Hi there, my name is Leo and I run a studio on the westside of Norway where I record and produce bands, do video work and play live shows.

@@insiddious Finnish is basically an alien language to Norwegians - in some ways it's literally closer to Turkish than English or Norwegian. Though the pronounciation from written text isn't that far off (no plosives, almost all letters make the same sounds including ä and ö). Leo pronounces it really well, I think the biggest tell is really just the consonant and vowel lengths: in Finnish they are always stressed/long when you have two of the same consonants in a row, like "pelkÄÄkÄÄn tätä mAAilmAA" or "kuNNes en enÄÄ pysy tuoliSSa". Otherwise you pronounce them short unless you want to imitate some accent or whatever (and then you have to know what you're doing). Leo mixes this in a couple spots but it stays super clear & comprehensible all the way. Oh and he also did the Swedish/Norwegian "o" in a couple spots (in Finnish you pronounce it like in "morning", in Swedish/Norwegian you pronounce it like in "who")

@@insiddious Yes, Finnish and Estonian are on the same language branch! I'm a linguist and that branch is very interesting 🥰 I don't speak either though, they're very difficult to learn (I'm Latvian).

@@Brucestm-dt3ip The Finnish language and the Norwegian language are very different. Their origins are different, look it up if you want to know more. The Swedish, the Norwegian and the Danish are more similar to each other than finnish is to any of them. :)

Very impressive! It managed to both make the instrumentals reminiscent of the original yet work well as its own song. Unlike some other metal covers I've heard, this one wasn't simply Cha cha cha with heavier instruments, but an effective re-imagining. Well done!!
