I know I am biased as a Canadian, but damn the CFL has such better mechanics than the NFL. I think the NFL is really nice because it's a bigger game (number of teams, fanbase, top-tier athletes, etc.), but I think the CFL with its pre-snap motion freedom, wider and longer field and end-zones, line-of-scrimmage rules, and rules such as this make for a much more interesting sport from the point of view of variable strategies. It's like a perfect marriage between its ancestral rugby football and NFL football. But of course, all three of these 'footballs' are great in themselves.
Great series of videos every CFL coach should show their team at the start of each season or whenever a new American is signed they should have to watch it. CFL a more pure game, closer to original rugby.
Oh shit, that's a spectacular rule that I had no idea about. We need this in the NFL. The referee accents are so great too, it's like I'm watching hockey but it just happens to be football
Not every receiver or running back can punt a football. It takes a special skillset to kick the football with backspin, placement and hangtime kicking the ball.@@johncarolina4950
In order for all of this to work you need endzones that are 20 yards deep and the goal posts on the goal line. Of the 30 NFL Stadiums, 29 of them would not be able to handle this an no renovation would be able to make it work. The only stadium I can see this work after probably would be a 1 bn renovation is Soldier Field.
If the Calgary/ BC game is the one I'm thinking of, Calgary got jobbed big time. In fact, we found out later that they had even told the officials ahead of the play to watch for them lining up onside. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes, but things were not friendly between the Stamps and the refs back then. Calgary got penalized a lot, and things got so heated that one player bowled over an official that was blocking his route.
So if you're familiar with my channel you've probably seen some of these clips before and might be tired of seeing them over again. I'm trying for this to not be the case but this has been a heavily requested video and there is overlap with other topics in these examples. I'll try to showcase more new clips in future videos.
@@cflhighlights9370 why should I? There's no reason for it. You have not so much to work with so yeah, sometimes some clips might appear in more than one video.
Kinda wish we could add Dominon Championship with the Grey Cup as well, as it starts in 1884 to 1908 (wish it could be 1880, but before 1884 it's just single games instead of a season or so) and adds a Montreal V Toronto game (Montreal Football Club beats Toronto Argonauts in 1884) Yet it doesn't add much more and likley why Grey Cup is on its own starting at 1909 (kinda wish it was 1920 to skip WW1 and the Rugby debate in 1919 and if 2020 were to be 100th Grey Cup, that given more fight to having a season that year) so oh well. Just keep in mind everyone... 😊
Forgot this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I2uPHdevC0s.html Someone on Twitter posted the link to this video, whoever it was thank you very much! Glad you found it helpful!
Ok.. So a No yards penalty is like the old Halo rule. You have to give the PR room to field a kick since punt/kick team can't down the ball.. unless you're behind the punter or place kicker.. is that right?
