BHU currently am in 2nd semester along with this am also preparing for CA intermediate exams, and i am planning to enroll for CFA in upcoming month. My view is to get a decent job in upcoming 1 or 2 years of time frame. Will it be viable decision to pursue CFA along with my master's and a professional courses and will CFA would be enough for getting a decent job ? Please di, i really needs your insights as my core field is finance only.
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 3 месяца назад
Hello, So to answer your first question of doing all three together…Is it possible ? Yes. Is it practical ? Not in my opinion….I personally feel it can get very hectic and this you mad end up messing something in between (however you know yourself better, so if you feel you’re great at multitasking then maybe possible). CFA will not be the core reason you get called for a job, the point is if you do it well then the chances of you getting selected after the interview increases purely cuz you have more knowledge. I would also like to suggest to rethink your why once again. Just piling up degrees will not lead to a great career. Yes more the merrier but in some cases it also shows confusion…CA & CFA are very different and I personally feel that just doing it one after the other without any reason will not be incrementally beneficial.

If you can start it now (you have to be honest with this in the sense that not even your MBA life is being compromised at all) then it’s great because it will add to your CV before placements. If you feel you’re not good at multitasking then definitely do it after because giving your 1000% in both courses is important if you want it to be fruitful for you

Hello Dipesh, Honestly giving a figure for anything is not the right thing cuz every company varies…But on an average around 10lakhs can be expected (maybe more if placements are great and soft skills are on point). Outside india the packages will be more but honestly getting a job without experience outside india is a very rare case scenario.

@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 6 месяцев назад
Speaking English (at least basically) cab be a requirement in some jobs (front end roles) but more than that it’s about expressing yourself and having confidence… I think for now you need to focus more on gaining confidence in talking to people (even if it’s not fluent English or maybe using hindi or another language). That would be a skill that will be needed more, you can start with having 5 mins conversations and starting conversations with people you know, if you see a good course, can join that too. I will also try to make some video or maybe a workshop on this soon 😊

I have cleared numerous NISM exams and I was a Topper in PG Diploma in Banking and finance. I do feel that if i study , I can Clear Level 1 of CFA .. not sure of other levels. Hello, You definitely should give it a try if you’re interested in the field (which it seems that you are) and if you’re sure you want to let go of UPSC (which again you are). I am a strong believer that we all know what’s right for us but are just too scared to take that step. However who knows that it would be that one step that changes your life for the better and one day you’ll thank yourself for taking that step inspite of all the fear. So definitely if you have the option don’t settle for something you don’t want for yourself (a sales job in this case) and give yourself a chance to do what you feel you’re good at and what makes you happy.

Try to get any govt job of any rank. After 5 years of gap and studying un-skilled based arts subjects, you will face Himalayan tasks to get any good private jobs. In the private world, you need to start from a very low level. Even after clearing CFA L1, which needs another mindset, time and money (difficulty apart), you will get a starting salary of around 4 LPA. Then you have to get a job after applying to different companies and have to face repeated rejections, forget about skeptical and obnoxious judgment from your co-workers. With this L1 preparation, you have to reskill yourself with advanced Excel, FM, SQL, Python etc etc, which will incur another round of cost and you will face challenges because of 5 years you only studied Lakshmi Spect Rao bullshit Vison (UPSC folks will understand) and only dreamed about good comfortable life with bossy attitude. I am not demotivating you but it is a reality in our overpopulated county, where the coaching industry is fooling us and every govt just overlooks this scenario. The rest depends on you. But remember you are not responsible for your pitty condition, the system is. BE HAPPY and STRONG.

Seeing that you have time, I would say start studying (even before registering for the exam) see in 2 months how you’re able to manage work and study, if it’s going nicely and smoothly then it’s better to stay back, if you feel it’s getting very hectic and it’s not suiting you and you have the means to leave then without any guilt leave and focus on the exam 😊

Hi Shubham, Few ways to look at it:- 1. You’re a fresher (if ever) and need to start somewhere to be able to get what you want…If the company you are being offered this job in, also has the role that you want then maybe join now and then internally keep your eyes open to switch (this is also highly recommended if you are in need for a job right now)… 2. You can take the job for now and keep applying on the side, if you are in a rush for a job 3. You’re in no rush, you are willing to wait and the company that has offered you this role does not have anything else that you relate to, then drop it and keep looking out for something else

Currently, I'm 19 years old, pursuing a BCom program from Delhi University, and will soon finish my second year. I'm confident about my L1 exam in August '24 and plan to take the L2 exam in August '25, which will be my final year (BCom is a 3-year program). After that, I'm a bit uncertain about what to do next. One option is to prepare for the CAT exam and pursue an MBA from a reputable school. Another is opting for jobs after L2 However, I've heard mixed reviews about the prospects of landing a high-paying and stable job with just a CFA L2 qualification, especially at a young age with no prior work experience. My parents are supportive and emphasize the importance of acquiring knowledge in the long run rather than rushing into a job. They believe that once you're entrenched in a job, it's harder to devote time to further studies or exams. So, I'm considering various paths: 1. Pursuing an MBA in Finance after L2 , via preping for CAT for a almost a year by sitting at home as a full time student 2. Exploring other certifications like CAIA, FRM, NSIM, etc to boost my CV 3. Looking for jobs after completing my CFA L2 exams. And highly unlikely, Should I go for the MBA directly after L1 i.e. preping for CAT in final year and postponing the L2. I'm open to suggestions and would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has any advice to offer. Your insights would be greatly appreciated!
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 2 месяца назад
Hi Raghav, Before I move on to my suggestions I really have to commend the clarity of thought you have at this age. While there is confusion of where to go the fact that you have multiple paths (great ones if I may add) chalked out, while also being aware of the pros and cons of most of it is brilliant 🙌🏻 Coming to next part, I highly agree to the fact that it does get difficult to manage studies and work so if logistically feasible it just makes more send or rather adds convenience if you can finish off one thing and then go the other. Also it becomes very difficult to let go of an income stream for studies if the time calls for it. Having said that I personally like your first plan with just one modification and that is to also finish level 3. Try to complete one thing in one go before going to the other as it really eases your burden plus has a complete back up in hand at all times. Path 2 is something I would personally completely scrap off. Purely because getting so many certifications may at times seem like more the merrier, but many times it also shows confusion. Additionally pilling on degrees/certificates just for the CV and with no actual agenda to go on that field isn’t very incrementally beneficial.
@raghavmaheshwari3160
@raghavmaheshwari3160 2 месяца назад
Thanks you for your valuable suggestions di ! I highly agree with your option of scrapping off the 2nd option. But there is one doubt I have ! So, if I decide to tackle the CAT before diving into L3, wouldn't that be a smarter move? Also, people seem split that L2 covers enough ground for the CFA making you ready for a job, suggesting I could wait until my MBA for L3 prep. Or maybe prep for L3 in my 2 year MBA ? (I'd be more mature by that time so wishing I can multitask and manage both of them 😂) What's your take on this?
@tanishka3338
@tanishka3338 2 месяца назад
@@raghavmaheshwari3160 yes you definitely can do MBA first that’s not going to be wrong in anyway and will have its set of benefits. Why I did suggest that though is sometimes continuity works brilliantly and many people tend to just leave l3 with the exact thought that you mentioned…While that might be true there is immense power in finishing what you start so before or after doesn’t matter but I definitely would recommend completing what you start (unless of course you completely have a different reason of wanting to let go). Personal tip: don’t compromise on the on ground events, activities, projects in your MBA school for CFA…The value those things hold is beyond what you can imagine at this point.

@@learnskills4270 can’t give you an exact figure because there is a lot that matters, more than clearing the levels…The way you will be able to interpret that knowledge and also it will depend if you get into a front end investment banking job or not. On an average cab exceed 20Lakhs, if you manage to keep everything good.

Hello, Only if you’re interested to get into finance will MBA in finance make sense. And if you are then it’s definitely a good profile, you may need to justify your shift in field but if you are able to present your interest that’s a very small problem.
