Yes, we've certainly heard that response, but to be honest I'm not buying it. I bet 100 million people thought the same thing when they flashed that scene. It's difficult to imagine that in the years of preparation, no one noticed that. More likely in my estimation was that more than one reference was being made.
I'd try some starter spray which is sprayed on the filter then try to start. Should fire right up unless you have a bad spark plug or dirty carburetor. My lawn mower does this every season.
Rob good call on the roof you never know we you may need the contractor again. It is a pity that the wooden item that is still on the ground could not be repaired and refitted when the EWP was onsite, never mind. You both have some big calls coming up with where to position the funds and the comments have given you some ideas on what to do, ultimately it will always be your decision and this never easy. I have loved this channel for so long, and this video strengthens that love just a little bit more. I could spout on and on about the ~53 min of content that I am always here for. Hot Tub vs Land purchase? Give me Cypress of Lebanon tree footage any day - but this video's last 2 minutes is what brought me to comment. I am not a Christian - I have an influence of faith from my childhood that is interestingly precious to me, but otherwise, I hold no affiliation to any divine or Christ figure; and yet, when Rob spoke of the "triumph of love" as depicted in the Olympic ceremonies, there was respect. You used "people", not he/she which speaks volumes - whether on purpose or not. In regards to the other scenes at the opening ceremonies, I recently read a thoughtful question presented by Dr. Becky Kennedy, "What is the 'most generous interpretation'". Rob stated, "Why would you intentionally offend a group of people? {sic} It did not feel like that was France to me." Please continue to share all the wonderful nuances of living in France and chaperoning the renovation of this beautiful home. <3
I was glad to hear you were able to get the Broadwood piano. The case is absolutely spectacular and will look stunning in your drawing room. I initially wasn't impressed with the tone but it sounds like you've got a plan to fix the hammers. Hopefully, that will improve things. I will continue to follow what you do with it with interest.
I don’t get the point of insulting so many people. What does that have to do with the Olympics? It makes me sad. As for the rest your Chateau is beautiful and I’m happy that you’re introducing the young people to part of the world.
I agree, Rob! The Whole sexualizing of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics was a tragedy. It could have been done much better. without attacking my Religion and my brothers around the World. Wouldn’t it have been better just to have Celine and the National Anthem and some positive French symbolism. In fact, at one time the Catholic Pope was stationed in France. They could have played on that and the newly redone Notre-Dame de Paris. That would have been lovely, but no! They wanted to portray the transgender nightmare and claim it is natural and beautiful when in fact it is an abomination to All things good and Holy. Just my opinion but it is just my religion. Amen!

I think the pool and hot tub would increase your maintenance cost/time and liability. I would get the car or tractor. I can see how both of those will end up saving you time/money in the long run. Time is money 😊

I love your practical approach Leslie. I'm thinking that buying that piece of land to complete your gorgeous setting around your Chateau would be rewarding overall. The other items can come into play as time goes on.
I don't have a dog in the Olympics fight so to speak, but I find this part curious. Leonardo DaVinci was stone cold gay, arrested in Florence for the s-word which I can't write here and lived successively with two young men until death, the first one starting when he was 11-12 years of age. So if knowing all that , you still revere the fresco, why be bothered by some drag queens?
Rob I totally agree with your views on love. I think you may be mistaken (going by other comments here). I think you are correct about France, there is no need to be disappointed, it was a depiction of a Dionysian feast, not a disrespectful dipiction of the last supper. You are correct, why would France try to insult half the world?
Becarefull with the pool idea, because you will have to pay taxes and they want to increase the level of tax so the tax could reach around 700 to 900 euros per year. Hot tumb will be better, but before you have to ask to the Mairie the rules just to make sure. This is just an advice 😊
The opening ceremony was trans mocking Christ. I won’t be watching the Olympics this time. They would never do that to the Muslim faith why to Christians? God rules the power all over Paris shut down except for theCitadel
I was offended by the Lord’s Supper reenactment. I’m not watching the rest because of it. Just my opinion and no one else has to agree. I am Anglican. I really think the lawn mower might be the spark plug. Liked the first dresser/chest that you looked and the bookcases. Some rugs looked nice and the price is right. Would really like for y’all to get the rest of the property. It may not be there forever. Have a great week!

Oh my, Trees of Heaven are more like Trees from Hell!! I had one growing up under my front deck (through a crack in the cement none the less) and it took over two years to finally kill it. 😬 The chateau is gorgeous and the piano will be a great addition!! ❤

For the "white washing" of Jesus, it would be a different word, something like "misleading" or "ethnocentric". I suppose you could describe both situations as "disrespectful" if we're trying to find a word in common.
Rob, a 10yr warranty is standard in France, and I believe a requirement by law. That said, your Mairie (Mayor) might have been helpful in the case of your disagreements with the roofers. That “SIRET” number issued by the govt, that allows contractors to work, but can also be withdrawn if they are found to be in violation of obligations of work. A simple consultation with your Mairie might have helped.

The French national anthem was beautifully performed and the artistry was amazing. The peoples of France are free to express their liberalism, acceptance of LGBTQ, differing music and culture presences and all the variance. There was no insulting, it perused acceptance. We may differ here! Intentional not to offend, but to gain an open mind.
I’ve seen an apparatus used behind a tractor to remove weeds in gravel. It is a bar with chain attached that is drug behind the tractor and agitates the rocks pulling up the weed as it goes. Might work for your square (which is beautiful by the way!) 🚜🌱🌱🌱
I love the idea of additional land but it seems you already have a large enough chunk of land to maintain. I am definitely going to try the bicarb of soda on the weeds in my garden

I have always thought that you should rebuilt the swimming pool because the students will enjoy it in the heat. I would have built a swimming pool before the hot tub. After reading several of the comments here, I have changed my mind. I would have prioritized either a new roof on the stables or bought the neighboring property. The stable because if the roof collapses completely, it will be a more expensive job. Buy the neighboring property because imagine if it would be sold to someone who wants to build something commercial on it, for example a large supermarket with a large car park. I've heard some other Chateau channels say when they were looking for a Chateau, they came across some where that was the case.
