If someone told me Edmonton and Winnipeg would have the same record after 4 games, I would’ve thought the Elks were much improved from last season. 🤷♂️
Great game. I do feel sorry for both Winnipeg and Edmonton, to lose games so close. A lot of it is timing, who ever has the ball last seems to win. I do love the CFL. 🇨🇦
@@a-dawg8711 it is. CFL is not known for long field goals mostly because a miss can end with a huge return or even a TD. But Blue Bombers needed to score and they took the risk and the wind was helping them.
Despite the low score I watched this game from start to finish and holy crap it was exciting. Props to Calgary for not collapsing despite allowing the late TD. Always happy to see Winnipeg suffer as a Riders fan
@@Bomber_Boi Roughriders were stuck at 6 wins after they won a -Liberty- Labour Day Classic game against Blue Bombers and Calgary managed to win two in a row with three games left (one against Roughriders and one against Lions) to make playoffs.
Thanks CFL team, boy, the Bombers are starting to remind me of the defunct Patriots dynasty. A couple of injuries and trades and now they're tied for last !
Winnipeg taking the knee hurt them, 3 points allowed taking the knee. Last punt, you can hear them yell "Get it, Get it, Get it" Waiting for the bounce out, but with that Calgary kicker, the odds are low of him kicking it out. Could have squeezed a W possibly if they attempted to get it out, but Calgary did awesome keeping them in the end zone.
Last single was necessary. Calgary was doing an onside punt with two players being behind punter and eligible to receive the ball with no penalty. So if not for people screaming at Chris Smith, Calgary might've scored a TD on that play.
Thanks bro, I watched that play again and you can even hear the announcer talk about the two players. Was a good game, Kickers paradise. Had Calgary by 3 in Regulation lol @teo_heel
@@RedCrucesignatus I was watching the full game and someone was screaming ONSIDE all the time before the punt happened. People were trying to help Chris Smith (who is new to CFL) not to make the mistake.
@@coleslaw9748 Lawler is injured, Schoen is injured as well, Keric Wheetfall (who replaced Lawler and had a pretty good game against Redblacks) is also injured. Blue Bombers signed Lucky Whitehead to have an experienced receiver in the roster (with Demski and Wolitarsky, others are rookies).
Winnipeg is so unlucky. So many injuries and Collaros couldn't play in the 2nd half. And Streveler looked... okay, but I guess that he needs lots of passing practice to get the rust off.
As a Stamps fan.... this is definitely a stunner. But they made it an ugly game which is right in their wheelhouse. But wow Winnipeg has went from first to worst.
@Justin-ij7qi Brah, the NFL sucks. Every team runs the same six plays in offense over and over. The NFL virtually made any defensive play illegal, and there's a penalty called on nearly every play. I watched the NFL like a religion in the 80' & 90's....its not the same game.
@@Justin-ij7qi Crazy Football League is way better than no fun league. Yeah, no fun league is so boring that they pay a lot for players to stay in the league and be somewhat interested in playing.
@@SirLionofBiff no, I'm not confusing anything. You are. Dustin Nielson is CLEARLY a color commentator, he's very emotional like a typical color commentator is. Glen Suitor is play-by-play, he analyzes plays, do all that stuff.
