Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video game review of Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour from Camelot Software Planning and Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube. Mario leaves his go kart at home and busts out his golf swing in this sports game. It seems the addition of Mario to any game just make it that much better. This video game review features Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour video gameplay footage and commentary.

Nintendo really should HD remaster all of the Gamecube Mario sports games like Mario Golf, Mario Power Tennis, Super Mario Strikers and the Baseball one and release them on the Wii U as a collection, people would go nuts for it - these games were of unusual high quality for sports gimmick games and had really good graphics for their time

This game is indeed lots of fun! Once you're good at it though, just use someone who hits the ball far and you're set though. Petey Piranha hits the ball so far in this game. This was probably one of the most memorable games for me I had the Gamecube.

I gave this game a rent. What you see is what you get. It's golf. Don't care how shiny and colorful and Mario-y it is. It's golf. If you're not into golf, you're not into this game. I'd probably stick around for the creative and funny cutscenes, but that's it.

sounds awesome. The nintendo sports game should start to fall under the smash series. Super Smash brothers golf,soccer,tennis ect.

Golf is older then the N64. I remember Mario golf on the Gameboy (there was also an NES version, although I never had it).

@JFGermann because wii sports its basically a demo that comes with the wii, look at wii sports 2 thats how it would look if it was a full game, and all they was doing with wii sports is just showing off the motion controls

@EdmacZ Well.. it's not golf sim. One without even a casual interest in the sport of Golf should be able to enjoy the title because of the Nintendo aesthetic.

Obviously it's not going to have the same depth as the Tiger Woods series. For one, there's no Lord Karnage in Mario Golf.

@nintendo706 The galaxy team has nothing to do with this game. If EAD Tokyo wants to make a Galaxy 3; then they will. Nintendo has many different companies working on many different franchises.

The problem with toadstool tour is, it's hard to see when you're setting up your shot. Mario golf 64 is a better game and either of the hot shots games on PS3 are better than any Mario golf game.

This game SUCKS. Dunno what the reviewer is talking about. It's just simplistic golf with Mario characters. The courses are dull and baerly Mario-themed as well.
