A lot of these young men eventually go to NFL, so you get luxury of seeing them develop. Warren Moon, Theisman, Flutie started out. But it’s not bush league, or colledge by any means. IT’s Canadian rules professional football. It is a smaller league in teams and population, but game is not small. We have snoozers too, bad calls, too many flags, but when it’s good, it’s really good
I’m actually a Colts fan. I remember first seeing Chad play in 2019 for the Colts. That was the year Andrew Luck retired. He started a few preseason games. I just remember thinking how similar he looked to Andrew playing the game. So I was very disappointed when the Colts decided to anoint Jacoby Brissett as the starter for the season. So it’s great to see him succeed in the CFL..I’m sure his phone will be ringing next year from the NFL. I can definitely see him getting a starting gig.
Moving the hashmarks more towards the centre if the field was also a huge game changer for the league. 9 yards apart instead of 17 benefits the offences
Another EXCITING CFL GAME! Toronto was in tough against the Stamps but never gave up and found a way to win like what a championship team does. So nice to see their stadium with a lot more fans compared to previous seasons.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, special teams is just as important as offense and defense. The difference in the game was a punt returned for a touchdown.
That pass over the middle was NOT a catch! Torontos bend but don’t break defense last night turned into break and bend. Kelly showed that he losses it when he’s frustrated but as a sign of maturity he was able to get his composure back and the special teams bailed them out. Great game! I was yelling at the tv! Lol😂
No… and I say this with love. I grew up in Canada. Been to McMahon stadium dozens of times. Watched Flutie and Smith live in their prime. CFL is entertaining. Then you get to go to an NFL game and you realize the truth… it’s just. Bigger. Faster. Louder. More talent in the NFL… And again, I’m not a CFL hater.
The CFL is the better entertaining gridiron football game on the planet that hasn't been corrupted by money, cheating scandals, hype or tribalism. I use to love the NFL before it changed for the worse@@NOTLeavingLV
Well no it's not. That's like saying MLS is better than Premier League but that doesn't keep fans away. The point is no MLS fan, say, compares them when they go to a game. Why we do that with the CFL is frustrating.
Argo defense- Coach, we wanted to tackle the guy with the ball but it was hard. Argo secondary - Coach, we didn’t wanna let anybody behind us, but it was hard. Chad Kelly (at end of year) - Coach, I want to stay one more year at least, but the NFL has come calling.
@@HumanBeanbag Not Canadians, other teams get good crowds, but Toronto gives their Argos no love despite them being 18 time champions. Tonight's crowd was decent, almost 18 thousand but otherwise only the small group of diehards are there, myself included.
As an Alouette fan, I would say great game by the Argonauts. Good crowd enthusiasm. Embarrassingly small crowd. The last game I went to in Toronto was 39,000 in SKYDOME. Montreal won.
@chrisk475 The majority of TVs in Toronto bars are tuned into BORING baseball. As exciting as watching grass grow. I can't watch baseball for that reason. Football is the ultimate strategy game and the CFL with its big field and excellent talent is way more exciting.
Brian you are so right, but Canadians seems to love all things American, our football brand is a lot better than theirs, I believe that the National government should find a way to open it up to our youth, thats why we have C B C, it should be shown free of individual cost, Let them pay for U S football.
You're both wrong. It has nothing do with American content. It's because the leagues showcasing the best players draw the biggest audiences. It's human nature. The CFL is not recognized as world class or major league.
@@cortwrightliving1754 CBC used to show CFL, but would only show certain games, not to mention, at the time home games were blacked out if no sellout. CFL was to blame for the blackouts though. With TSN every game is televised. Better that then only a few random games being shown.
@@josephtemple1667 Right. And they had a huge stadium which was difficult to sell out, so almost all if not all of the home games weren't televised. So, you could only watch half of the season. I remember being in Edmonton when the West Final was playing and it was blacked out. Even a playoff game, which was ridiculous. And in Saskatchewan they blacked out the whole province. At the time I lived about a five hour drive to Regina and couldn't watch home games.
