Legit a top baseball game for me. Like perfectly done arcade style baseball

This game has so much more depth than anyone realized back then. There are still communities playing it online and finding new strats and synergies to this day. So much fun, even 2 decades later.

This and the Wii version of Mario Baseball are legitimately one of the best sports games Nintendo have ever put out! i still play the Wii one once in a while!

This was the second game I ever got with my GameCube. I played it all the time. The story mode was phenomenal. I would still be playing it to this day if the disc didn’t give out on me. I shed a single tear just thinking about it.

Hell yeah dude, there is an amazing competitive scene for this game. They got a unique discord client in their discord and everything.

There’s even an online scene and custom mods for it! It’s pretty sick!

I played the hell out of this game back in 2005 (and I still play it today as well). I got it as one of my birthday gifts along with WWE Day of Reckoning 2. It's legit one of my favorite Mario sports games and it takes me back to the days when Nintendo actually cared and put effort into their Mario sports titles. Would love to see this game get ported to the Switch, but sadly that doesn't seem very likely to happen.

The issue with hitting the low number of home runs was due to not timing up the power swing right before the ball got there. You were powering up too early. If you play the WII version it is the same thing

My favorite part of this game is when you beat career mode with each main captian, you unlock playing it as Bowser and it's essentially the opposite as the normal mode

This game goes hard but Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii goes even harder.

This game was legit my favorite as a kid. So many good memories. I had to get every player in my lineup. Peach/Daisy/Warrior/Waluigi/DK/Luigi /Yoshi/Mario… Diddy Kong was annoying and hard to use for me because he had such a tiny bat. It threw me off. Still such a good game. Luigi was my favorite to play as.

aight drewski, if you're getting into the Mario Sports games, I HIGHLY recommend the Mario Strikers games, both the GameCube and the Wii one. absolutely chaos and absolutely fun. Mario sports games are among my favorites. they "simplify" things to perfection.

It's interesting to find out about this game especially because I always played the Wii Mario sluggers game as a child. Some of my best memories are from that game and to see the stadiums and gameplay make me want to play it again.

Just as a tip: when stealing and fielding, mashing B makes you run faster. when going back to your original base while base running, mashing the button that represents that base makes you run faster.

Still my favorite Mario Sports game to date. One day I’ll get a copy of it for myself. But my best friend and I used to play this more than probably any other game when we hung out! The Wii sequel is good too but just not quite the same as the GameCube game

Mario Super Sluggers for the wii was my childhood game, but I regret not playing this one too now, loving the baseball content.

MSB does have that Pro Yakyuu Famista DNA in the pitching and batting but MSB adds Chemistry and Star Swing/Pitch into the mix.
