Well I believe he's saying if you want to be successful you have to invest in yourself and spend below your means. You don't have to be flashy he's doing no different from those who put all their money in assets and only pay themselves 200000 a year to 180000 the rest is in business
I believe the numbers are 47 million over 11 Seasons plus endorsement dollars. For being the CEO or COO of a major Fortune 500 company, you say? No he got to play a game, that I played for free.. still doesn't feel like America's giving him a fair shot. No cure for narcissists
@@OrangeCrush012 there’s a clip where Chad showed someone one of his bank accounts and it was $16M sitting in there..that’s prolly what he’s referring to
@@BEAUTYnIQ you most definitely can't unless it's a huge cut. Smaller stones shine damn good. Diamonds are over hyped and price controlled, not even that rare. The fact semi rich folks spend hundreds of thousands or millions on shiny rocks confuses tf outta me. I'd take that cash and invest in a franchise to let it earn me cash not hemorrhage value.
Diamonds are diamond it’s Gold that’s value was is and always will be cause that is our ancestors blood and it’s an indication where the first civilisation was
@Mike he said he’s not rich but he’s well off so therefore he’s fine and living better then you or I and just isn’t happy he didn’t make mondo millions like the owners of the team
@@thegentlemenrat3727 He's not happy..." Wrong. He's saying what he's saying because he wants to maintain what he has but understands he's not wealthy enough to be foolish with what he has. That mindset will keep him well off.
Since I didn’t know who either one of them were. When he said he’s been Broke since 78, and the other guy said no with that smile. I honestly thought this was about to be something deep. By the end on my third rewatch because I had to make sure I didn’t miss anything 🤣 I’m like oh this is cap. He still rich, and his jewelry probably super real 🤣
I'll never forget bengals summer camp in Georgetown KY mid 2000's, he had a pink 70s Cadillac on 24s with the top down in the players parking lot lol. 85 has and always will be my favorite WR of alltime

He’s s very smart man I’m the same way tell everyone I’m broke but I’m actually doin we’ll problem is everyone looks at what you have instead of improving their situation
So if u buy nice things you aren’t rich ? It’s a lot of Rich wealthy ppl who ball out . You just wouldn’t know it . Like 13 million dollar Yacht 🛥, 2 million on a 3 paintings. Just a different flex
Wow a lot of these newcomers can learn a thing or two from him I'm glad I had a chance to meet him while he was in high school down in the hood at his grandmother house very humble dude
Think a lot of people don’t get what he’s saying. He’s only still rich, or “well off” because his mentality is that he’s always broke. It’s smart and takes a lot of self control im sure.
That’s not what he’s saying. He knows people with real money…even Kanye west said it. We don’t have money like that…yea they have a lot of money to lower class people but there are people with billions…
@@MrSPIDEY21 partly yes, but mainly he’s saying he doesn’t consider himself rich because if he did, he’d be poor. But yes he’s also saying “I’m not rich, I know some folks that are RICH”
The day I found out even millionaires feel poor because they always compare themselves to billionaires actually made me feel physically sick. When you come from nothing and get something, it's really different mindset.
OchoCinco is crazy fiscally responsible at times. He grew up relatively poor, and is still in that mind set to keep him from being broke. Actually a good mentality to have. If you want to stay well off, you don't act rich. Love Chad
Money is relative to being intelligent enough to know what real money is and what it can really afford you. Know the difference man… know the difference 🤣
Chad’s cousins in Miami watching this interview “Did his cheap ass just say he broke”. Actually never mind they ain’t even pay the phone bill so they ain’t see it 😂😂😂
I love how chad is so humble but he really should give incite to his investments and businesses he owns so that younger players not yet retired can model after him. He’s a good role model, has done really well for himself outside of football.
That's real talk right there from a real man he's so sincere I can see it in his eyes all these rappers throwing away all this money save that it all shines the same people out here spending millions of dollars on jewelry just to say look at me meanwhile there's homeless people starving right around the block from you sad world we live in today
Yeah maybe if they would go dig 5000 feet into the ground they would be makeing money but they bum ass setting on a corner and im homeless I know it's because I don't work yall gullible asf these "homeless" people go buy .2 of meth and go back to a garage somebody let them live in and call it a day I've seen it plenty of times im out here doing the same shut but I buy food and gas not meth like everybody else there's a difference and no he ain't broke he has a house he's fine he's still paying bills off playing football 20 years ago lmfao I can play football but I ain't out here saying I'm broke I barely let people help me dudes looking for handouts like a crackhead
I’ve been fucking homeless, struggling to afford food, repo’ed car, no family help, and lost all 3 of my jobs in 2020…and now that I make a comfortable living after grinding it out in 2 states and 3 different cities, I cherish and enjoy every single dollar I earn. I was poor my whole life, but the anxiety and depression from have a negative bank account is so much worse than being disciplined to save. After what I’ve been through, I find it hard to feel sorry for these athletes who’ve blown millions of dollars even after they’ve said that they grew up poor
The algorithm definitely brought me here, because I just watched a short the other day were he said he stayed at the Bengals facility his first 2 years in the league because he didn't want to pay for housing. Broke is not subjective Chad and you ain't broke, you're cheap! 😆
Listen, I been saying I been broke for years. Reason being is cause my goals at a certain level and all my money funding my goals so ain’t much left in my budget to play with. Today Chad said he kept over 80% of his career earnings. He living off that. To be able to do that he had to be broke all those years.
THANK YOU, someone finally called out these celebrities on their bullshit sob stories about how their owners/managers make more than them. Yeah no shit they’re gonna make more than you, they’re the ones giving you the opportunity in the first place. Not to mention, they’re still making a shit ton, I hear all these rappers and athletes and actors complaining about how the higher ups make way more than them, meanwhile they’re still collecting 7 digit checks so what’s the problem???? So what if your manager makes 100 million while you’re only getting 20 million? IT’S STILL 20 MILLION
Even though I'm broke-broke and I don't know his pockets but I feel him. Shit like this is how I know I know my worth is higher than I'm lead to think. I deserve more and expect to get it in my hand... but only after I move my feet.
My only critique to Chad's advice is people should save their money but for the purpose of investing it. When low to middle class people just save money, it always ends up being used for a rainy day situation. Because there's always an emergency around the corner. Whether the gas and food prices go up drastically or land lords jack up people's rent by 30% or layoffs. A lot of crazy stuff been going on the last few years man.
Glad bruh called him out on this bs. I love when celebrities be in they million dollar mansions an driving foreign cars being like “IM SO BROKE!!:(“ bc they don’t have as much money as their other celebrity friends. Meanwhile my ass tryna figure out if I got enough gas to make it to work next week
three McDonald's franchises Johnson owns three McDonald's franchises in Cincinnati, Indiana, and Miami. “You think this lifestyle provided itself?” Johnson asked co-host Brandon Marshall. Along with having ownership, he has credited it for supporting him during his football career.
This man and I sat two rows away from each other on a flight from Naples FL to Cincinnati OH and it was a commercial flight no first class or nothing special cheap and efficient💯
I think he made all the right decisions to get him to the 2020s because if he had bought into the hype and bought real and expensive items then he would have been broke for real. I respect the woman who stayed with him, because some women will hate hate you for being caution and careful with how you spend your money.
I love his humbleness and authenticity talking about all his jewelry being fake false fuck that. HOWEVER, there's a difference between humbleness, naivety and stupidity. This man is not broke, and for him to say he is is absolutely absurd 🤦🏼♂️😂.
I think he has saved every penny that he could. He is more than likely sitting on millions. Remember, when he was a player, he stayed in the players lounge for two years until he was forced to move out.
