We had a few special guests at the chateau this summer, and so Leslie and I spent quite a bit contemplating if we might end up having a "wedding at the chateau?"
Seeing you get emotional thinking of your future daughter in law got me emotional. That is what we pray for in our family too. What a blessing! Congratulations from Swift Current💐❤️🥳
I've followed you for a few years and just started watching a lot of the episodes again, mostly when I can't get back to sleep after letting the dogs out in the night. Such a great mission. I restored a Victorian home and found so many pieces of hardware at Hippo Hardware in Portland. I'm sure Leslie knows about this great store. I applaud your mission and you are so lucky to have each other to take it on together. Please share your needs as I pray daily for special intentions in my early morning garden time. Many blessings to you and your family. I hope you'll bring up the stone tabletop with a new base for your entry. That is something you would see in a home like yours. Your lighting choices are spectacular and you respect the heritage which is a key to good results. Oh...and the dog! Couldn't be cuter. Love how he is always with you and part of the action. Think he needs a window seat in the kitchen someday.
Congratulations Leslie and Rob! This is such an exciting time for your family. You guys were wonderful offering the Chateau as the wedding venue and not pushing it. Although the backdrop of the Chateau is gorgeous and wedding pictures would be stunning! As other commenters have said…destination weddings are costly (especially airfare at this time…we are going to my mothers memorial service in a few months and the airfare is costing double plus the car rental is outrageous). Anyway it’s lovely to see that you are embracing Kim into your family. I love that you 2 do the students abroad program. Obviously like you said Rob you could do weddings and make bank on them but that’s not what your journey is about. I’m a Christian as well and your programs are helping students further strengthen their faith while also offering site seeing opportunities and learning more history of the places you visit. Can’t wait to see more chateau renovations. Blessings to you and the work you both do! 😉🙏 PS…Hugs to Mr. Bingly…💜🥰🐶
Congratulations to David & Kim! I can see you both are so excited, especially Rob (no shame in getting choked up). You have enough work without doing weddings and you are doing much more important stuff with young people. We need more of that in the world. God bless you both!
You remind me of Glen Beck. I hope you don’t find that as a insult. He’s very soft hearted especially when he talks about his children and he’s from the northwest of the USA.
Congratulations on your soon-to-be daughter! I agree that they should keep their event close to family. The people are more important than the place! One thing you may not have thought of is that your chateau is not accessible for those with mobility issues. There's probably a way around that, like entry through the kitchen area, but you'd need some kind of stair lift.
Ohhhh... Bless You.... and this episode just confirms what a genuine and down to earth people You are. This is why it is a pleasure watching You here on Chanel. Best wishes to Your whole family and their future. Wedding at the chateau would be a dream..... but having everyone there at the wedding is more important then a stunning surroundings . Xxlooking forward to next episode
Congratulations to David and Kim, I think getting married in the states is better, sometimes it's just too hard for some friends and family to make it to a destination. Maybe you can have a small intimate wedding for immediate family either before or after their actual wedding. Congratulations Momand Dad as well. Love from N.Y.
I was just thinking about you two yesterday. Glad to hear your time stateside is going well. Your big kids seem like great people (no surprise), and Amy is beautiful! Congrats to your son and his bride-to-be! Best wishes to all the family! I loved Rob's December vlogs from last year, and look forward to seeing what will happen this time. Nothing like those winter sunsets full of fog and bare trees.
I forgot to mention a really good product for damp areas. "Damp Rid" I don't know if you can order it from Amazon when you are in France but I've used in it older homes in Portland and Seattle. It's odorless crystals that absorb moisture. Great for basements, garages, or your walk in room off the kitchen. Really works and easy to manage. Not expensive. I buy it at Walmart and Ace hardware stores. 🙂😉
The kids made a wise decision. Destination wedding are very costly. My nieces and nephews are around your children ages and the money that they are putting out to go to these destination weddings for their friends could be used more constructively. Congratulations. James
Kids really have a way of surprising you. I have a son 34 Nate and daughter 32 Ashley. I always believed my son would never have children because he couldn’t tolerate the screaming and slobber and thought my daughter would have 2-3. Surprises all around. Nate is a Air Force airplane traffic controller with a girl 7 two boys 5&3 and two weeks away from another granddaughter. I truly think they will have at least 2-3 more after. Him and his wife believe that god will choose how many they should have. Natonow is the dad on the floor with his Batman costume and masks as the kids tackle him. He would have 50 kids if he had the finances. I really think maybe the will foster and adopt down the road. My daughter has 8 yr old boy and 6 years old daughter who truly thinks she is on a runway in fashion week in Paris. I love my children but I sadly had to inform them when they started giving me grandchildren that they had moved to the back of the line 😅😅😅😅 With yalls love of kids you are going to e absolutely amazed by grandchildren. You are always there favorite because mom and dad do all the punishments. You don’t have to to be strict that is what parents are for. You can teach them little things to annoy your kids to get them back for all the crazy things they put you through. I got my son boy a toy drums set with a sticker that said “This is for all the nightingale had to tell him to turn down his country music. My daughter use to jump around doing her cheerleading routines where it’s mainly clapping and hopping so this football season I bought her cheerleading camps. It’s a blast. I’m probably a wee bit crazy but I did warn them starting around 6-7 that every time they truly embarrassed me or drove me nuts over a movie that my daughter watched every day more then once of Babes In ToyLand on vhs. This meant that I had to go to yard sells to find copies because she would strip out the tape from fast forwarding and rewinding. I my I totally over shared but I always try to compare having a kid to a grandchild. As parents we say that the moment to were handed your baby the love way everything. A perfect love. Then after they poop on you for two weeks and your questioning your sanity and fill the weight of the world to protect, teach, punish, inforce, educate, encourage, enlightened all the responsibilities of a parent. A grandmother or MiMi we are responsible for FUN🎉. Junk food, loud toys, music loud, dancing, tickle wars. The pill CC
Congrats, to all.. But Most of all your children, marrying Christians, is an absolute miracle,, WOW And they want to be married, such a wonderful example in todays world,,, WAY TO GO
Hi there, luv your videos. U both have done an amazing job on your home in France. Are u from Oregon? I live in Clackamas County in a small town called Molalla.
My granddaughter has applied to come on a students's course for next summer! I told her I wanted to come along with her, but then I would have to register for a course somewhere (at 72!) to be considered a student. Unless I could volunteer????
You. Need money to maintain your chateau why not weddings you could re new the roof you could do lots of things and still have your students over Good luck
Guys I love you and I know that you love France and it is a beautiful country howeverrrrrrrr dont forget that it is a socialist country 🤷🏻♀️just saying. 🥰
Defining Socialism The behavioral ethos of socialism is cooperation. Citizens of a socialist society should recognize that they are engaged in a cooperative enterprise to transform nature in order to improve the lives of all. A socialist society's distributive ethic is one that favors pervasive equality of opportunity. So what’s your problem with socialism? If it was communist now…..
Your impressed by hunting dogs ? Killing innocent foxes ? Unbelievable This is an absolute horrendous inhumane thing to do…. So this is the last video I will be watching
May I add that foxes are very destructive to Farmers, they kill their chickens, small animals. Believe me if they were allowed to flourish, there wouldn’t be much livestock, they are also rabbis carriers. Please don’t be so high and mighty. You need to do some research and educate yourself. May I ask if you have ever voted for a pro life candidate.
@@lydiamclaughlin7100 what about the animals culture then ? Dogs attacking innocent foxes and it’s all done for pleasure of sport ???? Totally unacceptable in any bloody culture me thinks !!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
