This looks absolutely amazing, however I can't help but think that it looks rather like a colorbond roof! I am so excited to watch this project go along and I wish I could help or buy my own château to restore
This is glorious. I might write a long rambling email at some point, just read the Captain's Log all the way through and you folks are my new heroes. At any rate I greatly look forward to following this project through to the end now that I know it exists. I don't really have words to describe my feelings, I am in awe and have the deepest respect for how you're going about this. I'd give anything to be able to wander around the place before its restored, its not possible so I'm just so happy that you've set up the website and the yt account. So often I'll discover some old structure in a far away land that will have 3-4 pictures and maybe a paragraph and its something like torture to not be able to find out more, to see more, to really learn about it. This is the first time that hasn't been the case and for that I thank you. Also extremely interested in finding out what the hole by the base of the tower is all about. Was still wondering about the tunnel under the house...perhaps it went to the servant quarters where now the apartment are???Since it had all those dishes and things, maybe a place for just broken items, or perhaps a hiding area during war time...quite interesting. Have you acquired the early paperwork of originality for building?
