Didn't hurt that BC has no running game to speak of... pinning your ears back and rushing Adams on every down makes for a productive night for the Winnipeg defense.
Montreal is clearly a better opponent for Winnipeg after that East Final. Their defense is elite, the offense not too bad, and Toronto clearly can’t perform when it matters. I feel bad for BC since I thought they’d be better, but congrats to Winnipeg and this is gonna be a fantastic Grey Cup game!
You thought BC was better than Wpg. Winnipeg beat them 2 games of 3 in regular season and smoked them at that. They are pretty evenly matched but Wpg's running game is far more superior, best in the league. I don't know where you get your stat. info. from.
@@WayneKenny-uw7rh they only smoked BC in the 2nd matchup, and that was because BC had backups playing. The 3rd game went to OT so Winnipeg definitely didn’t smoke them there. Did you even watch the games or just the highlights
I knew just looking at them before the opening kickoff that the BC players weren't ready to play in the cold weather. This game was lost on character. They were dominated on the offensive and defensive lines. And there were too many times where the BC defense went into a tackle half-hearted where the pile ensued instead of a take-down, and Winnipeg pushed the pile for another 5 or 10 yards with some of those times leading to a touchdown. It was tough to watch.
Speaking for those of us who were unable to watch live, sure wish the CFL would stop telegraphing the outcome of each game by showing a photo of the winning team carrying the ball in the thumbnail. Keep the potential viewer in suspense and make them watch to learn who won.
I want the Bombers to make it 3 in four seasons, but Montreal will be a tough task for us and are not to be taken lightly. Grey cup 110 will be a banger and I can't wait!
The look on Coach O'Shea's face was like, 'I can't believe I have to do this'. I love the CFL, but this is what makes it hard to defend it to my family and friends who say the NFL is better.@@taylorwoolston8856
I think the key to winning the grey cup next weekend is Montreal should be chasing the game the whole time. The bombers should have a two score possession lead the entire game (10 points or more) if they can run up the score that will be terrific. The bomber's can't keep them in the game, because that can change quickly, if the bombers have a chance to score touchdowns or field goals they need to do so, because BC could have won if one or two plays went their way. I think that is what cost us in last years Grey Cup game against Toronto.
that hail mary from BC was the only major they got the whole game. That says something about Wpg's D line. Bombers off to the Grey Cup for the 4th time!!
@@joshname4485 As Bombers fans we also enjoy seeing all you passionate Riders fans cheering every single game, and your propensity to use watermelons as clothing. Of course you didn't hear that from me...
I hate how the Riders feel the need to beat us every Labour Day. Bad enough you murdered the founder of our province, you don't need to reenact it every year.
@@themanyshadesofus7763 it's the one position that band wagon bomber fans have no patience (or understanding) with. Miss a kick or two and they want to hang them
@@jokojabo Defence will win the game, whoever causes the most turnovers will be Grey Cup Champs. The points will probably be mostly field goals, I predict 23-16 Winnipeg.
The *Grey Cup* will now be the battle of 2 former Rider QB's. Riders always seem to get rid of good players but never bad management. At the end of this season the Riders fired their head coach Craig Dickinson. That is not going fix anything. Mark my words 2024 is going to be just another dismal year as 2023. A win by either QB will show the Riders how bad their management really is. When will they learn?
Both defences were good. Both offences struggled but Vernon Adams couldn’t adjust to the blitz , looked like he was in fear unable to make reads and didn’t use his legs to get out of the pocket. Bombers had a bad game by their standards but no trouble beating the Lions. The CFL officiating was poor missing many calls. The blocked punt was clearly roughing the kicker, hit him spun him around, no call, Bomber touchdown. Montreal will get much of the same treatment and if Collaris is on, it will be Bombers Grey Cup.
My concerns about Castillo seem justified...I hope he got all the bad kicks out in this game because it may come down to a field goal in the Grey Cup. We can't count Montreal out, they did succeed in knocking off Toronto, a better team.
What a joke, Winnipeg should trade their quarter back to a towel boy, they basically doing the same thing. Don't know how to throw the ball and 30 seconds in the pocket and yet still cannot find a receiver.
