Oregon was the most complete team in college football. They had the best oline, the best running game, a top 5 quarterback, a top 5 WR, and a top 10 defense. Washington beat them twice. Hats off to Michigan but they don’t present anything that Washington hasn’t already dealt with. I got UW by 10

The fact that you just said Oregon, a fringe top 5 team at the absolute best, is the most complete team in the country is laughable. Washington is a poor man’s Ohio state ‘21 team, who Michigan beat by 2 scores on the road with largely the same roster with improvement at a couple positions. Keep dreaming big fella

You honestly believe that then I feel sorry for you… Michigan statistically in all categories besides total offense (70)they are 1-5 in all defense categories and 14 in scoring offense.. top 3 in turnover margin scoring defense is 1 penalties they are top 3… so idk wtf you are talking about

@hhsya426 lol. I'm no Oregon fan, but Oregon lost 2 total games by the same point differential that UT lost this game and UW probably should have beat Texas by 20. Oregon also controlled portions of both games. Oregon is better than both Alabama and Texas, and definitely OSU after that embarrassing game also. Not Georgia though

Washington has real trouble defending the run and Michigan has no problem running the ball down opponents throat, just ask Penn State. Michigan didn't pass the ball once against Penn State in the second half of that game and Corum put 145 yards on Penn State, the number one defense against the run. Washington is 41st against the run and I think Michigan will control the tempo and time of possession with the run game.

Washington beat Texas in large part with TOP - over 36 minutes. Michigan only game they lost TOP this season was Alabama and still won. Most prognosticators will have Michigan winning TOP. as an old Pac 8,10,12/Duck fan I have huge respect for Michigan's program; damn I remember Harbaugh's Stanford teams playing bruising, smash-mouth football with the best of 'em, so I knew he would succeed BIG time @Michigan...Michigan's favored for a reason, but I know he's not buying into this nonsense that Washington is "soft"...this Husky team plays a tough, physical brand of football while employing a lethal NFL caliber passing attack and their D gets stops when they need 'em (Trice is a beast); no team owns the nation's longest winning streak with a 9-0 record against ranked opponents including Oregon 3x and Texas 2x in essentially road games (Texas went into Bama's house and beat 'em both on the scoreboard and @LOS just like Michigan did) unless they get after it and know how to win - just like Michigan...the two best TEAMS in the country square off Monday night in what will be a terrific match-up for the title...think the Huskies win a close one...

Roman Wilson: 20-yd FD, 20-yd FD 29-yd contested circus catch FD, 4-yd TD. Dismiss him at Bama's peril (same re: Morris' TD). Blake's go-ahead TD vs. OSU and his game-winner Monday showed the same freakish jump-cut, gap-changing from last year. Corum felt different earlier in the year but I think he's himself again.

Such a contrast in styles the question is which defense will do a better job Michigan slowing down the passing game of Washington or Washington slowing down the Michigan run game no one has slowed down that Washington passing attack with a healthy pennix I like Washington 34-30

Washington defense gives you three results on drives. 3 and out with little time off the clock, 5 to 7 plays results in a TD with about 2 minutes off the clock or a 5 to 7 play drive resulting in a field goal with between 3 and 5 minutes off the clock. And that is agaisnt the top 5 offenses in college football. It's going to be a track meet.

Go watch Michigan play… they average 7-8 minute drives grinding and running if it is a track meet Washington wins 100% but Michigan isn’t that style

@@boschlosser10 I have seen them do this. But you don't get that from Washington defense. They give up TD drives fast. They either stop you in three plays or give you 5 to 6 and a TD. Texas was averaging 17 yards a run. Do the math. That's 5 running plays and you're in the end zone. Is Michigan willing to just get a first down and kneel just to stop the clock and "grind" it out? Go look at Texas, Oregon's, USC scoring drives and see the average time of possession. Less than 5 minutes. Oregon averages 14 yards a run play against Washington, USC 16 yards a run play. Washington in all three of these games won time of possession. Those are three of the best offenses in the nation.

@@owenjohnson5333i expect Michigan to play bend don’t break. they’ll force Penix to complete a bunch of passes underneath and rally to the ball. then they’ll stiffen up in the redzone. don’t be surprised if UW has lots of 4+ minute drives that end in FGs. and that’s exactly what Michigan wants. it won’t turn into a track meet unless UW gets up multiple scores early and Michigan has to abandon their identity.

Michigan has not played a top-25 offense all season. Alabama's offense only ranked 37th by yards per play. Half of Michigan's games have been against teams ranked 100-130 in that metric, while half of Washington's games were against top-25 offenses! I do think that Michigan's defense is great and that Washington's ranks in the middle, but Michigan's defense has not yet seen anything close to the challenge they face in Washington's offense.

Bama, Ohio State, and even Penn State all have statistically better defenses than Washington. Michigan will score 30 at a minimum. Alternatively, Michigan has *never* given up over 24 points this season. At best, Washington will push that number closer to 30, but I don't see UW winning this game without immaculate play on their part combined with uncharacteristically poor play on Michigan's part.

Busdy in the Washington hoodies is speaking like a true Homer. Corum has NOT lost a step. His numbers are down bc the O line isn’t as good and he’s the sole short yardage back this season. Dude clocked at 21+mph this season and is obviously still making tacklers miss in a phone booth. Also, Washington doesn’t have the studs Alabama has on defense. Michigan is going to run all over them and the tight ends will eat. Penix has to play a near perfect game for Washington to keep this one within 10pts.

Why does everyone want to talk about the offense vs Michigan I've heard it all season. How about we talk about the Washington defense or lack of it. Each team hasn’t faced a team like each other this year…100% but this Michigan team blew out an tOSU in Columbus that had Cj Stroud.. Wilson.. Olave.. Egbuka… and a very similar defense that tOSU had will be a great game no doubt… but Michigan won’t play man like Texas did.. that’s how they got beat all game can’t man up Washington they are too good to man them up! Can Washington stop Michigan run game as Texas has some success running and Michigan I clearly a better run team… if Washington can get up by 2 touchdowns in first half then they have a chance… if Washington is playing from behind it will be hard! Excited!

Oregon is pretry much the splitting image of Michigan as far as a front 7 and Utah is in terms of philosophy. Washington couldn’t be more prepared for Michigan. However, that doesn’t mean they can stop it because USC, Oregon, Texas ran the ball at will on Washington. However, I’ll tell you now if McCarthy doesn’t have a good game Michigan is toast. Those dumb gadget plays are not going to work. Michigan should win this game but they cannot turnover the ball. Washington isn’t 2021 Ohio State they and Ryan Day.

I watched the Oregon Washington game both games… and Oregon isn’t even close to what Michigan is… for you to say that is utter ridiculous Oregon beats with speed and scheme of 11 personnel Michigan if you watch tOSU and Penn state games they line up power on power and run it right at you… Penn state has the #1 run defense and they ran it on the 38 times in the second half and couldn’t be stopped if Oregon was the spitting image of Michigan they would be undefeated and in the playoff! Reading a lot of the comments here, it sounds like Michigan and their almost 20 NFL players and great coaching staff shouldn’t even bother going to Houston because apparently offense can always beat defense and Michigan has no hope of winning. Not exactly sure how Washington’s very average defense is going to stop Michigan’s balanced offense either but it doesn’t matter because apparently Washington is going to score 60 points on Michigan.

Buddy in the purple hoodie said it best. This is damn near the same defense and same secondary that played meaninful snaps that beat the cj stroud osu team with all those crazy receivers last year... and look what cj is doing in the nfl....except the difference is that osu team ran the ball better and played better defense than washington...This michigan defense as a team defense might be better too this year. Washington has their work cut out for them. I dont see them gettin away with a close win this time.

Michigan was built to stop the high flying ohio teams of 2021 and 2022. What did they have? Multiple elite recievers and an elite QB in a guy named CJ Stoud. The idea that Michigan has not seen anything like Washington's offense is laughable. They have seen it just a year ago with basically the exact same personel.

@@MW-ix1sn Was a good game, Mich was the better team tonight. Penix played his worst game since hes been at UW probably, having Dillon Johnson out pretty much the whole game didnt help either. Our defense stepped up after allowing 250 yards in the first like 10 minutes or something. Penix, odunze and plenty of other guys are still gonna have good Sunday careers. Sucks we werent that team tonight.

Michigan is #1 in total defense and #2 in pass defense. And #1 in scoring defense. Texas is 113th in pass defense. All games are about matchups. Texas didn’t match up well against Washington because they are not a great pass defensive team. And yet they still were in a position to beat Washington at the end of the game. No disrespect to Washington but Michigan is not going to be nearly as easy to score against as Texas was. Washington won’t score over mid 20s. Partly because Michigan will control the game offensively. And Washington will have fewer opportunities to score. Washington is not a top 25 defense. They rely on out scoring other teams. Not this championship game. Michigan 38-24

Oregon was for sure a tougher team than Texas to for WA and still got it done twice. Texas brought a crazy good d front tho and we showed how Penix can control that, plus their pass defense stats do have a lot of points from garbage time w teams tryna catch up. Mich defense is gonna be the biggest test this year but you won't be able to stop Penix from scoring plenty. Mich should hope they can slow him down enough to give JJ a chance in a shootout. WA wins 28-24

Watched the Michigan vs Maryland game. Why? Bcuz that's the only game that Michigan played a quality QB in Tags. Tags wasn't special that game as he missed many throws that Penix wouldn't. I thought Wallace & Johnson, their Cb's were just average. Got beat on numerous throws. Penix can expose those 2 and Mike S. Missed a throw and then took a sack, fumbled and Michigan recovered for a TD. Michigan needed 2 safeties, a fumble for a TD, made 2 4th downs including one on a ticky tack PI call. Michigan has a great D but against what QB's? McCord missed throws and OSU lost by 6. The kid from PSU is erratic and often just stinks!. Michigan's secondary can be exposed, especially on 1 on 1 battles. Bama was an overrated Bama team. We can agree with that. Ohio St. is very good but their QB isn't all that. So who did MIchigan really face? Washington did beat Oregon 2x, beat a solid Texas squad and we'll see what happens. I do believe Michigan backers are in for a shocker. Just like all those Oregon and Texas backers.

I like how everyone thinks Michigan can't throw the ball. They have a lot more offensive talent then Texas and a better QB. Michigan I think will put up 45 on the Huskies. You should be be discussing how washington is going to keep up with Michigan.

Washington’s defense is by far and away the worse defense in the playoff. Michigans is the best. And corum is the same corum. They don’t run like they did last year. If they choose to this game they run for 250-300 yards

Watched all their games in the last two days… Penix best game by far was the Texas game he was more on point then than ever… lot of miss throws and not same page with WR’s in the other games I watched… but he was beyond perfect vs Texas who played man all game… which you can’t do against them… Michigan only plays man in red zone if you watch film for most part!

MIchigan seeing Harrison is true but who is tossing him the rock? lmao McCord, the new Syracuse QB. Wr's are dependent on a QB that can lead them, get the throw to the right shoulder, away from the db, etc. McCord can't do that effectively, thus Harrison's talent was diminished. Michigan faced one good QB in Tags and they did NOT look that good at it. That is the only comparison to judge Michigan on. Milroe isn't in Penix class. McCord? lmao.... Allar from PSU? MIchigan is fantastic against average QB's and average OL's. Now they step in class that they haven't seen all year. That's NOT an opinion. That is a FACT if you know QB skills and the Big 10 didn't have them. McCarthy is the best QB in the Big 10. Look at the Maryland game. Johnson and Wallace aren't that great.

Dear Lord, I don't know who you people are.. but once again you and people like you , you have no idea about Michigan footbal. And the guy in the middle? JJ is by far better on the run passing the ball than standing in the pocket. The last half of the season, I've been correcting so-called football analysts and their ignorance about Michigan football. Between j j's passing and Our running game Washington has no chance. Michigan will win by at least 10 and probably a lot more. Take it to the bank !! This will be my last slap down talking about Incompetent football analyst.

Played best offenses?? Really 😂😂 Defense wins championships chump, not your bullshit passing game that will be devoured by the Michigan secondary. Michigan faced and beat 3 of the 5 best defenses. Washington hasn't faced a top 12 defense at all. Which makes your O-line and entire team suspect. Washington stands no chance against a real team with the best defense

Washington doesn't even have the type of coach that's meant to win natties. Natty winning teams have household name coaches, the best recruits, the most dominant season, and Washington doesn't have any of that while Michigan does. Washington is literally the type of team that's meant to be the sacrificial lamb for a team getting ready to roll them over to prove their greatness. They shouldn't even be there due to a couple of super lucky very close upset wins. The law and the rule of how this works says Washington loses. Guaranteed blowout loss for Washington. Mark my words.

No Dillon WA has zero chance aside from Michigan turning the ball over time after time like at TCU. Tx fumbled twice that is why they lost, aside from a crap secondary. Michigan will be 7 point favs by Monday or more. The PAC is a complete joke for defenses. Penix and Bo dont have those numbers in the B1G or SEC.

The B10 is a complete joke for offenses if we’re gonna say whatever we want. UCLA had a top 15 defense in the nation. Utah & Oregon St play defense. Also, it’s not easy to play defense when you have 6 NFL bound QB’s in conference and WR’s all over the place. Michigan should win this game and I pick them to win but statement like that are ridiculous.

Jayden Daniels & Jaxson Dart couldn’t get numbers and lost their starting jobs in the Pac and put up monster numbers in the SEC. Watch what USC Wash Oregon do to team like Iowa, Mich St, Minn, Illinois that claim to play defense next year.

@@Drummajortsu Iowa, PSU and OSU and UM have elite level defenses. MD and others have very good ones. Easy top put up numbers against JV teams. How did Penix do at Indiana? How did Bo do at Auburn? There you go. Listen and learn youngster. They both had to run for their lives every game and Penix paid the price with multiple injuries. The PAC has been a JOKE on D for YEARS. This is nothing new. Caleb won the heisman last year and got exposed (CJ should have won it). Daniels did the opposite and went into the fire (SEC) and properly won the heisman. So when you watch Corum run right thru the front of WA, along with JJ torching their secondary (and everyone is talking about Penix ffs).....ok. And let me introduce you to Jesse Minter.
