There is road construction which made accessibility to downtown Toronto a nightmare and Google weather was extremely misleading that it said that its going to be extreme rain. That's why many people didnt show up on what ended as a great night.
There's a lot of talk about putting a spring football team in Toronto because of the sparse crowds. I don't know how profitable is would be for Dani and Dwayne, but it's an interesting idea for sure.
No punt snaps again lol Come on. Julien and Haggerty are two of the best to do it. Haggerty had 2 inside the 10 yard line and all 6 of his punts were over 50 yards and not 1 was highlight worthy? Figure it out.
TSN's has been using game time to do interviews and special features. Instead of play calls, They are doing this so they can jam in a few more commercials. It sounds so totally unprofessional. That's why you are hearing some nobody calling that Argo touchdown. TSN, this practice sucks.
as a Brazilian fan of the CFL it breaks my heart to see the stadiums mostly empty. games are wildly entertaining and players keep delivering high-level football for no one to watch.
This will be Toronto 4th straight winning season and team average attendance is less than 9-000 Think people in Toronto have made it clear that they don't care about the cfl. I must say Toronto was averaging over 20 000 fans when the team was playing at Rogers center So maybe the Argos should move back to Rogers center they will over 20k fans per game
@@freedom1028 the CFL is very much alive if tv ratings are a metric to go by. the thing is, how do you get people to stop being lazy and go to the stadium? I don't know how it works in Canada, but here in Brazil in order to encourage stadium attendance live broadcast is not allowed in the same city as the home team.
Great game!! Even though Edmonton didn't win, I think that was their best game in a long time. I'm sure they are frustrated, but after a game like that, I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You looked great Edmonton!! 🇨🇦
The CFL and the UFL need to unite if it can work in the NHL why can’t it work for a spring football league keep the field and the ball from the CFL move the uprights to the back of the end zone scrap all the whacky rules in both leagues and play football wider field would make it a field day for running backs and smaller de’s and dt’s
actually drives me nuts how all that good of football Toronto can play almost every second or third season consecutively and just go on to win the east and then the grey cup, then they go dead last for maybe one season in the east. its like there due every 4-5 years min. And yet, none of them torontonians wanna go to these games. Not to mention how hella tight the stadium looks, it seems legit. Am I missing something here? the stadium is new. Why do you neglect a winning franchise? like the most consistent dam team in that province and it looks like dawg shite in the stands? what gives toronto 😒😒, Bless up to the die hards we see showing up though.
Good gracious the crew had a lot of calls/non calls overturned on review. And I saw a few holds that were missed as well. Not a good look for the stripes.
@@teo_heel The pass interference on a non-catchable ball, for starters. After that, you can see holding happening on key plays, right in front of the ref. It's an epidemic in CFL and NFL to let certain teams/players succeed. Same as NBA with the travelling.
@@TheHilltopPillbox The pass interference? Yeah, I know what play you're talking about... but I disagree that it was a bad call. Defender just didn't let the receiver a chance to even reach that ball. Holdings... yeah, sometimes it seems that you can do a bit too much and be caught.
@@teo_heel This is what I don't get. The camera is on the same side as majority of people. It makes it look worse than it is. Not that I'm saying it's good, but the cameras somehow make it look worse.
Yeah, but I've read that before the game there were scares about thunderstorms in the area, so yeah... People might not be interested in coming to the game because of that.
@@superafinsno it's because Toronto is filled with immigrants who do not care for Canadian sports. It's also a reason why community sports are dying in Canada
@@superafins I mean, Argos for sure are bad. Elks are bad for obvious reasons, results are not helping at all. Lions had a sellout, Als had a sellout, Winnipeg had two 30000+ games. Saskatchewasn for sure will have more than 30000 fans as well. CFL is doing okay in terms of attendance.
Big drop in attendance from last week. Doesn’t make sense considering how much this was promoted as pride night. Also, without a helicopter, getting there 7pm on a Saturday, far too much work.
Toronto is such a disappointment. The crowds they get are beyond embarrassing. Long past time to move the team to the maritimes where it’ll be appreciated. Imagine how bad it must be for the Argos players😔
Let me help. There's no stadium or prospective owner in the maritimes, otherwise they would have had an expansion team years ago. There has to be a team in Toronto, or the CFL can't survive. It's the largest market, by far, in Canada. Therefore if they hope to get any kind of decent TV deal, which is the largest percentage of their overall revenues, they have to have a team in Toronto. No matter how bad attendance is, as long as there is a CFL, there will always be a team in Toronto.
Edmonton needs to have another name changes the Elks are winless ---how about the Edmonton Explosion or Edmonton Expanse (for all the open area in Edmonton )
Supposed to be a National Broadcast but Notice how the Toronto Homer announcer can't help himself as he tells you how Edmonton benefitted from the PI Call from the Video review to score a TD but never mentioned how Toronto benefitted from the same situation TWICE and scored TWO TDS from those calls... CFL is such low budget and 2nd rate!
Time for the CFL to close up shop, the attendance is worse than a UFL game, been to high school games with more people watching; Toronto get your NFL team.
I agree they should just have Canadian teams in the NFL like the MLB, NHL, NBA, and MLS the audience is just not big enough to be their own thing other games do get decent attendance but for some reason toronto always get poor attendance
