Used your video as a guide and it worked perfectly. Used a different switch and added a fuse. Just need to wire in some rear blinkers and get my hot wire on a switched circuit and I will be set. Thank you. Saved me a ton of cash!
I wired in the front turn signals the other day your step by step video made it easy to do, thank you for putting that together. I bought some lights off Amazon for the rear signals and will wire those into the switch. I'm being lazy I didn't want to take the back end apart. The videos are great I know I will be using a lot more of them. CF Moto baby!!!
@@JustinTheCreator perfect! Can’t wait to see the video, I’m plasti dipping my intakes so to kill time I’m going to do the blinkers! Appreciate the videos
Thanks for this. Just did my turn signals and the dash screen option Question though where did you tap in to for accessory power in general? I want to power my whips and turn signals but don't want to put the entire load on the 12V outlet wire.
Super helpful! Crazy how all these things are ready to go on the moto, i know it would bring up cost for the moto in the us. but it would be nice for moto to give us the option to pay a bit more for a loaded vehicle in the US.
Just got mine yesterday, did not know it did not come with blinkers stock or mirrors- I ordered both. Wonder why they did not do blinkers?? I’ve only gone 1 mile but fir the money it’s awesome!
Hello Justin...so I reviewed the drivers side headlight wire harness at the plug connection and I see the wire you tapped into for the blinker changes color as it passes thru the connector plug. I kept thinking that there would be an optional plug on the side by side to hook the blinkers up without splicing. So with your helpful dash removal info I looked really hard in the dash for any unused connectors. I found a small 2 wire open plug in there but dont really know what its for and later I will review further. BUT there is an entire harness head, the big numerous wire connector - main harness, that is unconnected in there and it seems to be an optional one that plugs into the large plug connector that already has a major harness connected to it...it makes me think that its an optional harness that might activate a different wiring scheme...especially since canadian models have all the blinkers, trailer wires and reverse lights installed already....didnt have a lot of time to devote to it but will really dig into it later...I was also trying to see if there is a location in the dash area to splice the wire for the blinker so more protected from elements.....and why I think there are optional plugs is when I look up the parts diagram for the electrical it only shows 1 main wiring harness for sale and its has the blinkers included in it...its wired with all the canadian options...
I know! I feel like the US is the only place they don’t come with them from factory. Lol. Where I live they are road legal, but there’s quite a few places where they are not in US.
@Rui Leal can u look at your tail lights and see if there is more then 3 wires going to it? Might give an idea if the US tail lights can be wired up. If they are the same.
@@JustinTheCreator Very dangerous, if you come in with the turn signal on, the car coming out of a side road thinks you are about to enter and yet you go straight ahead. The car will turn in for you then. I have a new Zforge next week with a closed cabin and doors. How can I send you pictures of it ...?
Love the video.. had my bike for about 2 months trying to have my turn signal lights done to make it street legal where the shop located so I can drop it off
Hi Justin, Did I understand correctly, your located in Hoosier Land? Whereabouts? I'm a displace Hoosier located in Kingman AZ. Just bought a couple of months ago a 2021 Zforce 950 sport. Wanted a 22 but no one out here in the west expected to get newer models until June and I got tired of waiting. The dealer had one 950 Sport left so I bought it. I thought the machine had everything I would need, however I missed a couple of things. 1, being a license plate light, 2 was no turn signals. The dealer here wanted $210 for a kit and $350 to install. So I decided to put turn signals just on the back as this is a small town mostly old retired folks like myself. The lights just have to be bright as most have bad eyesight and hand signals won't keep one from getting ass ended. I was wandering what year your 950 is and if mine has the same capability as yours. I have my signal lights mounted and working perfectly, si if mine are the same I can easily join them to the rear. Thank you for showing this video. I also did not know how to get into that dash panel of switch's. You are my God send on that one. Thanks.
Great video...I did mine with stick-on led strips to the bumpers front and rear - ran all the wiring too...I just couldnt figure out if the lights had the blinker ability...Since the Canadian version 950s had blinkers stock on their units I kept thinking the US models had to have a way to do that as it would be stupid for cfmoto to make 2 versions of the lights...front and rear...that leads me to believe that there is a way to get the rears to work and I will be watching for sure to see if you make headway with that...TY for this as I will convert mine like yours now...I had been hoping that cfmoto had plug and play harnesses for this but they told me to talk to the dealer for installation and that wasnt going to be an affordable option...I know the rear license light you can order and the plug is up under the rear as well as the trailer harness pigtail...just didnt see a blinker harness...there is an insert in the plugs that you have to remove to plug the license light and trailer harness in...fyi..and they are sorta hard to reach without removing the rear rack, but doable...
If I added a separate lights on the back like bolt on motorcycle lights could I just run a wire from the front turn signal wires on each side to the back light on each side separate from the tail lights. And make the fronts work the backs and not even tap into the rear factory lights?
Going to look more into the tail lights this weekend. From what everyone is saying and based on the service manual the wire or plug has to be there. If you look at the tail light were the brake lights are there are 6-7 leds across the whole light. Service manual says half are brake and other half turn. So that wire is there. Hopefully just capped and inaide the housing on US models.
Was down at procore and having them to out the turn signal switch and also having them to try a 4way flasher switch just like a car should complete the circuit and hopefully the rear light will blink will let you know if it works
Could you not splice into the turn signal wire on each side, run wire to rear and install rear signals that will work when you turn the front signals on?
The rears are setup really basic...just power for taillight, ground and brake light. You can splice into the rears with a signal genie or trailer wiring kit and they will work. Actually working on that video today :)
Hey Justin on the back of the switch I see the orange and baby blue wires, I also see a gray one which I assume is the “middle wire” you referred to and I also have a green/black wire and all black wire. Do I need those?
Does your switch light up like the rest of the switches. I hooked up like you did and dont light up. I know the switch had to other wires that the other switches have. Hoping to splice them in to matching colors and get the switch to light up also.
@@JustinTheCreator the two wires you dont use are same color wires on all the switches. So im going to connect those to matching colors and should light up.

@@JustinTheCreator Worked just like i thought. I used the horn switch. It has 4 wires the light green, two green with black strip (should be hooked together) and a black with brown strip. Connect the turn switch green w/black together and black w/brown together and it lite right up.
I would never use those 3m connectors like you used because after a while they start to corrode from getting wet. You should always use waterproof connectors. They cost a little more but worth it cause the non waterproof ones short out and ultimately you end up redoing it all again. But I guest you could make a repair video later on down line.
@@JustinTheCreator also do you have a rear turn signal that I can add that you show at the 8:03 mark of the video. Can I just guy them on Amazon and if so can you tell me the part to look for?
