It was said as a joke. Sterling is always praising the others' performance and he's extremely humble, so he always says that he had to put on a lot more of effort than the rest (so that's why the director "hated" him). And he and the boys (Doug and Michael) were very mischievous while on set, pranking each other all the time, which made them to be often scolded 😂

It's been so many years and I still love this show especially the ship Sonny x Chad. Sure kinda sad bout the end which is why I'll avoid watching it but happy to know that both ended up together in the end. Still want SS 3 tho
