I am an NFL fan who have been watching the CFL games this year. Wow! I have not been disappointed. The CFL games are faster and more exciting. This appears to be the case for almost every CFL game. The level of player skills for both leagues are about the same. The NFL is a larger league due to the seasonal weather advantage as Canadian winters an be brutal for outdoor sports. Hopefully, the CFL will market itself towards more teams near their southern border. As an NFL fan I can say that the CFL is the greatest show on turf. I'm a CFL fan as well - wish more games were televised.
Thanks for the support. I watch both leagues but I love our Canadian game with it's bigger field and different rules. Especially the overtime rules because both teams actually get to play overtime. I think the NFL could spend a bit of time watching and then copying some of the CVFL rules. BTW we also have bigger balls.
@@SirLionofBiff I'm sure that it was a typical typing error. I was never good at typing, which is now known as texting since the keypad itself hasn't changed! The person, I'm sure, meant NFL. And many times, when we text, the "brain" in our devices attempting to "correct" us when we're attempting to express or explain something that we're typing on the keyboard pads and when we read over it and send it, we tend to come off to the readers as an idiot because it appears that we have no idea what we are talking about. It's happened to me many times, but in this case, it was probably just a typing error. ✌️
Blue Bombers vs Riders. Does not matter the standings, always a classic. Hope the Riders can repeat this week. The Bombers lost the Grey Cup on a single. And this game on the same field by two singles. I love the CFL
Well, there was another example of the greatness of our cherished CFL. What a thrilling game by two teams who wanted it so bad. The fans in Sask are the best in Canada. They deserve to leave their beautiful stadium with a confidence that they have a contender. B.C. vs MTL yesterday was a fine game. This one was GREAT!
@@FischerFan The most watched, most closely followed gridiron football in the world is college football. Are those the best players in the world? And the CFL is certainly second to the NFL, there is no league between them. The rules and the pitch are very different in the CFL and the two biggest knocks I hear is that most games are boring blowouts and that no lead is ever safe because you can score so many points so quickly. I was merely pointing out that this particular game was as good in a competitive sense as any NFL game. If you don't like CFL football then by all means, don't watch it. But, I struggle to understand why you'd come here simply to knock it. Seems like you were watching it.

Earlier in the game I saw Collaros head butt a rider albeit much more gently. It was pay back . I wish it didn't happen it was bush but in the heat of the moment stuff happens

Demski made a fantastic one handed catch at the end of the 2nd quarter followed by a great TD catch by Wolitarski. I am surprised that Oliver’s did not run the ball on the last play of the game on the two point conversion

No the stupid penalty by Robertson kept Winnipeg in the game. I like Pete but that was a bonehead move that could have cost the game and I hope he learns from it.
I was at this game....what an atmosphere....but you would expect nothing less for Labour Day. But..seeing how Dolegala played here and now knowing that the Riders let him go and kept Mason Fine......truly disappointing move by O'Day.
I mean the headbutt was definitely unnecessary and illegal, he got the penalty. Collaros definitely flopped on it, that's why it took them so long to call. Winnipeg was flipping and crying to refs all game. That's why they win so much, biggest ref budget in the cfl.
@@catf8435Must have missed a payment to the refs when Collaros was hit in the head and knocked out for almost two games. Or when Jefferson grazed a QB’s helmet and was flagged for RTP. Winnipeg rarely has a questionable call go their way.
Earlier in the game Zack headbutted Moncreif and wasn't flagged for it. Maybe if he can't handle getting it he needs to stop dishing it out. Collaros is a loud mouth goon and you seem to be OK with that.
@@TimDyck Tapped helmets … both of them, as they exchanged words. Robertson’s exceedingly aggressive hit was about 10x as hard and totally one sided. Nothing the rest of the country doesn’t expect from a Rider, just as your support of that action is totally expected. Dickenson either has no control over his team, or he actively encourages this kind of behaviour.

The headbutt didn't look that bad. I don't think Robertson hit collaros as hard as collaros fell. I think collaros was trying to get a penalty called. A.k.a...dive. but that's my opinion. Those helmets are designed to take big hits. That headbutt was a love tap.

I don't care how hard, just head to head contact after the play on the quarterback, any league, any year and it not be a major, suspendable act. I have watched football for 55 years and I have never seen a hit on a quarterback after the play directly to the head like that ever.

When you're standing on the top or you become very good at your craft, you carry a target 🎯 on your back because so many desire to possess the same things that you have or they're trying to take what you have when they possess less, so in this case, Winnipeg being the better team, everyone else is stepping up to try to play at that level of intensity and strength to knock them off that pedistal for their spot on the top! And it was almost taken away from Saskatchewan because of a Personal Foul from the Headbutt by a player who momentarily "Lost His Head," no pun intended, due to overexhuberance of emotions! But the RoughRiders still prevailed in this VERY EXCITING CFL Holiday Battle!! Loved the highlights of the game!! GO RIDERS!! 😄😄😄

Rider defender had one of his arms wrapped around the Winnipeg player, which could be argued that prevented the Bomber from getting to the ball. Thus, PI. - says a Rider fan.
I was sad to see my team lose, but, it was a great game. That said, the officials need a lot of work. The vicious head butt should have been an ejection, and, the riders 2 point convert in OT was actually clearly trapped on the turf, and should have been an auto booth review. On to the BB!
All scoring plays are automatically reviewed and I slowed down the footage and he had control of the ball before it touched the turf. He had a hand cupped under one end of the ball and had it secured with the other. It was just close enough. Pause it right at 11:36. He has two hands on the ball before he touches the turf.

There are 2 errors they missed: 1. SSK could have had a TD but refs took it away. If challenged, looks like refs overturn and count it 2. There was a 2nd and Goal play that had the QB just tucked in the ball and try to run in for a TD it might have been a success. Instead they pass and fail. I think they got a successful FG but which QB of which team? Anyone remember?
@@brentchapman1958 so it be another Winnipeg TD if successful on 2nd and Goal (seems QB had the chance). If so and assuming that after each TD they go for 2PC and get it too (although in reality 2PCs are 50/50), Winnipeg wins w/o OT with at least 3 points :o

As a Cfl fan, the CFL overtime rules are good, but they need a 10 minute ot period because games without an ot clock is exhausting and also it would be best to start a kickoff in ot. (If the team that received the football gives up a rouge or a safety on a kick off, game over. If the offence scores a touchdown, they could choose the easy way or the hard way,(PAT of 2 point conversion) and the other team has to match it if down by a touchdown and an extra point or go for it all if they are down by 8. Defensive pick six or fumble for a touchdown after the offence chose the ball first, game over. If both teams match the number of points, we play on until the final play of the game. After both teams match, if the kicking team kicks the ball in the end zone, game isn’t over because the other team can win with anything, lose on a turnover or tie with a rouge on a punt or missed field goal on the last play of the ballgame.
I take it back, the team scores a rouge on the first kickoff in overtime, the other team can match it with a rouge, win with a field goal or a touchdown, or lose with a turnover.
Riders win: closely contested. Riders lose: absolute blowout. They've had one close loss, and their best win was like 5 points. Just a very average team that will probably make the playoffs but lose early. Their consistency is TERRIBLE.
Riders fans “Great game. A classic “ = We won. That game was horrible. Bombrs were brutal. Sask was holding, Pass interference all game long, face masks, head butt, roughing after the play COUNTLESS times with a Bomber on the ground. Refs were brutal. And Dolasga. Can he do anything other than throw it 5 yards in the flat? Can the Bombers not figure that out? Does Mike O Shea gave a challenge flag?
Yea well, when ever we blame the refs, everyone just says we're sore losers. Guess that means Bomber fans are too. Refs punished the Riders a ton. Robertson included. Also, your team gave up two Rouges. If the Bombers didn't give up the second one at least, the Robertson penalty would have won them the game. Be mad at your coaches if anything.
If the refs or command Center saw the guy use the turf to secure the catch you wouldn’t have won either. If the refs or command centre saw the countless pass interference on Bomber players it wouldn’t have gone to OT. If the Wpg coach would throw a challenge flag ONCE in the game. If the returner wasn’t retarded and let 2 balls go over his head. If… I HATE STUPIDITY
