Its not just about a father and son but a story of the struggle of human kind and nature. The child represents our need of energy, eating wood (resources) at the cost of their home. In the end we learned to use renewable resources (wind) and live a better life. Or. I could just be making this up.
One of the messages I saw was a story between a single father and his son. Raising a child is extremely difficult, especially by yourself. The boy *needed* the wood to survive, and the father could only provide as much as he could while keeping their home intact(there didn't seem to be any wood around to replenish the house) and eventually the final support breaks and the two are left with only a pile of rubble. The child reaches up to his father for (what I assume was) comfort, but the dad is upset and walks away from him, so the boy feels guilty because he knows that it was his fault. So, he left his father and his pinwheel and went up to the cliff (I know the pinwheel was important to the boy, because he hadn't eaten it and always had it with him). When the dad wakes up, he knows something is wrong when he sees it stuck in the ground and finds his son gone. He's heartbroken when he finds out his boy's flame had burned out, desperately trying to light it again so he'd wake up. When he lays him down and sets the pinwheel in his hands, he has the idea to use it as a turbine and get his cogs going. When the boy wakes up, they both are happy to see eachother and then rebuild their home with the boy no longer having to consume the wood to live. I took the last bit as the dad realizing that the boy didn't know he was doing anything wrong, and if it were about humans it could've been translated to the boy getting sick or making an attempt on his life out of guilt for breaking their home when he went up to that cliff. The dad figured out the problem; and then fixed it. Also, big symbolism with the father being made out of wood as well.
The lesson it taught us is the sacrifice of a father and also giving us a realization to use eco friendly materials to lessen the use of wood and cutting of trees that which will lead to destruction and death.
For those who won't be able to interpret it.👇👇👇 Actually, they wants to tell us that the sources (like which includes """"coal"""", petroleum, natural gas and nuclear energy etc) from which “conventional sources of energy” runs, will exhaust soon. So we should switch towards “Non-conventional resources“ which is generated by natural resources like """"wind"""", tides, solar, biomass, etc.
Lovely, shows how much our parents do for us... The sacrifices they make that we don't know about... And how sometimes we may show ungratefulness or greed in wanting things. 😪😖❤ Love and appreciate your parents, always.
Yes, quite often the father needs to bear what the son does to him. If the father rejects the child without offering a way back, that can destroy the child. If, however, the father can redirect the child's energies to be less destructive, he will change the child's life and allow him to flourish
A lot of things have been symbolised in this short film..... Amazed to see such a masterpiece...❤ 1st. Father's enormous love for his child... If father has to let everything (wooden house symbolises his lifetime earning) be destroyed for his child, he will.... 2nd. Child's love and sacrifice for his father... when he realised he is going to hurt his father he considered death better than hurting his father... 3rd.... It shows how the other person is ready to sacrifice his existence for the love you give him.... 4th.... There always exists a solution for every problem.... Only thing to do is to never give up.... 5th.... Metal baby represents industrialisation and wooden father represents forests.... Forests are the origin of industrialisation and now industrialisation is destroying forest.... Either of two have to sacrifice if we can't find and work for a solution like wind energy or any environment friendly source of energy....
I srsly though that the father was gonna let himself be eaten.. I had to take a look at the comments before continuing* XD Edit: Tank you all so much for the likes! NEVER GOT SO MANY! XD
I feel like this is a metaphor for progress. The wooden father represents the old ways while the metal son represents the new way specifically the industrial age. In the beginning, technology was not clean and did a number on the environment, but then we found a better way to sustain it. However, it also represents family dynamics. It isn't easy to raise a kid who is so different from you, but with commitment, love and work you can do it.
Was sure that he was gonna get eaten or the fire would transmit heat to the rest of the body, turning him into a walking "sun" thus burning the place down. he found an alternative energy source
I saw two metaphors here. The first one is ecological, it’s already been described in the comments. And the second one is kinda about being responsible when having a child. I mean, deciding to give birth to a child you must be aware it will take a lot from you, maybe even more than you can give. So only wealthy people are to have kids, and I agree with it.
10/10 lm like crying my Hart is like falling apart because of this video it's amazing lm like crying with tears of joy well at least it has a good ending.
Life is mysterious. Tons of wood were needed to keep the ever hungry boy alive. 🔥 But all that was needed to keep him alive was a half eaten wooden propeller. Energy crisis visualized and simplified.👍
So many DIAMONDS on you tube ! you can loose yourself into funstuff... but this is a GEM that has something to give, something to learn, something beautifull, THANKS !
Muito lindo isso!!! Esse vídeo mostra que mesmo se seu filho fizer algo errado, o pai tem que amar ele ainda, porque ele ainda é o filho dele. Esse vídeo é emocionante demais e incrível!!!
